#05: It's all connected - Bitcoin the Network
About this episode
This exciting episode delves into Bitcoin’s capacity to serve as the world’s first instant clearance monetary network. This is the third step in building the foundation of what Bitcoin is so that we can then compare it confidently to God’s character and His requirements of those who use money. Ultimately, we want to carefully answer a specific question, “Can Christians (or non-Christians) trust in Bitcoin as a moral, durable, and valuable monetary system?”
Questions we discuss:
1. What is a network?
2. What are some examples of current networks and how they became valuable or even indispensable?
3. What are some of the networks that Bitcoin will subsume or replace?
4. How do we see Bitcoin becoming a network before our eyes right now?
5. What needs to change or improve in Bitcoin as a technology before its capacity to serve as the world’s monetary network is realized?
6. What needs to change in the world before it can use Bitcoin as a monetary network?
7. What are the primary value propositions of Bitcoin as a monetary network?
8. Are there concerns we should have about using/developing Bitcoin as a monetary network?
9. What is a network effect?
