258: The Cycle, PAX East and The Promise of Baldur's Gate 3

The Cycle is a new game from Yager, the creators of Dreadnought. This game is a multiplayer game in which you and up to 3 friends go and complete quests in this foreign planet. Meanwhile, other players are trying to beat you in the game as well. It's a PvPvE game that is bringing some cool, new ideas to the game. We also revisit Wheel of Fortune on the Switch...but it's not as good as we remember on the n64.

In the news, COVID-19 is starting to affect upcoming conventions. Companies have backed out of GDC eventually causing it to be postponed. Despite this, PAX East still happened and had some great news from Borderlands, Animal Crossing and more. Rockstar also recently updated their site making us believe they could be working on something new.

Our discussion is on the promise of Baldur's Gate 3. They revealed gameplay at a PAX Panel and it was quite the reveal! It's all the best of Divinity Original Sin 2 meets Dungeons and Dragons. We are really excited about what the future holds for this and can't wait for early access.
