Every team, every topic, everywhere. This is believed.
Is this our final top 10 list? It just might be. These are the 10 most added players and all fantasy basketball today.
I'm Dan Vesperson. This is Old Man Squad. Fantasy basketballs were winding down the regular season just a week.
Little over a week, little over a week left. I know.
Hurts, man.
But it's okay because we go all off season long and you're going to hang with us for all that right.
Don't you just want to hear me yammer in your ear? You might not.
Here's the list of the 10 most added players across fantasy basketball today.
That list is number one. Usman Zhang. Number two is Kobe Brown. Jamal Shed. Slides in at number three.
Naju Marshall. Number four. Kennedy Chandler is number five.
Mamu. Sandra Mamu. Kellashvili at six. Price sense of all at seven.
Kelley Ubrej Jr. Eight. Pressure Satua slides in at number nine and Colin Sexton is your number ten.
Let's begin with a look at Usman Zhang.
What he's done for us lately. And the answer is quite a lot in his last ball game.
But again, we're working with sample size here. Most recent game for Zhang.
You played 45 minutes, finished with 36.7 boards. Ten assists of steel five turnovers.
Five for five at the free throw line. That was cool.
Managed to go 15 out of 31 from the field. You'll take it.
But we also have to understand grain assault on a lot of this stuff because the Bucks had the whole team on the shelf.
Kevin Porter Jr. out. Yanis out. Portus out. Miles was out. Kuzmo was out. Torian Prince was out. Gary Harris was out.
Gary Trent left seven minutes into the ballgame. I can't remember to Ryan Rollins sit that ball game out too. He might have been out in that one also.
When you take one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, eight and a half guys out of a rotation.
You're left with a very, very short rotation.
That's not me saying that it that it wouldn't be fun because I am kind of leaning towards telling you to pick up Usman Zhang.
But it's also worth noting that like once Gary Trent went down, there were seven players available or actually played an Alex on a Deku Bo.
Doesn't even really count. He played four minutes of non-inconsequential time.
The starters. Excluding Gary Trent. Zhang played 45 minutes. Pete Nance played 40. AJ Green played 47. And Jericho Sims played 36.
Kormack Ryan, who as I said on a recent show is very much, you know, he of backwards name. I'm going to call you Ryan Kormack and he has nothing you can do about it. Now Kormack Ryan played 38 minutes off the bench and everybody went, who?
At least we know who Usman Zhang is. Now it sounds like in the next bucks game.
You're going to get at least some of these guys back. I don't know if Gary Trent's going to play. I think he's questionable with a hit pointer, but Rollins is back. Miles Turner is back.
Who's my is back? Those guys are likely to be two of the top three usage dudes on the team, meaning Usman Zhang, who was number one in this last ballgame gets pushed down from one to at least number three.
Maybe even number four. There's no arguing that that last ballgame was a good one from a statistical standpoint, but it's also worth pointing out that Zhang is not typically a great field goal per cent guy. He doesn't hit many threes steals and blocks have been good over the last week.
But you know the what have you done for me lately category 30 minutes game over the last month, he's averaging 0.9 so not many.
So what we're seeing here is a guy that is not a good percentage is guy is probably a little bit high and turnovers honestly because you know young and thrust into handling the basketball scores and rebounds and assists a little bit, but doesn't really do a whole lot else.
So while I do agree that there's probably a case to be made to have Zhang for when the bucks played tanking teams or if they're resting guys they have a back to back Tuesday Wednesday next week.
They played Memphis Sunday Brooklyn Tuesday Brooklyn again on Friday. There may be two or three games here where Zhang gets to cut loose and go crazy, but I don't think it's going to be all of them.
And so if you're in roto which many of you that are still playing are most I would say that are still playing are probably doing roto at this point.
You want to make sure that the only times you drop him into your lineup is when the other guys are out.
Play a number two is Kobe Brown who listen, I'm not going to change my stance on Kobe Brown. I don't think he's all that great of a basketball player of a fancy player.
But the Pacers much like the bucks have some games happening where a lot of guys are out.
And so Kobe Brown has played 27 33 and then 28 minutes in his last three ball games and when he gets minutes like those he tends to get one and a half three pointers.
He's at 11 18 and 17 points for four and eight rebounds three five and six assists. He has three steals and two blocks over those three games.
