#2908: Worshiping Artificial Intelligence

And you report describing a cult-like culture around Claude, including a funeral for one retired version of the AI. Our next guest says he's known the Anthropics CEO for years now and tells the New York Post some inside the company are, quote, treating AI as if it's a human in disguise. Some of the stories that are emerging are quite bizarre. What can you tell us that you've heard?

1:00They are and they have quite bizarre, and I think the public deserves to know that the AI's care is being driven by people who are honestly not completely in possession of their marbles. There's always been a lunatic fringe of AI. Let me read you a quote from quite a few years ago, but it's even worse now, in 1960, Dr. Samuel H. Miller, Dean of Harvard's Divinity School stated, quote, the modern era has abandoned religion as a basis of real life. I agree with that, and put its confidence in science instead, even though the word God is more popularly entranced in America than ever, Denver Post, June 4, 1960. Well, that's right. We talk about God more than we ever have before. I mean, this man is actually saying what the Apostle Paul said, that God is unknown to this world. They worship science in false education,

2:03and they have all kinds of idols as Athens had when Paul spoke to them. They have other God. The folks at Anthropic treat their AI clawed as if it's a human being, some of them even treated it as if it's a God and worship it. These people think the apocalypse is coming, and there's an AI, anti-Christ, that they have to stop. There's an AI God that is being born, and they are the parents of that God, and they are the ones who know what to do, that they're going to tell us everybody else what to do. And honestly, I'm much more worried about Anthropic than I'm worried about AI. This was apparently, these are some pictures of members of the staff attending a quote-unquote funeral for one version, as you just mentioned, of Claude III Sonnet in San Francisco. Isn't that great? Just like everything, COVID, or whatever it was,

3:04that was a religion, a faith. Armstrong used to talk about how that belief in evolution was a faith. You put your faith in all this fakery, and here the big debate this week over AI, right? Is the radical left weaponizing it? Well, of course, who wouldn't want to weaponize it if you're trying to gain total power? But then those on the other side that would just brush it aside, and what's the big deal? It's not going to hurt anybody. There's all these articles I have today from the New York Post, from the Atlantic, about how it's just destroying our minds, our education. That's serious. Leave politics out of it for a moment, and just think about the impact that this is having, the adverse impact it's having on our development. Joe Hilliker had a morning brief go out just today. AI has become the default shortcut in American high schools.

4:08Tech use is pervasive, and a whole lot of it is outside the rules, as he says in this morning brief, it's making us dumber. It's dumbing us down, as if we needed that. We're at an all-time low as it is. And yet we're going lower. You're listening to Stephen Flurry, and this is the Trumpet Day that we appreciate you joining us on today's show. On your own time, this from the New York Post, forget the Doomsday fears. AI Danger is already here, and it's DEI-Drenched Soul. That's right. If the people creating it have gone woke, then what would you expect for the content to be like? The content that AI just churns out on a daily basis. Doomsday scenarios from home-cooked bio weapons, well, it just goes through some of the debate of this past week, and then says later that AI is drenched in woke racism. Meet Anthropics Amanda Askell, head of company's personality alignment team in 2021.

6:16Askell, in effect, is in charge of developing and nurturing Claude's soul. Claude has a soul. They're having funerals for Claude or for some former version of Claude. These people, these radical religious zealots. Claude is the God. The way they see it. Askell co-authored the capacity for moral self-correction in large language models, the research explored AI's capacity to self-correct. That is to refuse to deliver outputs the authors regarded as harmful. Further down, it says, in other words, it's fine for AI to be racist against white people. That's reparations. This is what this woman thinks. She wrote this paper. She's one of the creators. The designers of this anthropic Claude,

7:19another anthropic paper Askell co-authored that year, declared that white and male are historically privileged groups and pondered under what circumstances and to what degree positive discrimination should be corrected for. Such DEI drenched views have since become embedded in AI systems and not just anthropics. Again, you can poo poo the Doomsday predictions like Jesse Waters did the other night, but is it good to carry this around in your back pocket? As I've said, of course, technology has its place. This is why, by the way, that you just need God's government. You need regulations not from the federal government, but from God's government, from God's law. It's incredible technology, but how will it end?

