Come on, we just lift up our hands to heaven this morning.
Thank you, Lord.
Holy Spirit just come and just touch every heart here this morning, Lord.
Father, we just thank you, Lord, because you're so good and Father, we thank you for your
word.
Father, your word is so powerful, Lord, Father God, Lord, it's so powerful that it will
penetrate the sharper than two edges, Lord, Father God.
We thank you, Lord, that your word helps us, it leads us in God's essence, so Father,
we pray for your word that every ear and every heart will be open this morning, Lord,
Father to receive your word with meekness, Lord, Father God, implanted in the heart
or today in Jesus' mighty name, amen.
Amen.
So God is so awesome and it's so good to be, I mean, how many people here, it's your first
time here at church this morning at Excite Church?
Yeah, a couple of people here, choice, let's give them a round of applause, I think we've
already done that.
But I mean, just to help you out, you know, if you agree with something that I'm preaching
about this morning, you can say, amen, let's give it a go, say amen.
And something happens when you agree with it, you're like connecting your faith with my
faith this morning, amen.
All right, yeah, you guys got it already, awesome.
So don't just sit there and just like, oh, yeah, that's pretty cool, although it's pretty
cool because it's God's word, it's God's word, and so, you know, we've been going through
the series, The Bless Life, say The Bless Life, I mean, some of you's like maybe hashtag
like a caption, something like that, I think you have on Instagram or whatever, The
Bless Life, or The Bless Life.
And sometimes that's not exactly what God's talking about, when we're talking about
The Bless Life, sometimes it's opposite to the way we're thinking or opposite to the
way we've been taught, The Bless Life, and it's not wrong to have all the nice things
and think we've got The Bless Life because when we read Matthew, chapter 5, we begin to
see that Paul, he, the book of Matthew Jesus, he begins to determine on the Mount with
the Beatitudes, they beatitudes, and the Beatitudes are really the attitude we ought to be in.
That's what he's saying, and he begins to introduce a sermon with the Beatitudes, he opens
up his message with blessed other people who mourn, and I know mourn, who are poor and
spirit, for they shall, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
He opens up his introduction to his message on the sermon of the Mount, he talks about
The Bless Life, say, Bless Life, see we're all blessed, the Bible says, we're blessed with
every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places which is in Christ Jesus, amen, we're blessed,
they are blessed, they are blessed, and so the Beatitudes are like principles which are
the character of the kingdom of heaven, their principles with promise, all their keys
that unlock some stuff that you already have the blessing of God, you've got the blessing
because you're already blessed, because you said I'm blessed, you said it, you said that
you're blessed, but sometimes you just need that key to unlock something that God's got
hidden for you, and so there's a principle with promise, amen, amen, amen, I was waiting
for that, come on, there's like principle with promise, it's a key, I think I've got
a key here, there's a key that can start my vehicle, but it can't open up my house door,
but it all belongs to me, but I've got to have the right key to unlock it, and so over the
next couple of months or over the last couple of weeks too, we'll be talking about The
Blessed Life, blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted, blessed are those
who are poor and spirit, and he begins to start, he begins to, his sermon on the mount
with The Blessed Life, and we're going to continue with that this morning, The Blessed Life,
so I'm blessed, so I'm blessed, see the Beatitudes are a position of the heart, really, so I
position, it's like where am I, the Spirit of God, where am I at here, and so the blessed
life this morning we're talking about, Matthew chapter 5, 5, blessed are the meek for they shall
inherit the earth, let me say it again, blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth,
it's like I'm positioned to inherit, my position is meekness, and I'm going to inherit something,
because I'm going to possess something, yeah, there's something that belongs to me and I own,
but there's, it's meekness and God wants us to be in that position of meekness, and so
The Blessed Life, and Jesus is saying, you know, we don't have to fight, we don't have to fight
for the inheritance that we have, but we just got to be in the right position to
about it, unlock the very things that God wants to give to us, so He's already got for us,
they belong to us, because it's in the inheritance, it's already ours, we don't have to grab it,
we don't have to take it, it's ours, but there's a principle in these keys that help unlock those
things, what does it even mean meek, I don't need to be honest, I don't need to really know,
who walks around and say man, I'm feeling meek today, like I've never said that, I've never heard
anything, how you doing bro, I'm meek, it's like have you ever heard anyone say that, like
hey man, I'm feeling really meek today, like we should just start a trend, what do you reckon,
see the car, I reckon you could start it then, we should start a trend, I'm feeling meek today,
you know just go and put a blast in all on your socials, I'm feeling meek today, and see if
it catches, hey should we try it, who's in with me, no one, no one even, no one even wants to try it,
because no one even really knows what meek means, I mean I asked a few people here at church today,
and some people are a market see in its week, or something, and he goes no, no, no, no, I've been a
