1:16
Seriously, I want you to know how much I care about you, that I see you, I hear you.
1:22
I want to hear more from you. We've got a lot of cool things coming up. A lot of things
1:27
that have been requested. I know a lot of you are kind of hanging on the edge of your seat,
1:31
going, Christiane. When's the PJ Party coming, Christiane? When's Ame coming? Where are we going to
1:36
get Kairos launched so we can have more interaction? I hear you. I see you. And we're working on it.
1:43
I promise you behind the scenes, we're working hard. So I really do hope January, by the end of it,
1:48
we can get it actually launched most of it. But if not, it'll be first part of February.
1:52
Maybe it will be a Halloween series late. No, no, no, no, no. A Valentine's Day celebration.
2:00
I don't even do Halloween. All right. So I'm going all out here. Why?
2:06
Because I think we really have to begin to look at what we're going after in life.
2:14
I believe you're created on purpose for a purpose here, both in heaven and on earth.
2:19
And when you go through life, sometimes you have bumps along the way, right? Maybe you have a few
2:29
snacks. Maybe you have a few tornadoes. Maybe you have a few earthquakes.
2:38
You know, life isn't easy. We got that. In fact, I was traveling up from Florida down at my
2:46
conference. And I haven't made it home yet, by the way. I am still out and traveling. Maybe I'll
2:51
get there tomorrow or Wednesday. We'll see. But you know what? I just go with the flow. And sometimes
2:56
the main thing is you got to be present. But as I was driving from Florida up in further, well,
3:03
I guess technically north, but still in the south, I went through three states. And this is what
3:08
happened though. Okay. We talked about the storms of life. I started in 70 degree weather, sunny,
3:14
slightly overcast, warm, low humidity though. Guy in the car traveled for about probably 2015,
3:21
20 minutes or so. And then all of a sudden, just a nice little sprinkle. It was just beautiful. And
3:27
then it's like the heavens opened up and rain and rain and rain, no lightning, no thunder, just
3:33
as beautiful winter rain in Florida kept driving and driving probably three or so hours later.
3:40
I came across snow. I was like, well, this is interesting. I go from rain into snow.
3:46
Well, as I'm moving to snow, all of a sudden, I pull out of it. And there, I have overcast
3:52
great sky. With now, there's a sun out, but it's kind of a, but it's very glaring.
3:59
kept driving, kept driving, kept driving, kept driving. And then all of a sudden, the brightest
4:03
blue sky ever with just a trickle, a beautiful white clouds. Sun shiny, like crazy, awesome,
4:12
awesome. I thought, oh my goodness. But then when I got to my destination, 37 degrees, where
4:20
did I start out at? 70 degrees. Isn't that kind of how life is? And that was all within a 10
4:27
hour span of time. Okay. My own travel. It's like I hit every possible weather, possible. Okay,
4:34
I didn't get the tornadoes and the earthquakes and the hurricanes. I don't want those by the way,
4:38
to don't wish them on me. I don't want them. But you know, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle,
4:43
right? Where you're going, what you need to do next. And honestly, most dangerously, what everyone
4:49
else is doing. When the pressure piles up, it's tempting to look sideways, right? Side to side,
4:55
to compare your progress, your strategy, or your style to those around you. What does she do?
5:01
What does he do it? Where do I want to go over here? Have it over there. But if you want to reach
5:06
places you haven't been, you have to play your game always. And that means something simple,
5:15
yet incredibly powerful. Show up as you every single day. No noise, no side distractions,
5:24
no sneaky comparison traps. We've all been there, right? No laziness,
5:30
just your game on your terms. Sounds easier said than done, right? Seriously. So we've got to talk
5:37
something. Yeah, you know, I'm bringing it in. Think about the recent NFL playoffs. Have you seen
5:40
a couple of those games the overtime ones? Did you watch last night? The college football playoff
5:47
championship between Indiana and Miami? Okay, are you mad today? Are you still up because of what
5:55
happened? Maybe you're celebrating too much or maybe you're celebrating in the wrong way because
6:00
you didn't have the outcome you wanted? What's obvious from watching those games? What is it? What's
6:07
stood out to you? You're like, I really don't care, Kristian. Great, but I do. So I'm going to share it
6:11
with you. When players obsess over what the other team is doing, trying to outsmart or outrun them,
6:17
they leave their own unique talents on the bench and in the locker room. That's where they stay.
6:25
The moment you start chasing someone else's moves, you're selling yourself short.
6:30
You need to hear that today. Are you trying to be someone that you're not or being someone else
6:36
and not being who you are and who you are becoming? Playing your game doesn't mean you ignore the
6:42
competition, though. I must say that. It means accepting that you cannot control what the other
6:47
team does, just like you can't control every curve ball life throws your way. Your focus has to be
6:54
on executing your unique skill set, your unique plan, your unique grind. What does it look like?
