2026 Week 2 Report || 2027 Dynasty Rookie Scouting

0:00It's another fine day at Camp Dynasty. I am counselor Austin joined by counselor Colin. We're talking week two of college football this week and I have to say week one very exciting. Lot of our of our top guys showing up. Lot of the guys we were very interested in over the summer showing up week two. Lot of the same thing. 2027 rocks. Yeah, I was sitting there and when we were picking players I was like, I'll just run it back because all the guys that performed in week one performed in week two again and then some. So diversify a little bit but I think you'll hear some familiar names on this one too. Yeah, we got a few repeats but you know sprinkle in a few names here that you know the badge sashes

1:03for some of these guys will certainly fill up over the course of this season based on how things have started but we'll get some new names in here of course every single week. But we're not going to start with a new name. We're going to start with a player who's two for two here to start the year. Yeah, we're just going to start with Jen Baw. He's getting the playground bully badge. Florida took on Campbell. The camels which is awesome. I love that. And he was just going like he just moves different than any of these running backs that like you sit here and he kind of runs with this like forward lean but he's also like very balanced despite that he like runs with this lean and then his like lateral he kind of has his jump cuts and made a guy fall in this game didn't keep his footing after he made the guy fall because of the grass but it was just like

2:07time after time he was doing these jaden ball things that you come to expect and just seems like even though they don't lean on him heavily where he only had 14 carries in this game. Turning out a staggering nine and a half yards per attempt so far this year and has five touchdowns on the season so far. This game had 14 carries 136 yards two touchdowns following up 140 yards and three touchdowns so less miss tackles forces this game didn't have to make 13 guys miss in this one only made four but had a 75 yard run which is one of his touchdowns so just just one of those games where it's like you make the inferior opponent look inferior. Yeah and I had to imagine he probably they probably only were playing stars like yeah it was 38 to 3 but a half time. Yeah so I mean we got 19 or 29 carries total on the year

3:09and already has 276 yards and these are in games where it's just like whatever you know he could have ran for 300 yards to be played the whole game but I mean 9.5 yards per carry on this young season for this player I mean it you know it's not fair because Amad Hardy is not on the field right now but you also kind of have to just say this was a really good player coming into the year and it feels like through two weeks he is asserting himself as maybe the RB one and it doesn't you know this could change all year long it doesn't pay to crown anybody in September but like the tide is shifting here and if nothing else it just says how like how great this running back class is like if a guy like Bob emerges here and is taking the next step which is something that you know I was kind of hoping to see let's build on the big sophomore year it seems like that's

4:12happening here if that happens great you still got two really good ones behind him on top of it so either way everybody wins if you get if you get one of the top three in this class but Bob is certainly taking things to a different level and still has not caught a pass this season like he still has not needed to catch a pass that is something that we know he can do very well yeah and correction 45 to 3 at halftime I forgot he scored his wildcat touchdown right at the end of halftime so right before halftime so yeah this one wasn't particularly that fun to watch I don't think unless you were like hey there's a bug in right yeah right you know it's sometimes if you're a fan of the player of the team these are these are pretty fun to watch yeah it's the camels but all right let's talk about a player who we did talk about last week but did not give a badge to officially so he is getting his first official badge of the 2026 season and that is Reed Harris

5:20this is a player that has very quickly come on to the scene and disproved my weather report from this summer so we're giving him the meteorologists are always wrong badge because I watching his film from Boston College last season did not see a player that looked particularly athletic did not seem to have the juice at this size 65 to 20 to be a real factor as an NFL prospect had great catchpoint talent but a lot of big guys do if you can't separate and you can't move it doesn't matter at all well whether or not it's just the player getting much better over the course of an offseason or me missing something or both it's time to learn the name Reed

6:23because this week against Texas A&M member last week it was Morgan state and we're just going to beat up on them and whatever like we'll see what this looks like moving forward this week was Texas A&M and he had nine catches on 11 targets for 189 yards and two more touchdowns four touchdowns and two games for Reed Harris umari and Miller was a non factor in this game and Reed Harris had almost 200 yards so we're talking about umari and Miller as the wider seabird to watch in this offense and obviously still excited about that player as well but Reed Harris is looking like the real deal the athleticism that I wasn't seeing from him last season is showing up in a big way because he's stretching the field and in this case it was against an SEC opponent and a good team at that and he was he was making a pay over the top consistently winning in contested situations

7:27which is something we we already knew that he could do I kind of threw out the name Jaden Higgins last week and I think that's a good place to start with him we could be talking about something even better than that yeah I really like he ran like I don't know it's like a slant it's like a sluggo into a corner I don't know exactly what you want to call that but he ran that and seemed like he was not expecting the ball and then it was like in the air and he reacted to it adjusted to it and then caught it and it was like a big 25 30 yard game something like that and it was like good tracking like that that was pretty sick he had the the big crossing route that he scored on that was like a 58 yard touchdown and then like doing some good little things where he ran a nice slant route good hands catch on that over the middle had a good little like wheel fade out of the