Not a big steals and blocks guy in general, but again, if you're going to give him 30 minutes, he's probably get a bumble his way into one to two combined.
I would think look at most of the games he's played in the high 20s. He's gotten a defensive stat.
So from a nine cats down point, I don't know that Kobe Brown is actually going to get there. He's on a pretty good heater over the last week.
Again, very, very small sample size for Brown last week, 29 minutes game is at 15 five and five on 66% shooting from the field.
And he's made all three of his foul shots.
His steals and blocks are also higher than expected. Everything is going right.
When he levels off, dropped back down into the 50 some odd shooting free throws will come down steals will come down.
Three will come down points will come down. Probably assists will also come down as well.
Kobe Brown is not a guy that I think needs to be on every roster, but Ernie Smith has already ruled out as you can see.
And Renem hearts out, teach him a connels out. Sounds like siacum is playing, but whatever.
Like there's enough minutes going around in Indiana, where you can basically just say, like Brown is probably going to get to play a little bit.
So top 100 is probably the target for Kobe Brown, mostly a point rebound assist guy, but at least he's going to get you OK percentages on his way there, which again, more than we can say about who's my jang, who probably has the clearer path to usage.
But Brown has the easier field goal opportunities as a big man, more traditional big man.
And so I kind of lean a little bit in his direction.
Next player on the list whose face just got chopped off. There he is is Jamal shed of the Toronto Raptors.
He's playing more because the manual quickly has been out. No one's a pretty easy one, you know, one thing tied to another quickly has been out for what three, four ball games in a row now.
What was the last time IQ played as he missed six games.
Yeesh, I guess I went out of town and I forgot that time still elapsed.
Jamal shed over the last two weeks is averaging seven points and eight assists. He's outside the top 170 because he shooting 36% over that span.
Over the last week, he's been a little bit better number 73 eight and a half points nine assists two steals shooting a robust 44%.
It's better and it's enough better that it makes all the difference.
Some of the good stuff for Jamal has come because Brandon Ingram is also missed two of the Raptors for most recent ball games.
He's a very small uptick in usage that he wouldn't have otherwise had, but for the most part we're talking about guy in shed whose main job is to get steals and distribute the basketball to Barnes to Pertle to Ingram to Barrett, etc.
I mean when the team is healthy, you can add other names in there as well, but the big difference lately is that he's playing 29 minutes a game largely with the starters.
So it's been very easy for shed to get assist because the guys he's passing to are just better at hitting buckets.
He's not attacking. He's not like orchestrating the offense. He's a part of it. He's a cog in the wheel.
I don't think we can assume he's going to get nine assists and two steals a game. So assuming he's going to be a top 100 guy is probably expecting maybe a little bit too much.
But from a specialist standpoint, shed is one of the best specialists going right now that ability flip on over to what he's done lately and just the overall numbers.
That ability to really hone in on two key stats to be hyper elite in a couple of things is a big deal at this time of year because most of us are attacking categories in roto in any format and not just overall full scale statistics.
We want specific things. That's how we get our team better.
Rappers are a weird one.
They're minus 170 to land in the play in.
Where are they at right now? That's over at Fandall in the Fandall sports book. Where are the raptors? Where are you at?
Toronto 42 and 34. They're tied with the sixers.
Yeah, I don't like that wager. I started to and then I didn't. They've got Boston Sunday, Memphis Friday, Miami, Miami, New York, Brooklyn. These are not easy games about Philly Minnesota Detroit San Antonio.
Whoa. Yeah, I was a Houston, Indiana, Milwaukee. So they got a couple of easy ones at the end. I mean, I could see Philly going, let's say they lose the loose San Antonio. They'll probably lose to one of Detroit or Minnesota.
They lose maybe one of their last three, three and three.
Could Toronto go three and two? How's that possible? One, two, three, four and could the raptors go four and two?
Beat Memphis, beat Brooklyn. That's two. So they're going to have to win two out of Boston, New York and a double Miami dose.
I'm guessing the sixers on the tiebreaker based on the way that numbers looking. I think I'm going to shy away from that. I thought about it.
And then I thought better of it. Yeah. So anyway, if you think the raptors can jump the sixers and you've got faith that maybe I don't have, then have the sixers to make the play in there plus 100, even money.