8:20How will it end? The Atlantic. They've had some pretty good pieces lately. I know it's a left-wing organization, but still, there's an article at the Atlantic, the other way AI impairs our thinking. Now, that's serious. Again, leave aside the Doomsday predictions. What about what it's doing to our thinking? If it impairs our thinking, is that good? Is that a good thing? Another one says, college is coming apart. That's at the Atlantic as well. Artificial intelligence arrived on campus as a crisis, but has since become banal. Students can now do basically all their school work automatically with AI, answering scientific problem sets, writing computer code, and drafting essays. Professors like me have no idea whether we are really teaching or just larping for students who are also pretending

9:24to occupy their role. Worse, some of us are offloading the drudgery of writing recommendation letters, grant proposals, and even scientific papers to AI, artificial intelligence. So everyone's taking the easy way. It says here at the same time that AI fouled up the student teacher relationship, the technology benefited other corners of campus. Researchers quickly discovered that AI is enormously useful for knowledge production, especially in the natural and applied sciences. Further down, these two forces, students using AI to their detriment and colleges using it to their benefit, might seem to be in conflict. Further down, he says, now AI has separated the two purposes of college almost entirely, writing an essay previously, required doing something resembling the assigned academic work.

10:27Because AI makes it possible to complete coursework without much or any intellectual labor, AI has disconnected the output from the process, suffering through a term paper no longer inherently affords opportunities to take a break to get a late night coffee with your fellow students to commiserate with hallmates over a difficult professor. It's changing college life dramatically. What's the title? College is coming apart. All these things that we talk about in principles of living even going back to, you know, the days of the closing of the American mind in the 1980s. And what Professor Bloom was warning about, just with respect to music and movies and people weren't reading like they used to. And the Bible was out the window. This is long before this information age

11:29that's been fueled by the internet, the iPhone, and then of course now artificial intelligence. It says here, becoming educated has little to do with becoming an adult apart from taking place on the same campus. I used to understand a university as a kin to a city, a city of the expansive, diverse, and necessarily host to multiple purposes. But now I wonder if even that generous account is a fantasy. I wonder if one organization can support all of these conflicting projects well. And if it ever did. That's from the Atlantic. This one from the Federalist. Maybe I can just skip ahead to the one we have on religion. But I think that's the one that's not the most valuable the gospel according to Claude. What do you think that's about? That's about fake religion.

12:29We talk a lot about fake religion. So isn't this perfect? It's about theologians or preachers that are preparing their sermons through Claude, artificial intelligence. That's amazing. And even the Pope. It's not often that we agree with what the Pope says, but even the Pope is saying, don't rely on artificial intelligence for your sermons. That's pretty amazing. That's how bad it is. The gospel according to Claude, my head was bowed in prayer when I heard something strange coming from the pulpit. A friend of mine was standing in front of our church's congregation of 200 people praying over the day's offerings. His words bore the marks of AI writing that made me wence. It's not X. It's Y.

13:30And a conspicuous preference for lists of three. After the service I confronted my friend. Immediately, he admitted the prayer had been written by AI. I just asked chat to write me a short, an offeratory prayer. He told me sheepishly. In my Presbyterian church, it's customary for congregants like my friend to stand at the pulpit and give the call to worship or the offeratory prayer. He was a nervous public speaker, he said, and AI writes well enough. This article says that 24% of pastors use AI in their sermon preparation. 24% that's 1 in 4. 1 in 4. Research is important. Outside reading and study, of course, you're going to build your message around the Bible. And what a wonderful text that is. As I've said previously, we're going through first and second Thessalonians. Just a wonderful study before the accolations.