8:28slot where as little rub route and the guy ended up catching up but he still caught it with a guy in his face so definitely a lot of plays where he had to either get himself open or he made these contested catches and then made these plays on his own after the catch so there was a lot of good things on the the red hair state and the after the catch point is also a good one here because that was something where yeah in the number side of things 5.3 yards after the catch per reception last year but it wasn't something that I was seeing as a particular strength from him at Boston college I wanted to see a big player that was physically imposing actually be physically imposing with the ball in his hand and I wasn't seeing a ton of that in the games that I watched of him from last season this year I can't even say that a lot of it's been you know physicality after the catch it's kind of just been pure speed yeah but he has you know started this year 146 yards after the catch

9:32that's almost 10 yards per reception so you're seeing a big body receiver with big body receiver skills who's also showing you this this threatening speed to create big plays time and time again it's it's a really exciting player that we are certainly going to have our eyes very closely on for the rest of the year that's right how about a tight end man let's talk tight ends let's do it we'll go to Hunter tipped in out of Memphis this he's a junior this is the first time we've talked about him and that's because it hasn't done a whole lot before this week two game against Boise State had 62 yards on the season before this had 411 at middle Tennessee in 2025 had 34 totally yards at Louisiana Tech in 2024 so this was a full on breakout game and I say that because

10:35there's nine catches 229 yards and a touchdown and those are the kinds of box scores that make you say hold on what did I miss in this Memphis game yeah go back and you're like hey this guy has got something man because it's not always where you you go and you're like okay well this guy just had broken player whatever and did kind of have one but I will say the Memphis play collar was cooking I don't know what the hell was going on there but Mason or Hunter tipped in starts in the backfield as like the inside zone kind of full back almost and then they go play action he inserts into like the foregap and then runs a seam and he's getting the seam yell later back because he outruns the entire defense on that and I don't know the exact let me let me see the exact yardage on that because he was gone he was moving and this is not a small guy 87 yard touchdown and he also had

11:43like a couple other plays where he made some really really nice contested catches up against the sideline so a few times where it's like hold on what's going on here and then holding it down as a blocker at 6 5 240 pounds so something to make you raise your eyebrows a little bit and be like hold on what what's going on here in Memphis yeah that I mean this is an all-time tight-end performance yeah you just don't see tight ends put up over 200 yards in in college games very often and I mean a big chunk of it comes on that on that seam play the little creative kind of insert route type of deal but again he's showing his speed there it's not like it's just like busted coverage totally it was like he got ahead of you know he got past the defense but like then he pulled away for like 50 yards like I don't know how many tight ends score on like I saw

12:45John who Smith catch a pass wide open I know he's old but like catch catch a pass wide open behind the defense and then get caught by three guys like I don't know how many tight ends would score on that because he still had like 30 yards of of yak to go right and so it was an impressive you know ability to finish that play for a huge you know 80 70 or touchdown but then also like those play the contested plays that you're referencing like the one where he's like up against the sideline and go and just like mosses the I don't I think it was a linebacker maybe but whoever it was I mean he just absolutely owned him there and and then he let him know like they're on ground and he's like ripping the ball away from him yeah that was awesome so he's got you know there's the fireiness there that's that is something that we actually do look for and want to see in tight ends do you kind of play with a little bit of an edge and it seems like he was doing that in

13:45this game on top of having that athleticism so yeah it's I mean it's a player that has like you said not done a ton a 400 yard season last year at middle Tennessee not bad like that's that's really solid but for him to to put this kind of performance on display early in this season I mean this is certainly now all of a sudden a player that it's like all right is this a flash in the pan moment or has hunter-tipped in kind of arrived on the scene yeah and had five mistakels forced in this game had a total of seven in his career beforehand so it's like hey maybe feed this guy the rock I don't know and like 31 yards against Arkansas state last week but that equated to 5.17 per route run right so it's like maybe this is just something where it's like we're gonna start getting this guy to ball a little bit more huh and then all of a sudden it was like oh yeah all right this could be like the centerpiece of our passing attack yeah and this was a 9.96 yards per

14:51run and so it's like this is a guy that is probably I mean seems like a blocking tight end that they're like oh okay we can get him the ball too well unfortunately Memphis did lose this game and on the other and well a big reason for that is Boise State's running back Dylan Riley one of two talented running backs on this roster but Dylan Riley in this game had 19 carries for 206 yards he did not have a touchdown I believe at least one or maybe two of them went to the other running back whose name is escaping me right now but Dylan Riley was a player that we had briefly kind of just brought up in the episodes leading up to the season where we were kind of talking about some of the deeper names in this class this is a player who has a sophomore last year at Boise State had