That's probably a better call. Who's the next one on our list? Naji Marshall out in Dallas is the next name on our list. Let's go to his game log.
It looks really good when you just look at the field goal attempts and field goals made, but then you slide over and you're like, wait, where's the rest of it?
So Marshall is coming off a 19.3 rebound three assist five steel game. That's obviously a really big number for him. And he's been better again lately after kind of a downturn.
And Dallas is doing some weird stuff. You know, PJ Washington has missed the last couple of ball games. Marvin Bagley's list missed the last couple of ball games. Not that's not quite as big of a deal.
Cooper flag's been in Brandon Williams has been in Daniel Gafford's been, I think he missed one of them lately.
Here we can go over these numbers. There they are. And Marshall, who has missed a couple of ball games, has been on a pretty good little mini run lately.
You know, the scoring's been good. The rebound. He's another like really good point rebound assist guy. Don't name any threes.
Feel go percent tends to be kind of okay. Feel free throw is math does not get many defensive stats. The five steel game was really weird.
Because if we, I mean, if you scroll down defensive stats, he gets a steal roughly, but almost nothing else.
So what do we expect at an IG Marshall? I think we need to look back at come more like the last month. And if you look at the last month in 29 minutes of game, he's outside the top 200 because you can see the shortcomings and free throws turnovers feel goal percent three pointers, even the rebounds haven't been as good as we would have wanted.
16 points, four boards, four assists and a steal isn't bad. But again, you got to be stat hunting. You can't care about blocks or threes or percentages all that might be not bad at them, but he's also not very good.
There's just like the upside if that's what you're attacking this part of the year is an individual categories and not overall rank.
The overall rank of 22 over the last month tells us that the bad has outweighed the good, but if the bad categories don't matter to you, then who cares. You're just looking at the good 16 points, four boards, four assists and a steal over X number of games could be considered useful.
So for me, I'm probably a pass, but there are a lot of scenarios where I could see him ending up on rosters and it being an okay decision.
Same story with the next guy is Kennedy Chandler out in Utah who just signed a rest of season contract. So I don't have to worry about the silliness anymore.
Chandler's been a guy that when he's been in there, he's typically played a lot, but he's minutes, not his minutes, but his games have bounced around because of contract situation.
Didn't they just sign up? No, didn't they didn't do it end of season. I think they signed up to another 10 day.
So why would we play Kennedy Chandler is the question. Well, he's at 14.7 assists over the last two weeks. That's solid, but everything else has been kind of bad, really bad feel goal, quite bad free throw.
The steal is met. One three pointer is not very good. Three rebounds is not very good. Even 14 points is not all that good. So I don't know. I mean, again, like you're going stat hunting and he's been pretty good at assists lately, but what are you, what else are you hoping for?
You want to catch lightning in a bottle? Hope that you get him on a good game week.
I think we can do better. I really do. I like the fact that Utah is paired down the rotation and everybody's playing 33 minutes of all game these days. That's fun, but it also kind of seems like Chandler's not going to be a great shooter, necessarily.
He's at 31% from downtown and not all that many of them. And then like high 60s, the foul line 42% from the field. That's a lot to overcome.
Or guy who's not even scoring all that much. It's kind of assists mostly. I think I'm probably a no.
But again, a lot of these guys. It's about what you need. Usman Zheng. When guys are out is a yes. When guys are in is probably a no Kobe Brown is a guy if you're, you know, hunting OK percentages and point rebound assist stuff.
Jamal shed is a great assists and steals stream. Not as you Marshall is a great PRA point rebound assist stream. And Kennedy Chandler is kind of a assists mostly guy.
Next name on the list is Sandro Mamou Kellash Vili. I feel like he's getting over added. And I get it. He's coming off a few good ball games here. He's actually scored in double digits and six games in a row.
And he's been on a pretty nice little heater, especially from downtown shots falling right now for Sandro. There's no way around that 333223. That's the number of three pointers he's hit lately. And he's shooting over 50% from downtown over his last six ball games.
How many did I just say 16 of them out of what 10 15 21 25 29 16 out of 29. That's actually extraordinarily impressive 16 out of 29 over his last six ball games. That's a big number for a center. And that's been able to float his overall numbers as well because he's probably going to shoot OK from two.