check the dictionary, so check the dictionary and it talked about Gentile and a couple other
little things, and I talked to a couple other people, and most people here really didn't know what
meek meant, because it's something we never talk about, it's kind of like we don't, do we really
even know what it even means, I mean some of you that went to school probably do,
how many, not many, so I asked a few some said weak, some said humble, some said gentle, heaps just
didn't know, a whole bunch of people just like, wow don't really know what even that means,
I asked Charlotte and she just went, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, she was about the
only person that knew what it meant, she's the only one that probably seeks God around you,
she's not even any, and so so Marcus went to the dictionary, yes he did,
and it says mild gentle and soft, but you know meek in the Bible, actually this is what it means,
and I've got a little blue Bible, if you don't have it you can get it, it's got the blue Bible,
and you can sort of look at it and it sort of gives you the greek and the sort of commentaries
on stuff like that, and so I opened up the blue Bible, and this is what it says in the blue Bible,
because it's the Bible definition that we're really looking for, yeah, and then in the Bible
meekness is defined as strength under control, possessing power or passion, yeah,
but choosing to use it with humility and discipline, yeah, choosing to use it with humility,
so meekness is not really weakness is it, if you have you heard that saying,
but it's under control by the Spirit, because Galatians chapter 523 says that gentleness
is the fruit of the Spirit, so it's under control by the Spirit, it was a word used to describe
a powerful warhorse, not just any horse, but a powerful say powerful warhorse that was willing
to go into the thick of battle when urged by its rider, you know I mean I don't know if you
don't probably battle with horses anymore, so if I had a little bit more time I probably would have
died, I've done to it a little bit more, and trying to study like what was it all about, what was
a warhorse all about, but I could imagine that in the battle of war there would be killing,
there would be fighting, there would be shooting, there would be a whole bunch of chaos going on,
and here is a horse who has the strength to go when he needs to go, but he'll only go
when he's urged by his rider, and he's kind of like that meekness, that word meek, that's that
definition that is used in our Bible, but in the original text that was used for a word was used
that a horse, a powerful horse, a powerful warhorse, it says, I've got to read here,
there was willing to go into the thick of battle when urged by its rider, so it had controlled,
it had strength under control, and we've got strength and we can have under control by the
spirit of God who leads us because he's our Lord, and so meekness is really like being gentle,
which is a fruit of the spirit, and so we need to be led by the spirit. If you are weak,
you can't be meek. Yeah, meek doesn't mean weak, if you think meek means weak,
try being meek for a week, I read that, I thought that was cool, not from Dr. Zuziza, either, either,
see Moses, the Bible says that he was above numbers chapter 12 verse 13, if we can get that up,
Moses, the Bible says, he says, now the man, Moses was very meek, so he wasn't just meek,
but he was very meek, tenor, above all men, which were upon the face of the earth, so Moses,
he was meek, above all men, which were upon the face of the earth, Moses was a servant of God,
and he spoke with God face to face, he saw the form of God, he's Moses, he's a meek man,
he's a meek man, so he's not a meek man, because if you know about Moses, he did some pretty fantastic
stuff, didn't he? Like pretty amazing, and I mean you need a bit of strength to be able to do,
I mean he had the biggest church ever, I don't think anybody led as many people as Moses led,
I mean I don't think so, maybe there could have been somebody that has, but Moses,
Moses, probably one of the greatest leaders, probably had the biggest church, I mean he was the
guy who was responsible for taking the children of Israel out of Egypt across the Red Sea on dry land,
and into the wilderness he was heading for the Promised Land, he went up to the monger and he got
the tablet, he got the download from God, I mean Moses the Bible says that he was meek,
but he doesn't look weak, does he, so meekness isn't weakness, because Moses to be able to do what
he did, he couldn't be weak, but he was very meek the Bible says, and so if you think that meekness
is weakness you try and be meek for a week, and come back and tell me how was, and so Moses we
see that he was a man who was, he was very meek but he had strength because he trusted and he served
any obeyed God, see Moses was so meek actually in this passage of scripture, because Miriam and
Aaron were like kind of like moating about Moses, yeah you know that story they started grumbling,
don't be a grumbler, don't be a mumbler here, because I tell you what it doesn't work out good for you,
and so Miriam and Aaron were like grumbling and moaning about Moses going this,
is Moses the only one that hears from God, we've got a message to God hears that in the midst of it,
cause a bit of a hooey, and then when he leaves Miriam is got islepris, and then Aaron cries out
to Moses and then Moses because he's meek, he's not weak but he's meek, he begins to pray,
and the Bible says the numbers that he cries out to the Lord, and he prays for Miriam,
that should be healed, that she wouldn't have that honor, yeah, here's a woman,
here's her brother and sister who are talking about him, they're talking they're backstabbing him,
has anybody ever backstabbed you? How did it feel? Did you want to pray for them?