15:521100 yards 10 touchdowns so you know we obviously have seen Boise State running backs prove themselves in the NFL in the past let's you know obviously genty but let's go back to Jay a Jay remember that name I mean so I do what a player wish he had wish he had you know cartilage in his knee or an ACL or whatever it was but um but yeah Dylan Riley so you know obviously it's a name to watch kind of coming into the year and and week one against Oregon it wasn't really an inspiring performance 2.9 per carry 50 yards but this week completely unlocked he had a 200 yard rushing game last year picks up one here against Memphis 10 yards almost 11 yards per carry he is getting the the stat sheet stuffer badge from me because not only was this 260 yards but it was also all of those

16:56little things that we're looking to see it was 13 mistakels forced in this game it was 6.58 yards after contact per attempt he was winning in all of the ways that we look for running backs to win not just you know obviously there was some really nice blocking for him in this game the the real long run that he had in this one was was a really nicely blocked play he didn't have to do too much on that but in in the other areas picking up tough yardage where he could enforcing 13 mistakels forced really impressive game overall yeah he is patient and slippery which are two qualities that complement each other really well because he like sits behind that line and he'll put his hand on the back of a guard and everybody when you ever you see a patient running back you'll invoke the name of Lavin Young Bell but he has a little bit of that especially with this like good

17:57boys he's state all line because he has like you can sit back there and wait a a beater to and then go and then he's like leaning forward these guys are sliding off of him and falling forward for a few extra yards and so it was definitely an impressive like play to play performance from Dylan Riley on top of the highlights another player earning his second badge of this young season KJ Duff Rutgers wide receiver we thought that he might be back in camp after week one but we didn't think he was going to be coming back to back he's getting the back to back badge because we went out against Boston College and just you know decided hey this is going to be the game plan we're going to get it to the 626 125 pound wide receiver and we're going to do it as often as we can he got 16 targets week one against UMass and a loss got 12 targets in this game this term

19:03into eight catches buck 37 and two touchdowns pretty good if you ask me so this is just a case of a player breaking out early in the season player that is like on the wash list that you're hoping will do this kind of thing and he's on pace to to have just one of those seasons where he's getting funneled the ball he's this big slot receiver that I mean he had one slight route where I don't think this corner even read the play as a pass because he like came out so casually and then popped out of the break and the guys like oh shit I got I got to cover that guy so there's just a few times where it's like he's just operating at a different level than these offenders I'll be interested to see what it looks like when we get into like playing against some better teams but I mean these teams are better than Rutgers so I don't know if that says anything but scored on

20:03a rub route I'm not going to give him too much credit for that but for the rest of the game felt like he was just dominating this Boston college defense had a had a deep played on a second touchdown where I mean the little like corner post ish where he gave him a little bit of a shimmy and then stemmed it and it was just like by he's just absolutely behind the defense burn and everybody and you're like the man you can do that and then you can also shake a guy loose on a slant route with like two yards of separation pretty good yeah that's what stands out about Duff is his route running ability at this size I mean this is a player that you know obviously again it's you look for these indicators of who are the guys like if you're not obviously you can't have eyes on everybody before a season but who's a guy that had a really good sophomore season that we should be paying attention to and this was one of them a thousand yards hidden at Rutgers like this is not a

21:04you know these these teams where it's like you're not in the spotlight okay how the hell did KJ Duff end up with a thousand yards seven touchdowns last year what did that actually look like and then you find out yeah he's actually a really talented player and he's obviously taking a step forward again this year I mean all you said it all the routes that were on display here just absolutely nuclear cooked that corner on the slant route and like truly didn't look like the corner was even awake yeah I think that was just him making a really great little move on his release but and then working down the field yeah I mean it's so he's he's showing you all levels of the field and ability to win with route running and athleticism and he's got the size where you know that's showing up for for nine and contested situations on the young season that that number can probably even increase use a 61% contested catch player last season so I mean in a year where we were

22:09excited about the size of these players talking about guys here like Reed Harris KJ Duff both clearing six five and having athleticism and route running ability I mean it's a it's a real dream wide receiver class for anybody that was missing the size that we didn't have last year yeah exactly another wide receiver familiar size yeah uh maybe a badge every week will be in the cards as long as we choose not to get fatigued which right I am saying I refuse to do it let's give elite players badges every week this is of course Jeremiah Smith I mean like truly you know you talk about the size the athleticism of Duff and Harris and nobody compares nobody is on this level I mean in this game this was the game you know this the

23:16630 Saturday spotlight everyone's watching this thing and we saw what happened in the fourth quarter we saw who won this game it was by no fault of Jeremiah Smith that Ohio State did not walk away with the victory here because eight catches 16 targets uh 164 yards and a touchdown that brings him up to three 15 already on the season which would put him uh fifth in college football right now I mean he's just an athletic freak I mean that the stutter go that he ran in this game it's like the fact that he is moving as fast as he was right out of that move is just a proof that this is a different kind of thing I saw a lot of Julio Jones conversation on the timeline during this game that's been a thing but I think we all just are going to get very comfortable saying yes this is that