14:33Versed by verse. Verses, studying each verse, expounding on each verse. And look at how many preachers are just relying on artificial intelligence to do the work for them. Do you think this is a sign of a really healthy, strong, stable society or just the opposite? We're all being dumbed down. The preachers, the pastors, the educators, the students, the parents. And this is not good. It says here, one Oakland pastor recently spent hours creating an AI avatar of himself, one that people could go to for spiritual guidance at all hours of the day. By his own admission, it answered queries exactly the way he would. And people seemed to like it.

15:33People are embracing the fakery. People are treating cloth like he's a person. People are grieving when there's an old version that's put to rest. It's a religion. It's a religion. Herbert Armstrong used to talk about whatever it is you put in place of God. It's an idol that has to be smashed. He said it could be, you know, a television. It could be the desire to, you know, to gain material wealth or to become a prominent individual. Whatever it is, he said, you have to crush it with God's help. Think about the first and great commandment putting God first above all else. It's a religion. Everyone's doing it.

16:33And of course, the more people that do it, the more tempting it's going to be for, you know, someone that's not relying on it that way to just go ahead and give in. Follow the crowd. Follow the multitude to do evil. The free press says here, AI writing is everywhere. It's become the go-to for marketing copy. The Wall Street Journal recently published an AI-generated opinion piece by billionaire investor Stan Lee, Druck and Miller, which its editorial page editor, defended on the grounds that AI is a fact of modern life and that the column reflected the author's genuine opinion. Earlier this year, a work of fiction widely suspected to be AI-generated, won the Commonwealth Short Story Prize, a prestigious literary award, and was published in Granta, the ethics of using machines to shape and articulate our ideas

17:34are understandably muddled. Like we've been hearing this week, there's no regulations. There's no rules. There are no standards. There's no right and wrong. And now you have the AI creators wanting the government, the radical leftist government, to get involved so that they have immunity, so that they can do whatever they want. And never ever ever be punished. That's what criminals love. Look at the Thomas Crook's affair, by the way. All these stories this week about, you know, the rush to get him cremated and it was anonymous donor and the cover-up by Chris Ray and then you get the angry tweet from President Trump. But nothing happens. Two years on. And we're just now getting to the truth, not even all of it, but just some bits of the truth on Thomas Crook's.

18:34He disappeared faster than the Las Vegas shooter. If it's a left-wing radical murderer, well, let's just scrub it from the history books. Scrub it from the news cycle. Here we are, ironically, in the days of AI when you can get to just about anything, except for the truth about a radical left-wing murderer. That gets blotted out. That's taken care of. Is it okay to outsource the work of ministry to a machine? Pope Leo, for one, has drawn a line in February, he urged Catholic priests to resist the temptation to prepare homilies with artificial intelligence. So there you go. This other story I skipped over. 60% of Democrats support the DSA,

19:34the Federalist Peace here is titled, there is no such thing as a moderate Democrat anymore. So these woke Democrats, you think they want to get control of AI? Of course they do. It mirrors their worldview. 60% of Democrats support the DSA. The poll conducted between September 3rd and 6th. Well, further on it says the DSA released a new platform in June that explicitly called for drafting a new constitution and creating a Democratic Socialist Republic. The organization also called for the abolishing of the Electoral College. You know, just your normal mainstream things to do. And more and more Democrats, they love it. Absolutely love it. So much fakery, so much extremism, so much radicalism, the gospel according to Claude.