But the threes are really falling right now. So overall, he's on a heater.
Doesn't get to the foul line all that often, but he's not terrible there. He's not great, but he's not terrible. He's an OK rebound or he's an OK passer for a big man. He actually does get a few steals.
And if we look at again, we'll do the sort of what have you done for me lately game. If you look over the last two weeks, kind of whoopsies.
Why don't I just hit son of a gun. There we go. And if you look at the last two weeks over his last eight games, even though the minutes haven't been that consistent, 14, 5, 2 assists, 2, 3, 1 and a half steals 58% from the field.
Stop 60 numbers for Mammu. But I am worried about the low minutes, you know, like he's not going to shoot 58% from the field and hit two three pointers a game long term. We know that because he never has and he's not about to.
It's a very good six game sample size.
And obviously the best of these games tends to happen on back to backs, because y'all completely there doesn't play one half of them or plays sort of sparingly on half of them.
The 30 some admitted games have been the back end of the last two back to backs for Toronto.
They have one more next week, April 9th and 10th, if you're looking for another sort of spot play, but I'd be a little nervous about using Mammu in games that are not on the back to back when he's in that 20 minute range because historically 21 minutes hasn't been enough for him.
He's done this a lot and he hasn't been a top 60 guy in those in that count. He's just on a really good heater. So look for the back to backs. That's the spot to play Mammu and roll with that.
I'm a little surprised this dude is on as many wires as he is and that's price sense of all who's been lighting it up for Utah, especially since they've gone to this unbelievably short rotation.
I mean, look at the scoring. You can go back almost a month, 21, 29, 31, 22, 41, 24, 13, 26, 18, 28 points. That's a lot.
The medical term is a butt load. That's a butt load.
What did I just do here? I really screwed things up. My basketball monster page just went on the fritz. There we go.
Last three weeks sense of a top 60 averaging 25 points per game.
I don't care that he has the prototypical shooting guard fantasy game, which is points and threes and usually maybe one other thing.
Lately, he's been so good at points and threes that the fact that he hasn't been that great at almost anything else. He's actually been on a heater. He shouldn't feel go percent been good.
Hasn't like he's done enough 1.1 steals free throws haven't been all that great, but I think those will probably level out a little bit higher than they have been don't expect many rebounds or assists. That's not what he's good at.
He's good at scoring. He's a ball in hoop guy. I think he belongs on rosters. I think he's probably on a lot of rosters.
And again, I'm surprised that he was not rostered enough to the point that he could make the most added list feels like.
Feels like someone was running behind, doesn't it?
Three more names. Kelly Ubrei Jr. is the first of them. He's going to be unknown. No, I don't care.
This is because he's on a back to back. This is why he was on the list on Friday. Philly plays back to back Friday Saturday. They think they're the only team in the NBA that goes back to back.
I'm grateful. Actually, that we didn't have to talk about more 76ers. Kelly Ubrei is the only one that made the back to back cut here, but he just there's not even remotely close to enough things for him to do.
Provided Joel and B comes back from his illness.
I mean, if him beat Mrs. Time, maybe there is sort of barely enough for a break, but even then I don't think I really want it.
This ball George is around. That's the one when PG was out. That's when we were able to do a little lubricant cooking and then he got hurt.
So we didn't really get a chance to enjoy it. So no, I shall pass.
Don't know what this dude is doing on wires either precious to Chua. He's been great for like a month and a half now.
What the hell is taking everybody so long?
Last month, precious is top 60 dudes averaging 17 and 10 with a steal a block on 59% shooting over the last month.
Absolutely no reason why precious to Chua should be sitting on any waiver wires anywhere. His fantasy game is weird.
It has been forever, but the Kings have just cut him loose. It's cart blanche precious time.
Go shoot rebound and defensive stat and hustle play your way all the way to the finish line.
Precious you got a week and a day to go. I believe you can do it. We might as well all just enjoy it together.
Don't care how many games he's got left. You want them. Whatever that number is, you want them very easy call on precious.
He's far the way the best player that we've talked about in this top 10 list and I don't know why he wasn't already at it everywhere.
And the last they want today show is Colin Sexton who much like prices to Chua not a guy that I typically like the fantasy game for.