24:21kind of player that kind of talent and that's just what we're in store for and I think I'm ready to like be completely off the sand train after this game especially watching Jeremiah Smith and seeing like him be yards behind a defender and then getting under thrown and having to come back and make like a spectacular catch and it's like hey I mean good for the highlight reel but like he could add 240 yards in this game if he had just been like led on two more throws instead of having to come back to the ball but uh yeah the the route running that has been on display uh with the Jeremiah Smith so far this year is like shocking because it felt like a lot of physicality involved in getting him open uh is freshman year especially but uh partially is sophomore year where the the row running started to get a little more refined but it was uh you know it hit and miss I would say

25:25feels like he's like a pretty polished route runner so far this year and that on top of the the physical tools that he has is like man uh I don't know what else to say about this player but uh I'm gonna talk about him for 12 more weeks I can tell you that it's yeah we just you gotta just enjoy it just just remember that even if he start to get sick of hearing the name weekend and week out just remind yourself this doesn't happen very often even when it seems like every year it's Marvin Harrison Jr is the guy the generational talent and this guy's the generational talent people just say shit like that including me because it's like it feels special in the moment until you see special special and then you're like oh that's right there's this level of a player yeah I loved on the touchdown that Jeremiah Smith caught in this game that he caught it up the scene and was like cognizant of where he was because he I mean

26:34when you're running those seams in the red zone like you're gonna have a safety coming over and he had the both of the two two of the three high safeties like kind of sandwiching in on him and like caught it and got down so neither of them hit him I'm just like when you're playing the game at such a high level where you like are that spatially aware of what's going on with everybody on the field you're just playing different and and that on top of the one-of-one athletic size profile that just that's what solidifies it right there yep all right uh how about our first IDP badge of the year yeah we're going with Caleb Woodson this is a member of the Crimson Tide defensive unit uh transferred over from Virginia Tech got poached and it's because he's a damn good player I tell you what this guy is very athletic and was all over the field in this game uh had 12 tackles had

27:37two sacks had eight stops which we are big fans of here that means that you basically prevented any as soon as you touch the guy you prevented anything positive from happening on the rest of the play so uh stops are the like if you have eight stops on 12 tackles you are a very productive tackler you're you're not just like racking up those check down vacuum tackles where uh you might see some of these guys get some inflated numbers but um all over the field used kind of as a pseudo cubie spy in this game against Kentucky where Alabama was down 14 to seven at one point like this was not a k-quak game for them um and the the first the first score that Alabama had in this game was on defense where uh Caleb Woodson was playing excellent coverage and ended up throwing it underneath to his uh linebacker mate met uh where he had a pick six so this defense was doing

28:40its part against Kentucky um where uh Bama's quarterback who his name is escaping right now through a pick six in this game so it wasn't all on them that they were losing so but Caleb Woodson himself uh sideline to sideline player decent in coverage i wouldn't say he's spectacular but uh i'll keep saying this no linebacker was ever expected to be spectacular in coverage till Fred Warner came into play um and now everybody's like oh you want your linebacker to be Fred Warner too bad sorry you get Caleb Woodson who's gonna you know make a wrong read and then peel back get to the opposite side of the field and then make the tackle short of the sticks so good player fun player very athletic and has good instincts in coverage because he vacated his own in this game because the the quarterback rolled out uh nobody filled that zone and he got the sack on the play and it's just like that coming from tape study that is good stuff yeah this was an incredible game

29:44and i mean just the athleticism very much on display with the you know he blitz from the linebacker position off the edge and just flying to the quarterback and like leaping wrapping him up it was you know very impressive stuff and the stat sheet obviously tells a story but the tape tells another story and this is certainly a player that you know you think about the linebacker position at Alabama how many times have these guys been relevant NFL talents IDP relevant players even though he's a transfer we're seeing his impact here this year and so uh if he keeps it up like in like it looked in this game we'll be talking about another one yep all right talk about another transfer this is why it young wide receiver Oklahoma state one of the most productive

30:44players in college football last season at north Texas talked about him on sleeper chasers he did in fact get a sleeper warning on that episode and we saw why in this game against Oregon Oklahoma state really struggled in the first game lost to Tulsa in week one drew mess the maker looked like he wasn't ready for the spotlight of power four play uh and they turned that around real quick with an upset victory over Oregon why it young getting the duck hunter badge from me because this was just you know five catches 121 yards a touchdown I mean 24 yards perception a walking big play a player that we praised in the summer for his yak ability but in this game you really got to see what he can offer stretching the field and the one play was a flea flicker and another play down the sideline but like the speed is very apparent here and you throw on top of