Who was getting quiet in here? Come on, come to the altar, we're going to pray for you guys,
this morning. I mean, if you found out that somebody's talking about you, most of the times,
you want to pay back, hey, is that right? You know, you get that energy because somebody said
something about you or somebody's done something, but here's Moses, who's meek, he's not weak,
he's meek, actually, he's very meek. So, you know, you might be meek, but try and be very meek,
a very meek person would get on their knees and pray for somebody who had something against them.
You see where I'm going this morning church, that meekness isn't weakness,
and I mean, you know, just like this topic alone for myself this week has been like far out,
this is a hearty topic, because I don't even really know what meek is really. So, I actually had
to read my Bible and a dictionary and get a little bit of help from Marcus, let's give Marcus a hand this
morning. But you see where you see where we're going this morning church, meekness isn't weakness.
Moses wasn't weak, but he was meek, I mean, he was positioned to inherit.
He was positioned to inherit something and God called him, but old Moses, hey, remember old
Moses? He wanted to avenge people. You remember old Moses, remember? You know, what did it
what did Moses do? He murdered somebody, that's old Moses. He wasn't very meek back then. Yeah,
and so the old Moses, he seemed something happened to his people and he went out and he avenged,
he thought he was doing God's work by taking out somebody, but he shouldn't have done that.
So, the old Moses, the old Moses was opposite of a country to meekness, he was out to get his
revenge, I suppose. So, he wasn't meek, he didn't have strength under control. He didn't possess power
or passion, but he was against who he had revenge, and that's the old Moses, the new Moses who
has an encounter with God through the burning bush. Remember that? Moses has this encounter with
God and the burning bushes on fire and he encounters God, and that's what we've got to do churches,
we've got to encounter God, because the old me, the old me, if somebody gossips about me,
you know, you want payback, that's how Moses was. He wanted to, that's old Moses, but new Moses,
he has an encounter, and when you encounter God, I'll tell you what everything changes,
the opposite of meekness is really revenge. Do whatever it takes to get my own way,
push people out of the way to get what I want. It's all about me, myself, and...
Come on, come on, come on, stupid better than that. It's all about me, myself, man.
All right, I kept them. You're full of pride, you've got lots of ego.
It's all about me, myself, and I, it's the way, it's my way, or the...
I use no that one. Somebody say, amen. Somebody say, Hallelujah.
It's my way or the highway. They find it hard to forgive others.
That's the opposite of meekness. That's the old me. That's the old you. That's the old Moses.
Yeah? That's the old us. James, check the 4-1 to 6-6. Where do wars and fights come from among you?
Do they not come from your desires for pressure that war on your members?
You last and you do not have your murder and cover it and cannot obtain your fight and war.
You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and you do not receive because you ask a miss
that you may spend it on your own pleasures. On yourself, yeah? Adultures and adulteresses,
do you not know their friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be
a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James is hardcore, eh?
Like, when he writes stuff, it's like, ah, he just messes you in the face. Or do you think that
the scripture says in vain, the spirit who dwells in us urns jealous, but he gives more grace
therefore he says, God, resist the proud, but he gives grace to the humble. And so humility
is the key. And God gives grace, yeah? God gives grace to those who are humble, which is
a related to the word meekness. But wars start because people are thinking about themselves.
Fighting and far know happens because one side wants more than the other side or whatever it is.
And it's really because we're looking for our out for our own interests and our own pleasures.