But he's in a spot where things are working well at like with the Chua where the Kings are just giving him the opportunity to go be part of an offense.
Because think about where precious put up his numbers before it was typically just rebounds and steals and the new.
The extra gear for him in Sacramento is that that teams like yeah, yeah, we all suck. Go ahead and shoot.
With Chicago and Colin Sexton. It's not so much a yeah, yeah, yeah, we all suck. Go ahead and shoot. Colin has never been bashful about shooting.
It's that the bulls have kind of I don't know if we should give all the credit to Chicago, but it kind of feels like the bulls have mushed him into a new type of shot profile.
And it hasn't been subtle either the number of three pointers for Sexton has exploded in Chicago.
And the minutes are lower. He was a 25 minutes a game. Sorry, he was a 22 minutes a game in Charlotte taking three and a half three pointers a game in 25 minutes a game in Chicago.
He's at five and a half. He's never attempted five and a half three pointers in a game in his life.
And he's had years replay. I mean, we look at Cleveland. I think it's still on the screen right now. Yeah, back with Cleveland six years ago, he was playing 35 minutes a night and he took four and a half three pointers a game.
Out of 18 and a half shots and it was 14 twos and four and a half threes right now in Chicago. He's at five and a half threes six and a half twos.
So he's shot by a profile has completely changed and it's really for the better.
Like get rid of the low efficiency stuff. He's always been a good feel goal per cent guy. That's despite not always having the best shot profile. Now it's get closer to the rim if you're attacking attack.
Get your butt to the free throw line. Take four free throws a game in 25 minutes. Take six a game if we give you starters minutes.
Take some threes. You're a good three point shooter sex. Then why didn't you take more of them? He's been 39% or in his career and he's basically been 40 for the last five years in a row.
He's finally leaning into an enemy. I know the bulls are in a silly place in like Camelot, but they have definitely convinced him to do modern NBA.
And it's been good for sexton. He's not a great passer out of the point guard spot. I dare to say pretty bad. Not a great steals guy, although those are a little inflated with Chicago right now playing against teams that don't care.
Do I think he's going to be top 50? Probably not. He's shooting 53% over his last 10 ball games. That's a number that probably won't hold. But 49 50 is doable.
And as long as you know, and for the Simon's doesn't show up again, which he might who knows, but we're so close to the end of the year. So I'm going to assume he won't.
Did they rule him out finally for the year they might have, but they they cut Jade and Ivy. So the only real impediment right now is they have pretty Simon. So I don't think he's coming.
Sextons getting a lot of shots. Trade Jones is getting a lot of shots. Modest Pizzela, Josh Gitti. Those guys are just having fun in Chicago and losing. So it should have been years ago.
Bulls world's slowest rebuild.
His column of sex in a part of the future probably not, but they have made him a more modern NBA type of player.
So I'm an ad on sexton. And that brings us back to the main list where I can give you the recap of everybody we talked about.
Usman Zhang. He's a play when Milwaukee rests their regulars. Kobe Brown. He's a play if you need points boards assists on OK percentages, but otherwise.
No, Jamal shed really nice assists and steals specialists. Najie Marshall point rebound assist specialist. Kennedy Chandler is kind of a no for me.
Sandro Mama, Kelly, I'd rather just play him on days when one of the other centers is out, but he is on a vicious heater.
So if you went down that path, I don't think I would totally kill you for it, especially with them playing Memphis in this game.
Bryce Sensible ad. He's scoring so much you can't ignore that despite the shortcomings. Kelly Ubrei is a firm. No precious to chew a firm. Yes, and Colin sex then is a probably yes.
So we did have a few names in this top 10 that I think belonged on rosters and hopefully you guys that have an opportunity to add them as well.
That is our show probably our final top 10 of the year. I don't know that there's a reason to do one over the final two day weekend next week.
We probably at that point just be like, here's the guys that are out. Here's the guys that are doing well. All of our shows next week might just be an injury board.
Literally every show will do a box score show and then it's going to be like who's injured now.
For now, remember, we go all off season long. I hope you'll join us for that. I'm Dan Bespritz for Old Man Squad.
I'm going to see basketball. Thanks for watching the top 10. Thanks for watching all year. Talk to you soon, everybody.
