313 Day Was A Major Success

313 day in Detroit was just fantastic. You know, on Friday, I went down the Hollywood casino or Greek town and they were doing the 313 versus everybody shirts.

So people were coming up and grabbing those and that was a lot of fun. The line was outrageous. I saw that. Yeah. Yeah. That line was crazy.

I wanted to send you a message like, why don't you bring some of those t-shirts back? No, but there was two. They needed people. They needed to go to all those people.

There's a lady staring at me in the video and I was like, and what did you want to say? She's like, I just need to get passed.

Did you see that? It was so funny. It was so funny. I just want to get to her slot. Yeah. So that was good. I got to see Courtney and Denise and everybody down there at Hollywood casino or Greek town. So a fun time and just great.

Did you stop for, you know, a royal boil or? No, it wasn't. That's at a daytime food. No, I really didn't. Or Friday food.

I didn't eat anything that during the day. Yeah. I was just, I was just drinking some water and that was it.

So, so I get done at two o'clock. Wait, was I there? Yeah, I was there 12 to 2. So I got done at two o'clock and I told you that a new skill of baby was in town.

He was going to do the halftime show with the Detroit youth choir for the pistons. So I called my friend DJ, you know, who works with him.

And she said, I spoke to skill up. Skill is having a sneaker party tonight. And he wants you to pull up at around nine. And I said, DJ, I don't pull up anywhere at nine.

I, I actually pull in at seven. I actually pull up to my bed at nine. Right, I actually, I actually pull the covers over at nine.

I just want to, I like to stay current and cool. Yeah. Is pull up what we say now to come or if you ask me to pull up, I will happily just what I don't have to get out of the car park.

Because I don't do that. I'll pull up. Right. Okay. And you know, and I just knew it wasn't just wasn't. I said, I said, where's he at now? Yeah. She goes, well, he's going to be heading out in a few minutes.

He has a sound check at little Caesars Arena at 330. So he should be, you know, in route soon. Oh, yeah. I said, all right. She goes, so she was, I'm going to give you this guy's number who's with him right now.

And I said, okay. And I said, is it weird if I call that person? She's like, no, I'm like, okay. So I called this guy. And he's like, big Jay, what do you do? I said, I said, I'm downtown.

I know skill wanted me to come to the sneaker party, but I can't pull up, but I can't pull up at nine. I can barely pull up at three. So he said, all right, he said, well, skill wants to see you.

So come to little Caesars Arena. And I said, okay, well, who do I ask for? He goes, well, you're Jay Towers. Just walk in. Yeah. That in theory sounds like that might work.

But I imagine it did. It does not work for me. No, it doesn't work.

credentials. Are you crazy? You forget we're with you often. Yeah. And we see it work out. And you also know me, not to be that guy either.

I'm not going anywhere. My name is not on a list. I'm not going to talk my way in the little Caesars Arena. I'm game day. Well, you might because you're going to see skill.

So I called a friend of mine that was in the distance. And I said, hey, sorry to be a pain, but I have to go visit with skill a baby. And I was told that, you know, it's cool.

I just need to be able to get in the building. And he said, I got a guy for you. And I got a guy called me. Is this the person you talk to when players come to you are?

Yeah, it was hard. Are you serious? Yeah. Art's birthday was yesterday. Happy birthday. Art's birthday was yesterday. And he said that he wants the three of us to come and check out his brother's new restaurant. Then we will.

We will pull up around two. But about around noon now. Let's pull up at 10.30. Don't don't twist arm. Yeah. So we're gonna have to make a date to do that.

Right. So art says call my friend Dwayne. Now Dwayne is in charge of all the like that. Like probably works with Kevin and works with all the halftime show like all the entertainment stuff.

So he was great. He said, yeah, no problem. Meet me at, you know, the employee entrance. So I was at the employee entrance. And, you know, you see like everybody's coming in there showing their credentials and all that's up. And they were all very nice.

And so finally he comes out. He gets me. And he brings me in and sits me like court side. They were they were doing like a charity basketball thing there or something like that.

So I was like sitting there and that was I just hung out there until the skill showed up. So then skill shows up with his guy and, you know, he can never just like say like, hey, he has to yell that J towers is in the building at the loudest level he can come up.

I think it is so cute. How much he likes you. I know me too. It is. He too. You're his boy. You look barely know him yet. You made such an impact. Yeah. Sure acts like it.

I don't know if I barely know more friends. I think I don't know if I'd say that. I mean, I just he's a newer friend. How about that? Okay. But he shot right up. Boom. Yeah. And that is so funny. So, so he's so he comes in. And he's going to do the sound check.

And so I'm just sitting there and I'm kind of. I don't know. I don't know. It was a loud video tape the sound check or not. But you know, the Detroit youth choir was there. Here's all the sound check.

Yeah, it was cool. That is cool. It was really cool to do that. So, so then he, you know, so then after that, we, I see him and then we talk for a little bit.

We took a picture. You know, yes. Oh, I was I said, he was, you know, the thing going. I mean, I was I told you he was shot last year. You know, it's crazy. I mean, yeah.

Breaking new story. Yeah. And and that was really it. Like, you know, he was asked, he asked what I had planned for the rest of the afternoon. I might coming back for the game. And I was like, no, because you didn't know.

And then he's like, are you coming to the sneaker thing? And I was like, well, I pulled up here. Yeah. I pulled up here. Yeah. Not there. No. And I said, I love the sneaker. I know.

I'm like sneakers, but I just don't know. I like you. I like sneakers. Right. I don't like nine o'clock. This is the meal. That's right. This is it. You got a bowl of soup.

Two sandwiches. That's the meal. There's no meal later. So anyway. So that was really great. And then you saw what you saw on TV. I mean, you know, and the

pissens won that night. And it was great. And I'm assuming he's he's all done here. But that was a lot of fun. You know what your customers are doing right this

second? The exact same thing you are listening to me, which let's be honest is kind of flattering. But my point is ads on I heart radio actually get heard in the