See, Jesus, he talks about that. He's gentle. Matthew, chapter 11, 28 to 30. And he says this,
come to me, all you who labor and heavy laden and I will give you what?
Where to come to Jesus? He says, take my yoke upon you and learn from me.
For I am gentle or meek, which is the same word, comes from the same root. I am gentle and
lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke, this is Jesus. My yoke
is easy and my burden is light. So we're yoke to some stuff. Yeah, we can be yoke to the old me.
We can be yoke to the old upbringing. We can be yoke to like our experiences in life
have caused us to be yoke and it's taught us something. That's what what they used to do is in the old
yoke. The old yoke, the old bull would get alongside the young bull and they're yoke the young
bull to the old bull. And the young bull would always try to pull away. But he can't because he's
yoke to the old bull. And some of us where we yoke to the old stuff and Jesus is saying come to
me and learn from me and take my yoke. Jump up, take off that yoke because a yoke is kind of like
it comes like a strong somebody does something and you're yoke to it and you're always pulling
in a certain direction when somebody does something to you. It's hard to be meek. But Jesus says,
I'm gentle. I'm meek. And if you want to be meek, come and learn from me.
I'm preaching better than you guys are saying amen this morning. Come on.
I mean, this is a hard message to preach right here. I can tell you that. I mean I can preach
about winning souls. I can preach about a whole bunch of other stuff. But this is a hard message
to preach. And some of us we yoke to some stuff, we yoke to some understanding or we yoke to teaching
or we yoke because we've inherited something else. We've inherited like if somebody hits you,
you hit them back. Amen. I don't know what you're talking about, Tanera.
Now we shouldn't do that at all. But some of us, I mean, that's just one example. There could be
so many other different examples. Somebody talks about you, you're going to talk about them,
are you going to get payback? Because we yoke to that because that's what we've been taught.
We've been taught these things over the years and we like we haven't been taught how to be meek.
We don't even know what meek means. We do now. It's not weakness because if you think it's
weak, try being meek for a, oh you guys are getting it this morning. You're positioned to
inherit when you're meek. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me. Isn't that awesome Jesus, eh?
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me if I am gentle and lowly and heart and you will find
rest for your souls. Sometimes we're just striving. Yeah, who knows what that's like?
Come on, only a couple of honest people here this morning. Come on, come on.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is like, think about my efforts. All my efforts say without
God is actually just nothing. It's futile really. I might look like that I've got the bliss life
or the best life on social media and on Instagram or whatever it is around my friends and around
my family but sometimes people that are like that are actually really lonely and they're empty.
And we need to take that yoke off. Yeah, we need to surrender to God and we need to grab
his yoke and we need to learn from him because in that way we're positioned to inherit something
because in inheritance is not grabbed, it's given. It's there for us but like I said in the
beginning, it's a principle with a promise. It's like a key that will unlock something in your life.
My van key kind of locked my door key, although we hardly ever look at our house.
Which is really bad. Well, we got two really big dogs.
If they've got meat, it's given, it's not grabbed because it actually belongs to you
because it's the character of the kingdom of heaven. It's a principle that comes from a relationship
father and son, father and child. Our heavenly father has got it for us every spiritual
blessing is there but we just got a position ourselves to inherit it because it's ours and we can
we don't have to grab it, we don't have to take it, we don't have to force our way or push people
out of the way to grab it, get it but we actually we inherit it because we're meek and so that's
an inheritance that we have. It's yours, say it's mine and the Bible says that the meek shall inherit
the earth. Why the earth? I mean, I tell you why because it's something that's like there, it's solid,
it's stability, it's a place to live right here right now but also it's God's blessing and it's
God's favor and it's the kingdom inside of you working here on earth. That's what he's talking
about but ultimately there's the future where now we're we're living in eternity with God or mighty
and that's what the blessing of God has. We inherit that because it's ours, we have the kingdom of
heaven but also on this earth, God gives us stuff, He gives us provision, He provides for us, He gives
us land, if you've got land you might have a house. Most of us here live in a house, yeah or something
like that, yeah? And so He gives us stuff and the Bible says the meek shall inherit the earth.
It's your life under God's rule because now you're under control by His Spirit.