20:38There's another story here on Gaza, the malignancy of the left. It's from Melanie Phillips. And she's talking about this new documentary, I think I might just pull this aside and save it for next week, Monday or Tuesday. We've got a lot of our crew that's going to be out of pockets. So all of the leftovers that we've accumulated as our researchers have put together, one segment after another, and typically I can only get to about half of them. 24:45Iran is demonstrating that it has full capacity to hurt Saudi Arabia where it is most vulnerable. This will spur Saudi Arabia and other Gulf-Arab countries to look for new partners. F-35s are essentially computers with wings

Exporting nearly three dozen to Germany shows the US trusts its own precautions and the goodwill of German engineers to keep these vulnerabilities from being exploited against American operated F-35s. Prophecy warns that Germany will reward America's trust with a nuclear strike. Unless America trusts God more than its technologies, its precautions and its allies. Germany indicted seven suspected Hamas members on September 11th for planning attacks against Jews and Jewish centers in Berlin and Vienna on October 7th, 2025. The two-year anniversary of the Hamas massacre of more than 1200 people in Israel. The plan fell apart when three of the suspects were arrested while acquiring weapons on October 1st. The plot, which the indictment says high-ranking Hamas leaders ordered,

The attack would have marked a shift in the Palestinian terror organization's abilities from fundraising, propaganda, and logistical activity in Europe to launching attacks in Europe. According to Politico's reporting on the indictment, which is not public. The suspects obtained 13 pistols over 700 ammunition rounds and a fully automatic rifle for the attack. Weapons were supplied in part by an international weapons procurement network that moved them through multiple European countries Politico reported. A Hamas agent allegedly worked on coordinating part of the network from Lebanon. This planned attack will embolden Germany not only to step up its fight against radical Islam, but also to champion itself as a protector of Israel and the Jewish people. Next, on the key of David with Gerald Flurry. Notice in verse 11 of the Zikael 33, here's the solution. God will save us if we'll heed this and he'll protect us. And he will do that with a very elective if they, if the rest of them don't repent. Notice verse 11, saying to them, as I live, says the eternal God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live, turn you, turn you from your evil ways.

28:53For why would you die, O house of Israel? This is about the death of nations. And he's naming the nations. And we have a book on the United States and Britain and Prophecy that tells you which nations are listed here. And you need to be concerned about it. God says, turn you, turn you from your evil ways. But why would you die, O house of Israel? This is about the death of nations. And you need to be concerned. Believe me. We should be concerned. A powerful prophecy is my father brought out there that was just a little over a year ago on this very program. And he's going through Ezekiel 33, a very sobering prophecy as well. There are other prophecies by the way that talk about people wanting to hear smooth things. They tell the teachers, the prophets. Look, prophesied deceits. Just give us what we want.

29:55It does take some courage and some boldness to speak the truth, to, as the prophet Isaiah said, to cry aloud and spare not. Hello again, everyone, and welcome back to the key of David. We appreciate you joining us on today's show, Lots and Lots to Get To. The show we recorded for last weekend. It was a tribute to 9-11 and just all the history that has happened since 9-11, 25 years on. And what a speaking of sobering events. What a wake-up call that was. A real jolt. 9-11 back in 2001. And so many things were connected to it as I mentioned on the show last week. The last hour, my father announcing just a few months before 9-11 that we were entering into the last hour, prophetically. And then of course that attack, 2001. We were right in the midst of this lawsuit, six years of litigation fighting for the truth.

30:57Fighting to keep the truth alive. Most notably mystery of the ages. Six years of litigation. What a low point that was for the leotician Christians, the lukewarm Christians, who were out there fighting to suppress the works, the teachings of Herbert W. Armstrong. My father back at that time, this was a sermon that he gave. We were just a few months into the last hour. Again, go back and look at the show from last weekend. But he gave this sermon just a few days after the attack on 9-11, clip two. Tell your brother God is on a countdown. Jesus Christ is on a countdown. And all the only people on this earth that know it. Is this little group right here? There is nobody else. God is not blessing America and he never ever is going to again until they repent.