31:49that all of this amazing yacht talent that he's shown us in the past um and has continued to show us so far this year but I mean a really fun player that I hope this uh cowboys team can build on this momentum because this is the kind of offense that I was really hopeful could uh have a run this year and put white young really in the spotlight yeah mess the maker we can step up in the pocket everyone so I got a guy loves fading back oh yeah and then throwing off the back you're not Jordan love yet buddy no no yet uh also Caleb Woodson getting the stop sign badge which I forgot to say but uh yeah oh white young fun to watch in this game I mean just in general the the Oklahoma State Oregon game was like one of those shocking upsets where uh I mean mess maker obviously getting a ton of love in the preseason and getting projected as one of these guys where it could be

32:53a top pick at quarterback because of the tools and then come out and have a statement game like this and white young being one of the recipients of this kind of breakout performance and uh being a big part of the breakout performance because he he's open a lot and like you said uh the the deep stuff was really good ran a really nice post route that he scored on had to slow down a little bit because mess maker wanted to fade away and uh drop back at 12 yards but still got the ball all the way down the field and only made him slow up a little bit so scored but uh there's just a few moments where it was very impressive the the the the catch that he had on it was like a crosser coming right to left on the screen um and he had two Oregon defenders in tow and caught it like upfield shoulder it was like man this is this is high level stuff I like it yeah to see this

33:53you know this was one of those things where it's like okay he was at north Texas last year I know it was 1200 yards 10 touchdowns one of the most productive receivers what's it gonna look like when we get to the big leagues and I mean we saw it this week this was the big leagues and he showed up so this is a player that maybe you know maybe it's not a first rounder but this is a player to watch in that day two kind of range right all right well that's eight badges for week two and there were many more that we could have handed out like this this class is not uh it's it's it's making it pretty hard to decide which eight we're gonna talk about so far through two weeks because it's just so good it's so good it's so good unfortunately not everybody can always be good on every given week and that is why we must make the call home

34:57and this week we're gonna take it to that Ohio State Texas game once again this time on the winning end of the game but I think maybe it's time to just check in yeah this is again the call home isn't like hey the you know the world's on fire everything's bad it's just like hey we gotta check the behavior because it's not it's not up to par and it hasn't been up to par for cam Coleman on this young season uh this week was four catches for 49 yards again it's not a terrible day it's not like he just was a non factor but I think when you have Jeremiah Smith on one side putting up 160 four yards and you have cam Coleman on the other side who a lot of people have been telling you is like well he's he's in Jeremiah's ballpark and then he does this

35:57there's a reasonable reaction to say okay what's going on here because even last week 70 yards against Texas state did have the two touchdowns but we were given Ryan Wingo the badge last week shouting him out for a big performance and it's not a it's not a situation where cam Coleman is not a good player or a good prospect but I had reservations about the level of projection that it seemed like we were all placing on him heading into this year and it just feels like what we're getting right now is more of a indication of where this player was coming into the year than you know this where we all wanted him to be exactly yeah exactly yeah I it's it's interesting coming into the season because cam Coleman very toolsy guy I mean six ritual one very smooth mover and just like the reason I was sitting here wanting to make the call home obviously had like the big

37:03viral play of the drop that turned into the interception and it was like oh like what's going on here and that that was I mean wasn't a perfect throw but could have hauled that in and it was like if he makes that catch what kind of conversation are we having about cam Coleman and the usage of cam Coleman I think has been really interesting because it's not of one that is like a bonafide wider seaver one that you see these teams come out and you pepper them with targets and you use them on these like just try to get them the ball as much as possible short routes whatever like however you can he's a got a 19 a dot like they are targeting him down the field in these contested situations he's three for three on contested catches so far this year he's a red zone guy I mean that this is a player they are trying to feed the ball in the red zone but it feels like Brian Wingo has been their player and we talked a little bit about this last week when we go got a badge that is

38:05like they're kind of down to down engine of the passing game and then cam Coleman's almost like the game breaker where they're just like all right time for a big play let's try to go to cam Coleman yeah I don't and I want to be really careful with how I say this because I going into the year I really thought that this player was very overrated and I'm I'm a human being so I am not going to pretend like everybody saying this is a top five or top 10 talent in this draft class he's a notch off of Jeremiah I'm not going to say that that stuff doesn't bleed into my you know thought process yeah I had Charlie Becker over the player because I thought that he was clearly better on film last year but I still had cam Coleman as my number three wider seeber and there were certainly a lot of things to like but there was so much projection involved in that

39:11because what cam Coleman really was last season at Auburn was an elite contested catch x-wide receiver like that's what he was his best moments on film were in contested catch situations he had this wierry long frame with a lot of fluidity and that was also an appealing piece of of the player but it wasn't always translating to good route running the fluidity wasn't always like oh he man he's cooking on these routes like a lot of the time it was just he looks he's moving well and he's making really really nice catches down the field and honestly what we've seen this season is that they're targeting him down the field and allowing him to make plays on the ball and he's doing that he's three for three like you said he almost made an amazing play down the field on that play that ended up with an interception like that was of that would have been a highlight real catch