He rules because the He is the Spirit of the Lord which lives inside of you and He's your master
and so you begin to follow Him and so we can either inherit the earth but there's some other
sub we can inherit as well which is in Proverbs 1129 it says He who troubles His own house will inherit
the wind. I'd rather inherit the earth because there's stability there if you inherit the wind you're
going to get tossed all over the place. Who wants to inherit the wind? If you want to inherit the
wind continue to trouble your house but if you want to inherit the earth be somebody that's meek
and so what do you want to inherit? Let's look at Psalm 37 I've got a lot of scriptures this morning
yeah because I had to go to the scripture because I don't really know too much about
what I do now so I'm actually blessed that I got asked to share about meekness because I learned
a whole bunch of stuff. I'm learning with you this morning final. Oh some ay Psalm 37
do not fret because of evil doers nor be envious of the workers of inequity.
Freding will just drain your strength and pulls your strength away man. Well they shall soon be cut
down like the grass and withers as the green herb. Verse 3 trust they trust trust in the Lord
isn't that awesome trust in the Lord and do good so don't just trust in God and they start doing
bad stuff but trust in God and do good dwell in the land and feed on his faithfulness that's
why we really believe being planted in the house of the Lord when you're planted in the house of
the Lord the Bible says that you will flourish amen and so when you dwell in the place and you feed on
his faithfulness you used to be planted in the disco but now you're planted in the house of the
Lord amen he says dwell in the land and feed on his faithfulness delight say delight delight yourself
yes I'm good stuff in here hey delight yourself also in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of
your heart wow there's a principle with promise hey delight yourself in the Lord
oh man this day is just sad is that delighting yourself in the Lord or is this praise God for a new day
amen joy comes in the morning amen morning might last for the night yeah but today's a new day
I'm going to delight myself in the Lord the Bible says delight yourself also in the Lord and he
shall give you the desires of your heart commit your way to the Lord commit trust here goes the
word trust again also in him and he shall bring it to pass he shall bring forth your righteousness as
the light and your justice as a new day rest here we see that we're resting remember Jesus said
that I am gentle and lowly he talks about coming to me and I'll give you rest rest how do we rest
we rest in the Lord rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him patiently patiently patiently
patiently patiently oh I've been waiting for 10 years oh I'll keep on waiting okay well whatever it is
you're waiting for hallelujah wait patiently for the coming of the Lord with an expectation hallelujah
who I'm expecting the Lord to come back but at the moment I'm just waiting because he's still
saving people on this earth hallelujah where will he do not fret I says I'm going to rest in the
Lord and wait patiently for him do not fret because of him who prospers in his way looking at other
people hey thinking they've got the bliss life hey oh they've got the bliss life look at them hey
is it don't fret because of him who prospers in his way don't don't look at him who's pushed
his way to the top you know there's a whole lot of stuff out there now like man you just got to
make yourself better than everybody else hey no just not just maybe do not fret because of him who
prospers in his way because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass cease from anger and forsake
wrath do not fret he got the word fret again it only causes harm because fret fretting for what other
people have got because you might think they've got the bliss life they actually draws all the
strength out of you it takes from you it stills from you because it causes you to be angry yeah when
you're angry are you happy when you're angry does anyone want to be around you no hey because that's
what it causes us to do become angry and fretting and all that stuff there it only causes harm for
verse 9 evil doers shall be cut off but those who wait on the Lord they shall inherit the earth did
you hear that those who wait on the Lord they shall hear we see that we're didn't hear it the earth
again so waiting and meekness and all the stuff in here so connected for they shall inherit the earth
for yet a little while in the wicked shall be no more indeed you will look carefully for his place
but it shall be no more but the meek say but the meek not the meek the meek but the meek shall
inherit the earth here we see it again so maybe Jesus was pointing back to this place
the meek here we see the word meek again Psalm 37 powerful powerful Psalm
live it get a hold of it receive it with meekness because it's able to save your soul see meekness
is actually connected with your salvation I mean I know because I even I just learnt that
it is a don't do no right hey come on this is a hard message to preach
yeah well for me you know this but the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight
themselves in the abundance say abundance they should delight themselves in the abundance of peace
oh man here man isn't it awesome when you can lie down and lighten the peace of God's
on your life isn't that just awesome no matter what's going on but you got the peace of God
and here we see that you're in here at the earth and the peace of God come on don't fret
it drains your strength trust God do good dwell in in the house of the Lord feed on his faithfulness