31:59And if they don't repent, they're going to die. And verse 18, if you will not yet, for all this, are going to to me. Then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. It's just going to keep intensifying. We've been telling them that for years. Mr. Armstrong has been telling them that for years and years and years. And the message just keeps going now for getting on close to seventy years. It just keeps going out there. There were quite a few people that contacted this church after those attacks on 9-11. Because it jolted them because they were familiar with what, as my father was saying there, with what Herbert Armstrong said for decades. And we continued on following in his steps. And people were concerned. They know what Herbert Armstrong said about being in the last days. They know what he taught in the United States and Britain in prophecy.

33:00They know who the Israelite nations are today. And they know. They know that we've forsaken God. But then, like with anything, 25, even though as I covered on the show last week, there still are all these other jolts throughout the past 25 years. But maybe nothing quite as sobering as 9-11. But look at how easy it is for us to just drift to sleep. To go and bury our heads in the sand. Look at how technology has changed in these past 25 years. We're really and truly in a push-button age. And everybody's just focused in on the gadget, it seems. Everybody's just focused in on the screen. And not digging into the Bible. And not studying God's Word. We're going to draw attention to this new book, The Father's Love.

35:00This is a pretty small organization, this church, the Philadelphia Church of God. I saw some figures the other day that were really shocking in a good way, just looking at how many people over the years that have contacted this church. And yet there's just a tiny handful that are actively engaged in doing God's work. So many have just come and gone. They've maybe subscribed to the trumpet magazine for a time. And then maybe they quit, or maybe they've got a few booklets that had some interest early on, and then lost interest. Maybe you're in that category. Are you running from God? Because you can run right back to God. You can turn around. And just know that if you do, God will receive you. Let's go through some of those verses in the parable, Luke 15. I'll just give you a quote here from this book,

36:00I love here again. We're offering this for the first time on television. My Father writes, if you have fallen away from God, know that God loves you and has not given up on you. He's longing for the day when you will come to yourself, repent, and make your way back to Him. He's watching the horizon for any sign of your return. Don't delay, humble yourself, and go to Him so you can be reunited. Once again, enjoy His blessing and favor. God wants you to return. If you've fallen away, He wants you to run back to Him, to His open arms. As it says in that passage in Ezekiel 33, you heard it. Why will you die? Turn! Just turn back to me. Notice the parable here, Luke 15 and verse 11. It says, and He said, a certain man had two sons and the younger of them and to his Father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.

37:03And He divided unto them His living, verse 13 says, and not many days after, the younger son gathered all together and took His journey into a far country and there wasted His substance with riotous living. He just wasted away His inheritance. He wasted His time. He immersed Himself into this world, this present evil world. That's Galatians 1 and verse 4. And first, John 2 says, if you're a friend of this world, you can't be a friend of God's. So here's this young man just immersing Himself into this terrible, sinful way of life. Verse 14, it says, and when He had spent all their arose a mighty famine in the land and He began to be in want. And He went and He joined Himself to a citizen of that country and He sent Him into His fields to feed swine. What a look. He had hit rock bottom. Verse 16, and He would feign, have filled His belly with the husks that the swine did eat.

38:08And no man gave unto Him. There He was out in the field, eating what pig's eat. Verse 17, and when He came to Himself, He said, how many hired servants of My Father's have bred enough to spare. And here I am. I perish with hunger. I'm out here with the swine, perishing, wasting away. Verse 18, I will arise and go to My Father. Now this took some courage. This took some humility to just say, I have made a mess of things. I've wasted my life. Says here, and we'll say unto Him, My Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you and am no more worthy to be called your Son. Make me as one of your hired servants. Isn't that the category we all fall into? Whether faithful, quote unquote, or prodigal. None of us are worthy.