40:15and it just so happened to somehow turn into an interception but so I'm saying this to be like narratives are very powerful and I think there's already this sense about cam Coleman that he's this elite white receiver prospect in a class where we already have like the elite white receiver prospect and I just don't really think that we need to say anybody is close to Jeremiah Smith like let's just stop with that let's let cam Coleman be a fun white receiver prospect but one that clearly needs development still and if he's going to earn this spot in the in mock drafts that he's currently getting it's going to need to we're going to need to see that on the field and through two games we haven't seen it yet this player has always been more fun to think about in the what if sense than it then the what is and we're still seeing that through two two games at Texas

41:21there we are man I just I don't want to I feel like I'm raising my hand here is like I'm the cam Coleman hater of the of the year and I don't want to do that because I he's a fun player but like you just can't let it infect all of your thoughts about cam Cole right like it happened with me with kc conception yes you can't let it take over your brain no and that and that's fair and that's why I mean I I see the best parts of his game too it's why ranked him where I did but he's very firmly in a tier with the player like Charlie Becker and maybe guys passed that even like it's a it's a wide open race and so that's those are good players they are Charlie Becker Charlie Becker three touchdowns this week the five on the season through two games here we go maybe he'll be able to get a badge next week maybe see that yardage pickup you know we are we're suckers for the big stat lines here that's right all right that is week two of college football but we're not done

42:25yet for the first time this year it's time to gather around the campfire and reminisce about the campers of old on all grown up week one of the NFL has come and gone and it is a magical time in the world I hope that everybody listening to this one their week one game the panel in front of you today one and one yep but it's okay that's statistically I think that's how it's it's a it's a rebuild it's a retool you know it's it's always a retool I feel like I'm I'm trying to build a mountain but the the hole I'm digging is my grave well who are the who are the players who

43:30are the campers of old maybe specifically even the guys from last year which were questionable at best in most cases who who stood out to you this week well I just want to give I'm going to give a group shout out okay to the rookie IDP because this was the strength of the 2026 class and they came out and showed up and showed out seven of the top 10 scoring rookies in week one IDP Josiah Trotter Anthony Hill got Caleb Downes Dylan Thedham and Chris Johnson Sonny Stiles Jacob Rodriguez those are all players outside of Chris Johnson that we were championing throughout the draft process throughout the season and just came out and delivered week one as soon as like these guys like Josiah Trotter just like as leading the pack with a 32 point game had a sack had a pick six had 10 tackles I mean these are the kind of stat lines that you

44:36want you're like superstar linebackers to have Anthony Hill turning out a 16 tackle game in his debut I mean Caleb Downes had a sack had a bunch of four solo tackles tackles for loss I mean these are all performances that you look to these stars of your defenses to have and they just came out and said yeah week one I got it it was the it was the saving grace of the 2026 class was that we had an elite group of IDPs coming in and specifically at the linebacker position which was sorely needed and I mean yeah you said it we got to see it even out of players that I would have said are not going to be week one if not year one factors like Josiah Trotter who had seen like the infrastructure was laid for a very young player to develop behind veterans that they have brought in through

45:39free agency Anzaloni Rose Boom etc and he was on the field most of the game and had a bigger impact than anybody else and so it's like here we are man like here's the next gen of of IDP talent in the NFL I mean Caleb Downes big game that was a that's a good one to see because you're always kind of like elite IDP or elite DB talent prospect but like how does that translate to fantasy it did this week so yeah I was like phenomenon who I didn't really anticipate because like you look at the the final box scores and it's like Jacob Rodriguez yeah sunny styles yeah you kind of expected that but like you said there's just a couple of Caleb Downes even you kind of like in your mind's eye kind of picture of that as like they're going to do well Thinamann and like you said Josiah Trotter two guys that it's like yeah I don't know exactly what

46:40it's going to look like year one I this might be a little bit of a red shirt kind of thing and we'll see year two and to see him come out week one and Thinamann kind of thrust into this role because of injuries and like hey we're going to rely on you and him having ten tackles and while that may come at the expense of the panthers scoring 39 points and like you know not having your starting DBs that you planned on maybe a part of that but like hey when it comes to fantasy and you got a guy like Thinamann that projected as one of these tackle machine safeties that can come up in the box and make some hits I think that that's a really good thing to have for your fantasy yeah we'll obviously talk a lot more about these guys on this on the IDP front throughout the year because I think this is going to be that kind of class where a lot of value was found in the second round and these are guys that are only going to increase in value as we go looking at the offensive side nothing crazy this week but I want to just shout out a couple of

