About this episode
The enormously popular, free, Sculpture by the Sea exhibition is back for 2023 and this year it turns 25. Once again, more than 100 artworks by Australian and international artists will stretch for two kilometres along the clifftops, parks and beaches between Bondi and Tamarama. Founder and Co-Curator David Handley joins Around Town to discuss how Sculpture by the Sea evolved from a 12 hour affair with a $400 marketing budget, to a sprawling three week festival that attracts 450,000 punters to Bondi Beach each year.
