Well as you know Wednesday we've changed kind of the focus not exactly but it's well spring Wednesday
1:08
And it's really talking about how to love your reflection loving your whole self
1:12
Where you're showing up how you're showing up how to make those choices of course
1:16
We've got to look at ourselves from a healthy perspective the fitness part the nutrition part
1:20
But also it's our mindset
1:22
Where are we allowing our beliefs to come filter in to our thoughts which dictate our actions and in our actions
1:30
Where do they lead and who is doing all this?
1:34
Are we doing it? Are we walking in step with God? I mean what is the process?
1:40
So here on well spring Wednesday
1:42
We're just going to dive in and it's one of those things where you know
1:47
What do you do to make life work well?
1:50
And with spring around the corner. I can't help but think about planting. What about you?
1:54
You know in the relentless rush of daily life
1:57
It's easy to feel like we're sprinting on a treadmill set to maximum speed like oh, we got this we got this
2:03
Chasing the next goal the next move the next achievement
2:06
Only to end up overwhelmed
2:08
Exhausted and stuck in a loop of what didn't get done
2:13
That constant hurry doesn't just steal time. It steals clarity. It steals our joy
2:20
It steals the chance to grow something meaningful in our lives
2:23
It takes away the impact that we have on the world that we touch
2:27
So what if instead of rushing
2:30
You plant your patients and I'm not talking about those flowery patients
2:35
But maybe you could think of it as those beautiful patients that you plant they are gorgeous by the way
2:41
But it's about your patients your resolve how you approach things
2:45
What if you slowed down dug deep and gave yourself the permission to nurture progress with care
2:53
You know the truth is simple, but often ignored anything worth having or becoming takes time
3:07
all these start as small seeds fragile and tentative
3:14
Watering they need sunlight
3:16
They need time to sprout and grow strong
3:20
You know life gets so confusing when we let the chaos of busyness control us and we do
3:26
The tangled mess we often find ourselves in is rarely due to the external forces
3:31
But rather to our letting impatience lead
3:35
Pushing us into frantic motion that scatters our focus and energy
3:39
Have you ever woken up more tired than when you went to bed? You're like gosh, did I get any sleep?
3:46
And then reality you fell asleep maybe only woke up one time to go to the bathroom and said
3:50
Have three times to go to the bathroom, but you're still scratching your head going why do I feel more exhausted
3:57
Because sometimes we're just always in that hurry scurried mode
4:01
And we don't know how to step away from it
4:04
So let me bring in a new perspective for you patience is not passive weighting
4:10
It's an active powerful choice to nurture your goals thoughtfully
4:15
To expect the natural pace of growth
4:18
And to stay present in the process instead of racing toward the finish line
4:23
Right, we've got a plant your patience
4:26
That is your kiss to keep it simple strategy plant your patience now
4:31
What are you doing at this moment?
4:35
What does the season feel like? Are you running from one thing to the next?
4:40
I know for me I kind of am I'm traveling every three to four days
4:44
And it drives me a little bit crazy, but guess what I know that's the season I'm in
4:50
And so I have made changes
4:52
To allow myself to be in that season
4:58
So yeah even in this kind of craziness of my life knowing I'm traveling every three to four days
5:04
I still have to plant my patience
5:06
I have to figure out okay, what can I do now? What is working? What's not working? What do I need to maybe do more of?
5:15
Now when you're traveling a lot, what do you think you lose?
5:20
Why because you're not in your own bed most of the time it's hard
5:25
It really is and patience well it does help if you get some sleep, right
5:31
So when you're looking at the season of life that you're in
5:35
And you're ready to spring forward and you're ready to say you know what I want to do something different in the season
5:44
It's got to start with your patience
5:47
And you've got to be able to cultivate what that landscape looks like for you
5:54
So what does it look like to grow your patience and plan it so your progress can blossom
6:01
Plant belief as your seed
6:04
Every change begins with belief
6:07
the conviction that what you want is possible
6:11
And worth the time it takes notice the and it's not just it's possible period
6:18
Right, it's possible and it's worth the time
6:22
That's where huh. Hello patience comes in, right?