39:08We all need God's mercy. We all have to claim that sacrifice of Jesus Christ and turn to God in repentance and faith. I'm not worthy, he said, and that's just the attitude that God was looking for. Verse 20, and He arose and came to His Father, but when He was yet a great way off, His Father saw Him and had compassion and ran and fell on His neck and kissed Him. This parable reveals the mind of God the Father, the love of God the Father, the Father's love as our book is titled. It says in verse 21, and the Son said to Him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight and am no more worthy to be called your Son. So here, He hit rock bottom, as I say, and He came to a real and genuine and sincere repentance toward God,

40:09toward His Father, in the book, the Father's love. It says this Father responded exactly the way God the Father responds to anyone who leaves His church and then returns to Him in repentance. Our Father is profoundly moved by a Son who repents who has an attitude of, I'll be a hired servant. I'll do anything. I'm just so thankful I can come back to your love and your mercy. I'm so thankful for your kisses and hugs because you are my Father. It says the Father is waiting with open arms. This is the way He is. This is the depth of His love. He's a Father. God is a Father and we are His children. And He's waiting for us to return into His open arms. Well, you know some of the other details, the brother. He didn't have the mind of God, not like His Father.

41:13He was upset by this, in fact. It says, now the elder son was in the field and as he came, this is verse 25, as he came and he drew near to the house. He heard music and dancing. The Father was throwing a feast for this repentant, prodigal son. And he called one of the servants and he asked what these things meant. And he said to him, your brother has come and your father has killed the fated calf because he has received him safe and sound. And notice verse 28, the brother was angry and would not go in. And therefore came his father out and entreated him. Here again, this too reveals a Father's love. It says the Father came out and entreated him. Encouraged him. This, this son that had gotten into a foul attitude, really. A bad attitude. And here comes a Father's love comforting this son, encouraging this son.

42:19Verse 29, and he answering said to his father low, these many years do I serve you neither transgressed I at any time, your commandment. And yet you never gave me a kid that I might make merry with my friends. I've just obeyed you all these years. I never transgressed and why haven't you thrown a party for me? It's a pretty bad attitude. He didn't quite have this, I'm not worthy, attitude at all. He thought he was very much worthy. Verse 30, but as soon as your son was calm, which has devoured your living with harlots and you have killed for him the fated calf. And he said unto him, son, here's a Father's love. Son, you are ever with me and all that I have is yours. So here is the love of the Father putting things in perspective. Look at what you have. You're right, you've stayed the course.

43:19But look at how God has blessed you. Everything I have is yours. Verse 32, it was meat that we should make merry and be glad for this your brother was dead. And his alive again and was lost and is found. This is the way God reacts to true repentance. That's why we talk about this subject so often on this show on our daily broadcast, the trumpet daily, because if we would just turn to God, if we would just turn from our wicked ways, this is what God would do. This is how He would receive us. This is the Father's love. 45:25Find a city near you and register at bythebible.com. Turn, you're going to have to turn to God if you solve these problems. That isn't politics. This has nothing to do with politics. God is saying, you must turn to me. It's the only solution to your problems. And a people who have been greatly blessed by God ought to be eager to hear what God has to say. But we have forsaken God in many ways. This nation has turned the other way. God says, now I want you to turn back to me, and I will give you protection, and you can save yourselves physically. And even spiritually, turn you from your evil ways. And why will you die, a house of Israel? God the Father really does yearn to have a close and special

46:27and intimate relationship with you. But you're a free moral agent. We all are. And we have to choose this. It's like Moses said to the Israelites in Deuteronomy 30, and he's speaking for God, and he's saying, I've put before you life and death blessings and cursings. Therefore, choose life. Choose blessings. Choose the way of obedience. And God will receive you with open arms. You know, if you go back to the lessons coming out of 9-11, 25 years ago, we were writing straight away that this war, this so-called war against terrorism, it was not going to end well. And in 2003, this is just a couple years in, and the invasion of Iraq was in motion, and Saddam Hussein, his government, his regime, toppled, I think in three weeks.