7:03
Play your game always. And if you think about it, why does it feel so natural? And so easy, though,
7:10
to fall into everyone else's game. Why are you so tempted by it? Why are you like, I want to chase
7:18
this person over here? Because it's comfortable. It's mindless. You don't have to plan or
7:25
sweat your own progress when you're simply reacting to what others are doing. But go out and ask
7:32
any pro coach or season player. They know real success is about sticking to your playbook. It's
7:38
about your response, not your reaction. Too many people live in a reactionary world. And in doing so,
7:48
that is only going to hold you hostage and lower the ceiling. Do you think you're going to win?
7:56
Do you think you're going to get to where you want to go? Are you going to achieve those dreams?
8:02
Are you going to hit your purpose? So let's go back to the CFP championship. Look at it,
8:11
Indiana versus Miami, right? As a case in point. Sure, I know their game plan was the block runs
8:17
and passes, right? To keep the score low, right? You don't want somebody else to win, so you're going
8:21
to go after them. But their real focus, and I'm saying them as in Miami, was on wearing down Indiana's
8:28
quarterback Fernando Mendoza. If you just looked at the first half, they thought he was the enemy,
8:36
which to a degree he was, they even left him with a bloody mouth. But this is all before the first
8:43
half ended. But Miami did not stop the momentum. Mendoza played his game not theirs. I mean,
8:53
did you see the fourth and fifth and the fourth and fourth? Yeah, I'm talking about when
8:59
Signetti decided to make the call to go for first down when it was fourth and five. And they
9:05
got it. And then they kept going and they were right there. And instead of kicking for a field goal,
9:09
they said, no, it's fourth and four. And what happens? Fernando Mendoza, the quarterback of Indiana
9:17
Hoosers, yep. He's exact in and out only to dive for a touchdown. And the crowd goes wild.
9:25
That brought the score to 24 to 14, Indiana at 10 point game now. My friend, Progress is an
9:35
accidental. Progress is crafted by relentless action that fuels motivation and sparks momentum
9:42
without owning your piece of the puzzle, fill your sneaks into the cracks more often than victory.
9:50
So take a deep breath. Let's pause for a moment right now. Take a cue from those players and coaches
9:57
grinding on the field. Your best move is to play your game always.
10:08
So what does your game look like today? Are you wondering what somebody else is doing in your neck
10:17
of the woods when it comes to your clients and who you're serving and how you serve them?
10:24
Are you showing up in a manner that only you can do? Are you trying to captivate everybody?
10:33
Are you focused on the one person you need to be working towards?
10:38
Maybe right now you're thinking, well, it has nothing to do with my career, business,
10:42
Christian, but it has everything to do with my marriage. So are you looking at somebody else's
10:48
life and comparing your relationship between you and your spouse to somebody else's relationship?
10:55
Be careful. Are you living in that reactionary world?
11:01
Are you one who's saying I want to respond?
11:03
Well, I don't want to burst the bubble. If you're going to watch replay, then don't listen to me.
11:10
Turn me off here for a minute, but I'm going to tell you who won if you don't know already.
11:14
It's probably all over the news by now. Indiana beat Miami, 27 to 21. It was an absolutely
11:23
incredible game. And I do hope one of these days, if you don't know the story, go listen to the
11:29
story. What signetti has built within two years. How he brought up these men from James Madison,
11:39
a smaller school, a lesson school, right? Then the big 10 or a big 12 or an SEC, all of those,
11:46
right? These were little guys brought them in last year. And I can't remember how many stayed
11:54
on. I think it was like seven or eight are here this year. And they won the National
12:01
Championship. First National Championship in school history. First time for a tear, actually
12:08
second time, let me correct myself. Second time a team, I believe this is correct, that has gone
12:13
16 and 0 since 1894 and it was Yale. Yeah, I know. Drop the mic moment.
12:20
What if you could be that first National Championship, but it's the first whatever it is for you?
12:29
Maybe it's the first time being an amazing mom. And you're thinking, how does this compare? It's not
12:35
about comparison. That's where you're wrong. This isn't about looking at football and saying,
12:43
well, football doesn't apply to me. No, it doesn't, but it teaches you a lot. You're not going to
12:47
go out on the field and play a game of football. If you do great, but in reality, most of us don't.
12:54
But what it teaches us goes much further. Why? Because there's a story behind it.
13:02
What's the story behind your playbook? Did you know DeAngelo Ponds was honored with a
13:12
defensive MVP for the game? And he said this, you have two minutes to go out and take it.
