#142 - Is This The End of Sponsorship?

A news packed episode this week with so much to talk about including the Super League Arena Games, Ironman New Zealand, Geelong 70.3 and a look at the recent Tokyo qualification of Chris Thompson, an On sponsored athlete who wore a blacked out pair of Nike's with permission from On.

This makes us ask the question, if every athlete is choosing to wear the Nike super shoes why would they ever sponsor an athlete again? Almost every pro athlete in any race now uses Nike if they are sponsored or not. So will we see an end to athlete sponsorship for shoes or will other brands catch up?
