Indiana survived a sluggish shooting performance to defeat Incarnate Word 68-61, moving to 4-0 in the Darian DeVries Era despite shooting just 20.8% from 3 and missing several open looks throughout the game. The Hoosiers built a comfortable 19-point lead with stellar defense through the first 30 minutes, but allowed Incarnate Word back into the game late before responding with clutch plays from Tucker DeVries and Tayton Conerway to close it out.
Brian Tonsoni and Bob Moats break down what happens when a perimeter-oriented team can't buy a bucket, examining how Indiana's defensive intensity (holding Incarnate Word to 0.95 points per possession) and physicality on the boards in the second half kept them in control even when nothing was falling offensively.