47:47players first of all our guy Antonio Williams the most forgotten name in the 2026 class it felt like player that we had talked about from the summer onward really nice you know kind of well actually go back to last year because it was kind of like you know is this going to be a player coming off of a nice sophomore season at that point for Clemson did not take the jump that we wanted to see he goes back to school we're still keeping his name alive and then he has a solid year but we know what happened with Clemson last year so it was kind of like all right but we were both still really excited by his by his talent and it seemed like this was not a player that was necessarily getting a lot of love and had a lot of hype this summer want to see what that actually looks like on the field how about 64 yards in a touchdown in his NFL debut looks like the kind of player that they can that they can you know really up use as a factor in this passing game for the entirety of

48:54this season yeah the commanders wide receiver room all of a sudden looks like kind of interesting because I remember before the season there's a lot of question marks it's like it's trailing Berks going to be starting in like two wide receiver sets for this team because it was like tear mcloorin and you know that Antonio Williams had some hype but it was like still a bunch of question marks and he only played on 12 passing snaps and churned out like he's at four receptions could have had two touchdowns got tackled down at the one on one of those and then had a pivotal touchdown where he you know ran that little flat route and then rolled in but yeah it was a really nice performance to see him play a little bit in the slot a little bit out wide I mean doing a little bit of everything that you kind of expect to see Antonio Williams do but it's nice to see it you know actually on the field and I wonder because it's it's hard when you have

49:59tear mcloorin and Stefan digs to find a role for Antonio Williams because he kind of occupies he overlaps in the venn diagram a lot with both of those players and so it's good to see that they found a role for him and I would like to see it expand a little bit I think the digs signing in particular was really interesting because that to me kind of signal that maybe he wasn't ready to have a year one role for this team and they just wanted some veteran insurance in there but what we saw was I mean he he was more productive than digs in this game I feel like that's maybe something that we can just expect moving forward as well like he looked really good in this game he looked like it wasn't just he's getting some targets and doing stuff with it like he was he was running really nice routes and I think this is a player that we can maybe expect to just keep this momentum going and looking at KTC before the big correction happens which it certainly

51:05will and don't get me wrong I know that KTC is a very flawed tool but I mean we're talking about the 19th ranked rookie behind some guys Malachi fields micro Washington I mean yeah like it was you know these are guys like honestly I was really impressed kind of across the board just with how many rookies had like roles in their offenses for how bad I thought this class was but for a guy like Williams who had opportunity talent and draft capital kind of all backing him up it felt like he should have been maybe a little higher on this list and I think after this week he's going to climb this the rookie ladder and probably get higher than White receiver 60 which is where he was or where he is right now I will say stuff digs did have 55 yards in the touchdown yeah I'm not saying I'm not saying that it was a bad week for digs but I'm saying

52:06I'm not not to be a fun digs defender I'm not trying to like well I know that you are so I just wanted to put out there you that you're like yeah he's a born product in the day so I was like yeah they kind of did the same production I mean nine more yards come on how about your guy Kale I gotta talk about Caleb Douglas I got to because he's the White receiver one on this dolphins offense question marks all around what exactly this dolphins room is going to shake up as they take Caleb Douglas in the third round and it's like what are they doing you know there there was I don't think anybody was sitting here saying that was a good call you talk about forgotten names in the class Williams was a good name that was forgotten Douglas was just a name that nobody cared about ever including after he got drafted yeah it was genuinely like okay anyway you know like they took Caleb Douglas and everybody's like that was too high

53:10and then just moved on and he's been the White receiver one for them throughout the entirety of camp walked in and basically like they said yeah we've seen enough he played one series I think in the preseason and then came out and had the highest receiving total of any White receiver since Pukinakua like he had five catches on seven targets for 94 yards and good for like a solid fantasy day obviously you want to see him find the end zone but like you'll take this out of any of your guys and so I don't know what this means long term but the fact that they like are ready to have him played 91% of the snaps and he turned it into almost three yards per row run and he's got like 16 a dot so they're not like all of this turns into hey this is like it seems pretty real

54:11so this is a dynasty show and I like to gather around the campfire not only to talk about guys but talk about what do these guys mean right now and it's really easy to just come here and be like Caleb Douglas is a sell high because nobody liked him before the draft and it feels like it's not a real thing every now and then these guys are real things and it's it shouldn't just be the default setting to say sell any player that wasn't you know lauded in the draft process if he's productive this is an instance where I'm going to say it's a sell high because this dolphins offense is a real scary thing right now when you're talking about your third round rookie receiver being wider seaver one that's a scary place to live so I'm not saying Caleb Douglas isn't a good NFL player

55:15but I also think that to expect him to be a wider seaver one for the rest of his career and to put up 94 yards you know throughout the season and then keep doing that you know next year and beyond it's a tough sell to me I think it's very likely that in an elite wider seaver class like 2027 that the dolphins will add despite adding three in the draft last year that they'll add one pretty high in the draft next year and so it's fair and they're going to be really bad and like they could just be in the Jeremiah's it literally could be Jeremiah's so in that situation if you're like mid season and Caleb Douglas has been the wider seaver one on this team and he has like after what 10 games and he's sitting you know in a good spot and you're like hey I can get off on this guy someone's just going to see rookie with 700 yards or whatever and we're like feeling