13:20
And we went out and took it. I think that pretty much sums it up. You see, if you're comparing all
13:29
the time, you're actually limiting yourself. Because if you're trying to be just like that whatever,
13:37
I don't care if it's a couple, I don't care if it's a mom, I don't care if it's a business,
13:41
I don't care if it's an author, I don't care if it's a chef, it could be the best Uber driver
13:47
there is. I don't, I mean, honestly, it doesn't matter who it is. Fill in the blank.
13:54
But if you're always trying to compare your holding yourself hostage to the point where
14:01
yourself sabotaging yourself because you are putting limitations on how far you can go.
14:08
You've got two minutes to go out and take it. Be like Indiana. We went out and took it.
14:18
You've got to own your strengths, my friend, your unique strengths. You've got to own your unique
14:25
pace, your path, not anybody else's. It's not going to look the same.
14:31
When I started podcasting, I had no idea what I was doing. I heard them, I listened to them,
14:37
I was trained by some amazing, incredible podcasters in the space and understand. Back then,
14:46
there were less than 250,000 podcasts when I came on. I mean, it was so brand new.
14:52
And to be a daily podcaster, that was like, what? During the headlights. And you still don't have
14:57
very many people who do daily podcasts. Why? Because it takes a lot of work.
15:01
And you got to play in. And you got to pace yourself. But you got to go on your own path.
15:12
I chose that. Indiana Hoosier's football team chose that. And that's why they are the national
15:21
champions for 2026. Keep your eyes ahead. Not sideways. And watch how far you'll go.
15:31
I heard an on an interview. I don't know when this was. You might be able to search it up
15:36
in Google or use AI, whatever you want. But Fernanda Mendoza was being interviewed. And this was
15:44
maybe about halfway into the season. And remember, I believe they were the 20th ranked team.
15:53
And they were able to go all the way when the national championship. And that has not been
15:58
done since 2010. And on top of that, Fernanda Mendoza was also the Heisman trophy winner. He was
16:06
that Heisman of the year, 16 and 0. And I don't think Joe Burrow did that. But Joe Burrow was the
16:13
last one to win the Heisman and win the national championship. Now it's been repeated.
16:20
By Fernanda Mendoza, winning the Heisman and winning the national championship, it does not happen.
16:27
It's only 10 quarterbacks have done that. That's amazing. If you were to look at your stats
16:35
in life, what would they read? Seriously. Because you know, I talk a lot of football right here.
16:42
It's because I enjoy it. And I really do think we need to do Mama Sports Center. But we would do it
16:46
differently. It's not about going through all the different plays and all of that. Even though
16:49
Monday quarterbacking is kind of fun. But what if we would bend a quarterback from an aspect of
16:56
what's changing in the hearts? What are we doing? What are those kind of stats?
17:03
I totally love the celebrations on all the different colorful fields. You know, you've got
17:10
Boise playing and you know, they've got the, or is it Oregon? No, who has the blue field? I think
17:16
it's in Boise. See, now all of a sudden, I've been staying up way too late. All the colors,
17:21
I mean, who has a blue field? Grash should be green, right? But they do. I believe it's them.
17:27
You can correct me. Send me an email. It's fine. But seriously, right? When we look at that,
17:33
what if we were to put you on that field? What would your stats look like?
17:38
I'm not talking about all your successes either. I don't want to know about all your trophies.
17:44
I want to know how you're doing life. How are you showing up every single day? How are you showing
17:50
up for your kids? How are you showing up for your spouse? How are you showing up for your colleagues?
17:56
This is your life and you get to shine. Let me tell you this. There's no victory in imitation.
18:09
The real win is in being unapologetically you all day, every day.
18:16
That is one thing that the Indiana Hoosiers did this season. They came out and as Fernanda Mendoza
18:26
said, we are a bunch of missfits. But we love the game and we're going to play the game our way.
18:35
Are you ready to do life your way as in your unique ability? The gifts and talents God has given you?
18:46
Because it's not about what everybody else can do but what you can do and what God can do in you and through you.
18:54
Mendoza did the same thing, right? But his just happened to show through football. What is it for you?
19:02
Think about it. Go deeper. You still have time to impact the world that you touch. Don't think you're too old.
19:11
Don't think you're too young. Just think this, you're just right.
19:16
But it's going to take you to say you know what? I'm ready to be present, to be incredible, to truly
19:25
be me. So let me tell you, go out and be you. I love you so very much. I cannot wait to see you
19:33
on the other side. Blessings, hugs and lots and lots of love. We'll talk to you real soon.
19:37
Have a glorious blessed day and congratulations, Indiana Hoosiers, 27-21, the national champions.
