Mark Vierthaler, Head Distiller for Whiskey Del Bac, joins Bourbon Lens to talk Single Malt.  Whiskey Del Bac is known for its mesquite style of American Single Malt, but they have so much to offer for any fan of American Whiskey who is looking to explore what the Southwest has to offer. Founded in 2011, Whiskey Del Bac has really hit a stride with their releases including Dorado, Classic, Frontera, and their Distiller's Cut American Single Malts.  We discuss each during this week's episode and found a well-balanced portfolio with something for everyone.

Hamilton Distillers was born of a novel concept by former furniture producer and woodworker Stephen Paul. Paul observed the Velvet Mesquite, native to his home in Arizona's Sonoran Desert, leftover from his woodworking and conceived to use this easily sourced, local wood to make a mesquited style of American Single Malt whiskey modeled after Scotch. In just over a decade, the team at Hamilton Distillers has captured the spirit and terroir of the region of Sonora, down to the name itself.