56:17pretty good about this player hey the dolphins are oh and 10 like let's let's let's get off Caleb Douglas because I think that Jeremiah Smith could be in the dolphins future yeah and it's one of those things where you talk about buys and sells and sometimes it's really stupid because it's like you know if you're calling them a sell there has to be a buyer like somebody has to want to pay a price for this player why I think that that market maybe exists with a player like Douglas is that there's been a lot of hype so you have this kind of hype generation machine backing him up where if somebody's searching the name they're going to see a lot of positivity about Caleb Douglas that's going to matter then you also have the sense of well what if he is actually a real player though and I can get him right now at this like second round pick price so I do think there's a legitimate like

57:19match there where if you have Caleb Douglas you could get somebody to trade you a 27 second for him and in that case I would absolutely accept that knowing that yeah there's a chance that he's a real player and I just sold him early but also there's a much more real chance that I just got a 27 second for a player that ends up being a wider super two capped player and I might have just gotten like read Harris with that pick right so you know it's one of those things and I don't want to I don't want to oversimplify and just say he's a sell because we all you know but like this feels like you've really got him in the third or fourth round of your dynasty draft and now it's like well can I get with like how do I turn this in a third round 2026 pick into a second round 2027 and it's like well this is if this is the easiest way to do that then maybe that's it you know

58:20anybody else you want to shout out this week um I mean I don't know how how far back into the the past we want to go um because I think of out of the out of the rookie class that's I mean Denzel Bossin had a nice touchdown catch that was notable because you know that Brown's team is abysmal and you know as long as the Sean Watson is quarterbacking that team you can't expect anybody to do anything good but he had some really good underlying numbers with the amount of routes that he ran four targets two catches probably the only deep pass that offenses their own in the Sean Watson's tenure maybe like it uh but Kenyans to the cat a nice little touchdown run he was interesting how they utilized him um but somebody I did want to shout out was Emmett Johnson

59:20because I think there's a lot of questions on this running back class behind uh Jeremiah Love and a Jadarian price and I think Emmett Johnson with the limited touches he had because Ken Walker scorch earth Monday night um Emmett Johnson looked really good especially as a receiver and I think there was like some questions about his like actual bag I would say like the what what does he do with in like in a phone booth when he's got to make somebody miss I know he has a long speed I know he can cut up field but what can he do to in a one-on-one situation and I think that he looked pretty good making guys miss uh had a nice little screen pass where he was like slipping out of tackles spin move there's a couple things and I thought there was a really encouraging start for Amich Johnson not just as like some random handcuff but like hey there might be some interesting here

1:00:21one of my favorite experiences is and this is gonna sound really stupid it's watching guys from college to the NFL and seeing them do the same things they did in college in the NFL right which it's like no shit like who did they change because they got drafted I didn't always say I told you mean though but it's a very fun experience to be like this is the Emmett Johnson that I was watching at Nebraska and he's he looks the exact same except he's now in a chiefs uniform and it's against the Broncos and it's just a very cool thing and so he looked like Emmett Johnson in this game the good and the bad I would say yeah but the good was definitely on display and that's what I was concerned about was like when the game was bigger faster you know all of that stuff would would he be able to keep up and what we saw was like he

1:01:24looked like he belonged on the field and specifically as a pass catching back which is where I thought he added the most value and sorry the Lily is fired up Lily feels the exact same about this but I thought he his biggest pro as a as a player was he could be a pass catching running back with with you know obviously some ability to mix it up as a running as a runner as well yeah and like he I thought he looked really good in that kind of role in this offense and Ken Walker obviously looked unbelievably good yeah but a player that has not always had a clean bill of health so all the sudden isn't really a pass catcher right yes exactly so good pairing with Emmett Johnson it is and so this is a player that I kind of talked myself out of through the draft process did not really see much value to him especially with the landing spot and being behind a player

1:02:24like Ken Walker but we know handcuffs are valuable and especially for players like that who have shown a history of injuries and now we know Emmett Johnson probably going to be in the NFL for a little while that's right you got any anybody else you want to shout out no we can call it there that's good for for week one plenty more opportunities to to talk about these guys as they show up and also just like the dynasty implications of some of this I mean there's guys you know we focus on the good on all grown up but there's always another side of that as guys start losing value rapidly which for some reason happens every year with rookies and it's a great time if you want to start doing a little shopping some bargain bin shopping maybe but so we'll highlight some of those opportunities as well but yeah just really glad to be back it feels great it does feel great to see these guys playing in the NFL if you enjoyed our discussion about week two of college
