They did this deep dive into LG smart televisions. And what they found was pretty interesting. They used Wireshark to look at the information that these TVs send, store, send back and forth, and found that it actually collects a lot more data than people might be comfortable with. And they also sent it to the LG OLED models. And this from a site called NotebookCheck.net. Gamers Nexus tested retail LG OLED models, including the G5. Network packet captures taken through Wireshark showed the TVs actually scanning the local area network for unrelated hardware, including phones and smartwatches,