commit your way to the Lord rest in him wait for him with patience all these beautiful things that
are in the Bible their principles would promise their keys that will unlock stuff in your life
and God wants to see genuine change so if the meek and here at the earth if the promise belongs to
those who are meek how do we actually step into that and I really believe if we can go back to that
Matthew chapter 11 verse 28 just looking at the time
of choice come to me or you who laben heavy laden I'm probably just going to close up on this and maybe
Cindy if you could play the keys that'll be awesome I think there's a real anointing on that song
holy spirit and we're going to go somewhere else but I think there was a real powerful anointing
on that song this morning and there was a little bit of a prophecy this morning and as we're
praying about healing the nation and healing God's people and so their prophetic word they come
out in the prayer meeting I really believe it's for us today because God actually wants to like
he doesn't actually some of us are carrying some stuff that we don't have to carry
and he says come to me this is what God says come to me yeah you'll be carrying some
stuff is just he come to me or you who labor and heavy laden and I will give you rest who gives
you rest Jesus and there's healing for the nation there's healing for the people of God in this
place this morning but there's also God wants to set us free from things that we may be yoked to
or tied to or stuff that we've learned to a thought we've this is the way we've got to live because
I've got to go and get it I've got to go and take it I've got to go and grab it but it's actually
hours it's yours you don't have to do that God's just calling us to be somebody that's gentle and
lonely who is meek and humble who is patient who trust God who surrendered to the King of Kings
and the Lord of Lords and we need to be yoked towards we need to be yoked to that and some of it's
just in our thinking that our old way of thinking is like we're tied up because we've been taught
some stuff over the years or maybe because somebody's just hurt you that's a big one right there
hey and maybe you're just blaming even blaming God because of that hurt
or you've got the questions why God
and when we look at that scripture in Matthew 28 verse 11 verse 28 says come to me or you
labor and heavy laden and I will give you rest verse 29 says this take my yoke
why don't you just grab it this morning it's lift up your hands it's grabbing come on grab it
maybe you've been striving maybe you've been struggling God it's just take that yoke man I need it
take my yoke upon you learn from me
oh how do I become meek
Jesus is like here take my yoke come beside what's he saying come beside me it's like this come
here come here come here say come beside me man be yoked to me cling to me it's what he's saying
that's what he's saying cling to me because man we like when I'm going to go this way you're
going to come with me you wanted to go that way to the pub or to the fight or to the argument
yeah you wanted to do that but now if you want to learn from me you come and get yoke to me
coming get close to me because there's an inheritance for you yeah there's an inheritance for you
that I got for you because your position to inherit where you place yourself you're going to
possess the very things that God's got for you oh man I'm learning this morning church how about you
had my grandson over last night and just keep this up all night far out
Harleluya meekness
breathing pouring over that
this can we go back to this 29
take my yoke upon you and learn from me
Jesus actually answers it himself if you want to learn how to be meek come close to me
and be yoked to me, be connected to me because an inheritance comes through relationship.
And as we're connected to God, there's an inheritance that God has got for us.
Take my, take as I am gentle and humble and hard. That's who our King is, Jesus. He's not weak.
Jesus ain't weak. He went to the cross all the way. He was all in.
Because we're sinners, what we wear, but we're saved by grace.
But he died on the cross where our sin was because of the joy that was set before him.
The Bible says that he endured the cross. He's not weak, but he's weak.
He says it himself for him, gentle and lowly and hard. And you'll find rest for your souls.
That's Jesus.
First 30 says, take honor. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. He describes it to himself.
That's meekness, he's gentle. Jesus, the invitation to the blessed life
is actually an invitation to come under his way of living.
The blessed life is what we're learning about. We're coming under this way of living.
And maybe for some of us here this morning, are you carrying something that God never
asked you to carry? He didn't ask you to carry it.
He doesn't want you to be striving or forcing or doing it all on your own.
Everything on your own, you're just trying to do everything on your own.
But he actually wants you to learn from him and be yoke to him.
And he wants you to be free from that yoke and free from that way of thinking,
free from that way of living.
Jesus there come to me. You're tired, you're burdened, you all got all that stuff going on.
And we all get a little bit tired, but yeah, because there's stuff that's life that we live.
But we can just keep coming back to Jesus. Come on, you just come back to Jesus again and again.
Not be born again and again and again, but you come back to him again.
You're already born again, but you can keep coming back to God every day.
God, I just got to get yoke to you because man, I don't feel meek.
Come on, let's just start that trend on feeling meek.
