About this episode

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

In 1997, Luc Besson released his film The Fifth Element which became a sci-fi for many. During the making of that film, he'd hired the Valerian comic artist Jean-Claude Mézières, who asked him why he was not just adapting the Valerian comic instead.

In this episode of The 602 Club host Matthew Rushing is joined by Alice Baker and Mike Schindler to talk about Besson's adaptation of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. We discuss our experiences and expectations, the imagination station, the cast, the story and our ratings.
