It was like you had to be relieved with a hit like that, you were able to recover fairly quickly
and continue in the game and not get hurt. Yeah, yeah, I know for sure it was a big hit,
definitely knocked the window to me. Yeah, I know it was nice to come back and secure the win.
Now you have always been there for a teammate. It must have been nice to see your teammates
be there for you also. Yeah, no, it's a great feeling. I mean, obviously we're a brotherhood
in here and obviously Oste and then Tom or Dolls met everyone just jumping in.
So it's great to see and we've been showing that all year. So it's awesome, especially when
you're the one getting hit and knowing guys got your back. We know how you play and that's the way
you want to play and that's where your coaches want you to play. I mean, you get under the other
team's skin and get a mat at you. Do you think sometimes maybe you can become a target when you play
like that because the other team just hates playing against you? Yeah, I mean, I think that
hits different. I think that's, you know, I put myself in a bad spot there. You know, obviously
kind of thought he was going for a change and then obviously it transitioned up. So he didn't
decide to change and came barreling across and and and hammered me. So you know, it's one of those
plays that happens and I'm just glad I'm okay. How about the way you guys played the 40 minutes?
I mean, you had to one nothing lead that you protected for 40 minutes in that hockey game.
How were you guys able to do it and be able to protect that lead? Yeah, I mean, I think I think
it would be played out of his mind. You know, he made some big, big saves at key moments and
you know, I'd be lying if that's not the reason we won that game. So obviously he's the the big reason,
but we also played pretty sound defensively, especially after the first 20 minutes.
You know, we still gave up chances, but it became up big, but I thought we definitely limited
the chances as the game went on. Back at that game and say, you know, there are some opportunities
there. Maybe we could have taken a two or three nothing lead and maybe passed up a couple of really
good grade A opportunities. Yeah, I think so. You know, we've got a lot of skilled players in this room.
We're going to try and make plays and you know, sometimes you try and make too many, but
you know, that's, you know, we're not going to stop that either. I mean, that's what makes us so
good. We're so skilled and can make those plays, you know, on two on one and you know, maybe issue one
or two, but you know, that's that's an instinct moment. You played against Celebrini in Buffalo.
Great hockey player. When he's on the ice, what is your plan if you're up against him?
Yeah, I mean, super special player obviously watching at the Olympics and what he did there.
And, you know, what he does in this league, it's, it's pretty phenomenal and
he's the guy you got to keep your eyes out for. And if you're on the ice with him, you just kind of,
you got to know he's out there and, you know, make sure that you kind of get over him and not let
him build up speed and give him time and space to make plays because ultimately that's when he
becomes dangerous. Hey there. I'm Kendra Adachi and my show The Lazy Genius Podcast helps you be
