It's Draymond Green kicking off my 14th NBA season and the new season in my podcast.
Trust me, I'm not holding back. Listen to the Draymond Green show wherever you get your podcast.
Reggie, I just sold my car online.
Let's go grandpa. Wait, you did?
Yep, on Carvana. Just put in the license plate, answer a few questions,
got an offer in minutes. Easier than setting up that new digital picture frame.
You don't say. Yeah, they're even picking it up tomorrow.
Talk about fast. Wow. Way to go. So, about that picture frame.
Ah, forget about it. Until Carvana makes one, I'm not interested.
Car selling made easy. On Carvana.
Pick up these, man, apply.
Was your situation just one of those that it just didn't make sense to play in one game just
to make things worse? I mean, take care of it now so you don't have to worry about it in the future.
Yeah, pretty much something just flared up on me and yeah, I thought it was better to try to
manage it then and miss one game than making it worse and then you got to see how long after that.
So, yeah, just trying to be smart. We're obviously trying to play a lot more hockey this year,
so just managing the body. How did practice go on Monday?
It was good. Yeah, I felt good. Yeah, obviously we got a long thing right here, so
hoping everything goes well and I'll be good to go tomorrow.
I'm going to tell you injuries and taking care of your body.
How important is maintenance and preservation at this time of the year?
Yeah, I mean, we play so many games and especially with the condensed year this year with the
Olympic break, it's a lot of games in short amount of time, so yeah, at any day you can try to get
some treatment or work done or just when you're away from the rink and make some sort of decisions.
Yeah, crucial down the stretch here. Zach Meets, I stepped in next to Rasmus Stallone for that game.
Have you been almost amazed at what he's been able to accomplish? I mean, he's come in here.
I don't think he's been scored on since October. I mean, he's come in here and just played
great at 27, we're all rookie at 27. I mean, what are your thoughts been and then plays a good
game with Rasmus? Yeah, he's a heck of a player. He obviously maybe a little older of a rookie,
but I think that helps him. I think that gives him, you know, a little more poise than maybe a
young kid stepping into the HL. It's a little nervous. He doesn't seem nervous at all. He looks very
composed out there and always seems to make the right play and yeah, unreal guy. So I mean, he's
playing great. He's fun to play with, easy to play with. Yeah, he looks good out there.
Was it nice to see the third period? Do you guys, for a couple of games, had some turnover problems
but I don't think Toronto got a shot for the first 11 minutes of the period. It seemed like
you guys were back playing, you know, killing plays, playing defense the way you knew how to,
and that must have been nice to see the team back at it. Yeah, I think there were some stretches in
the last couple of games. Well, maybe we were again a little too cute. Not sticking to the game
playing fully and gives still their team some life when we don't need to and watching from
what Bobby looked like in the third period of the guys did a good job against Toronto and
definitely limited their chances and had a bunch of other way and yeah, got the job done. So that
was nice. Has there ever been a key to the success on the road that you guys have had this season?
I don't know if there's like one thing. I just think it's really tight groups when you go into
like a hostile environment. It's kind of fun to go at it, you know, with each other and kind
of band together to get the job done against, you know, obviously the other team, but the crowd as
well. I think it's something we take, or we have a lot of fun with and so it's, I think that's
probably led to some success on the road. It's been like getting to know the new guys, Shen and Stanley,
what's up and getting to know them and how they've been. Yeah, they've been great. I feel like
we're a pretty easy group to get along with, pretty young and a lot of energy. So they fit right
in. Great guys. Like what they bring the table and the ice obviously. So it's been a lot fun.