47:28It was an impressive display of power and strength. But look at what's happened in the 22-23 years since. This is what we wrote a couple years ago at the trumpet. Again, you can subscribe to the trumpet magazine freely. It says, at the time that trumpet was published, speaking of the one back in 2003, it says President Bush gave his mission accomplished speech on May 1, 2003, and then, you know, the Iraqi army was disbanded, and here you've got. What we thought would be this nation that would just fully embrace our democratic sensibilities, the military might and courage of the troops was undermined by the weak will of the leadership time and again. In 2019, again, this is from the trumpet, 2023. It says the U.S. Army released an extensive study on the lessons from the Iraq war. Its conclusion and emboldened and expansionist Iran appears to be the only victor.

48:34Well, and here we are today, and America is dealing with the Iran problem. Still, it just empowered Iran. Of course, the fighting continued in Iraq, Afghanistan, and then you look at the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan a few years ago. It didn't end well. And that's what we were saying at the trumpet. Based on prophecies in Leviticus 26, Deuteronomy 28, U.S. and Britain in Prophecy, Mr. Armstrong's master work on Bible Prophecy. Tomorrow's news today. Look at Ezekiel 33. This is what my father referenced in that cold open we had at the start. It says in verse 10, therefore, oh, son of man, you son of man speak unto the house of Israel. Speak, saying, if our transgressions and our sins be upon us and we pine away in them, how should we then live? How are we going to live if we just pine away in our sins?

49:36Say unto them, God says, as I live, say it, the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live, turn you, turn you from your evil ways. For why will you die, oh, house of Israel? This is the decision, you could say, that Israel has made. This is the choice. We've chosen death. We've chosen curses. And God says, a loving father says, why will you die? Why have you chosen this? There's still time to turn it around. As my father said at the start of the show, God's talking about the death of nations, and look, that is, leave aside the Bible for a moment, if you will. That has happened in history many times. Nations that thought they were invincible,

50:36that thought they were too big to ever come crashing down, too big to fail. Down in verse 28, notice what God says. It says, for I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength will cease, and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through, and then shall they know that I am the eternal, when I have laid the land most desolate, because of all their abominations, which they have committed. See, then they'll know, but this is what it takes, for most people to wake up. Right now, the alarm is being sounded. The cry is going out. The warning message is being delivered, but most you see won't, they won't awaken spiritually, until the land is desolate,

51:37until everything is laid low, because of the destructive weapons of mankind, in case you haven't been watching, the world is racing toward war. There's an arms race going on in Europe, everywhere, and America is spending so much of its strength and vain, in Iran and elsewhere. Verse 30, it says, as for you, O Son of Man, your people are talking about you in the streets, and at the doors of their house is saying to one another, come and let us hear what is the word of the eternal today. So there are some people that they liked the message that was from the Moffat translation. They're talking about God's work, and as I say, you look at the history, 35, 36 years, the fact that actually millions have come into contact with God's church, God's work,

52:37over the course of three-plus decades. A lot have come close to the truth, some coming into the church even, and then over time, getting complacent, and lazy, spiritually sluggish, and they stop doing their prayer and their Bible study, they start becoming more interested in the ways of this world, and they lose interest in this magnificent calling that God has given us. You can still return, just like it says here in Ezekiel 33, Verse 31, and they come unto you as the people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but they will not do them for with their mouth. They show much love, but their heart goes after their covetousness. They talk about love, but look at where their heart is. You know, we just passed the anniversary of the assassination of Charlie Kirk recently as well,

53:37and that was supposed to be a big turning point for the country, not just his organization, but the whole country. There was talk of a revival spreading over the earth even. Well, has that really brought about any noticeable change for the better? Has that brought the country to the point of repentance toward God? Verse 32, it says, and low, you are into them as a very lovely song of one that has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument. For they hear your words, but they do them not. You see, God's looking for much more than just a shallow belief in God or in Christ. He's looking for substance. Verse 33, it says, and when this comes to pass, low it will come, then shall they know that a prophet has been among them. Those people fall into this category where they wait and wait and wait until it's too late.
