People should check it out. It's a great way to plan out your weekend and your entire your week for that matter Michael
Great to have you back. Thank you so much. What do you have us going to this weekend? Yeah, there's a starting out in Dexter at the encore musical theater company
They have a production of a rent going on runs through May 3rd
So just a couple more weeks to check that out. It's of course the
Tony winning
Musical about a impoverished community of artists in the east village living under the shadow of AIDS
So it's kind of a heavier work
meant for mature audiences
It features a real inventive rock score
intricate choruses and some really nice lyrics. So 7 p.m.
Going on Friday and then I think various other times you check out the encore musical theater or the encore theater
Org for the complete showtimes. All right. Thank you. What's next?
We have
Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra. There's spring show. They're playing hosts the planets which is
Really cool piece. It's inspired by a series of
Different moods that the composer was in which he then
Ascribe them to different planets. So it's a series of pieces about the planets like Mars, Bringer of War
Jupiter, Bringer of Jolody
They have a whole lot of
Fun little pieces in there. So that's going on
There's a few other
Works in the program as well, but that's the main one 7 30 p.m. Hill Auditorium on Saturday night
All right, and where next
Do a cool event at the live night club
It's been being put on by Randy Tessier and some of his friends as a benefit for fugathers and the
Southern Poverty Law Center
Band called Saints of Soul
Which is a Detroit R&B Soul and Funk Band
Fronted by really good singer Sora Brand Stone. That's got to be fun
Yeah, it's it's a good band and then there's this other band there have opening. It's a new band called The Bleeding Hearts
But it's a real all-star local ensemble led by
Well, Chris Casello who's no longer local, but he used to be the
Frontman of the Wattuzis and the starlight drifters
And then you moved to Nashville about 20 years ago, but he's back to play with
Billy Mac of Billy Mac in the Terrapains Randy Tessier a
Few other great local players. I know you know, it's interesting when these people all collaborate together
I look at the names and I marvel because each of them is a standout in their own rights
And they often come together and do something like this where they start a band and it's like well
It's a new band, but it's like the same guy yet. Yeah, they're amazing
So it's it's a really cool show. I think it's a donation thing going on
Okay, I think six or seven p.m. At live down on first street. All right
Are we on to Sunday? We are already here on to Sunday
Ann Arbor Audity's bizarre is going on at the Washington farm council grounds on Sunday. It's
Different Audities vendors selling off kilter art clothing. They'll be taxidermy
Uh, some fun stuff. You don't have to buy anything, but it'd probably be cool to check out
10 a.m. The four p.m. on Sunday. All right
Cinderella the ballet. Yeah, there's a touring ballet company called world ballet company
They're based out of LA and they're coming to the Michigan theater at six p.m. on Sunday to perform
the Johann Strauss
ballet Cinderella
Of course, the rags to riches fairy tale there
It's got a cast of about 40 dancers real labyrinths sets going on
Highway, you know, highly
high-value
Production for this one. So
Definitely check that out, especially if you have kids interested in ballet
six p.m. There again a Sunday at Michigan theater
All right, and then we're going to wrap it up at the arc this weekend. Yeah, arc on Sunday night