6:26
So without this foundation patience feels like a frustrating weight
6:30
But with belief it becomes a hopeful planting a promise to yourself that you're investing in your future
6:38
And you can take one step at a time that leads to miles of greatness every single day and that one step doesn't mean
6:46
That you've taken 20
6:48
It literally means one step one step
6:52
And that one step isn't like a dinosaur step
6:56
It might be that little cute tweety bird
7:00
And it may be just a baby step. I mean so small
7:04
But if you were to take one step every single day and 365
7:09
Days you will have taken 365 steps right in your year
7:13
Don't you think that's going to get you somewhere most definitely
7:18
So plant belief as your seed and if you're like I don't really know what I believe well then start there
7:25
Figure out what your season is where do those beliefs filter in
7:30
If this is a spiritual question for you. Well then you need to dive deeper
7:37
How God shows up for you
7:40
If the belief might be gosh, I really need to lose weight because well
7:44
I just know I need to I'm getting older and I don't need to have this extra weight around my waist
7:49
So what does that look like? Okay, so that belief is different
7:54
Is it all about the number on the scale maybe you used to think that when you're in your 20 somethings
8:00
But now that you're in your 40 and 50 somethings and 60 somethings and 70 somethings
8:05
Not number on the scale may not mean the same to you anymore
8:09
So that belief has changed or if it has it maybe it needs to see where I'm going with this
8:15
So your belief is the focus of where your season is
8:19
Because if we were looking at your entire life
8:22
Holy cow, that's a lot of beliefs. Okay, so get to the core of where you are in your season plant belief as your seed at number two
8:30
nourish with consistent action not instant results
8:35
Oh, I don't know why we can't get away from this goldfish syndrome here
8:41
It's like I see it. I want it. I see it. I want it
8:47
We go through the drive through I see it. I want it and I don't want it in 10 minutes
8:52
I don't want to wait for my chicken extra crispy to be cooked for 13 minutes and I can have it fresh
8:58
It should already be ready when I drive up and so when I go to the second window after I paid at the first window
9:08
Maybe had nothing to do with extra crispy chicken, but we all can relate to wanting something immediately. We see it. We want it
9:15
But you see patients isn't about sitting still. It's about steady deliberate care
9:20
It's not about the fast food drive up
9:25
It's not about I just got to get this done right now small purposeful steps compound over time to produce growth
9:34
So celebrate the daily efforts one step at a time leads to miles of greatness
9:40
I don't care if it's the one step that's like the dinosaur size which it doesn't have to be but there might be times where it is a dinosaur step
9:48
Right or maybe for some it's an elephant step, but dinosaurs I think would take a much bigger step
9:52
I'm just saying their stride would be much bigger
9:55
versus a little bird
9:57
But you can have a conglomerate of everything in between
10:00
Celebrate those daily efforts even when results aren't immediate
10:04
Because they build momentum and faith in the process
10:08
Now a lot of times we have to wet it comes to our belief
10:12
And then we have to go okay now that I'm doing this with consistent action
10:16
I see it coming and then it builds momentum and over time it's like yes
10:21
So let's go back to weight
10:24
All right, you want to see that number move. Well, maybe that number's not going to move as fast as it used to
10:29
Because your metabolism is different. It's okay. Welcome to aging gracefully
10:34
Say whoop whoop. It's wonderful. You don't need all these gadgets to tell you what you need to do with your health. You already know
10:42
And it starts with consistent action
10:45
believing in who you are and who you are becoming and then taking those little steps and those little pretty steps are just as good
10:53
Maybe it's about switching out
10:55
Your vegetables and having more vegetables than you do bread or whatever it is
11:02
Whatever you're working on maybe it's drinking more water. So it's taking a can of soda now for a
11:10
And I'm all about saving the world
11:11
But if you're making that switch by those bottled waters for right now make it an easy grab an easy decision
11:18
Then you can go and
11:20
Buy something else that you want to so you know definitely recycle the bottled water
11:25
You know the bottles of the water come in but make it easy for you right consistent action
11:33
Decisions with consistent actions
11:36
And that's how you build that momentum
11:40
And where you can have faith in the process of where you're headed who you are and who you are becoming
11:46
And then finally number three create space to reflect and adjust
11:50
Okay, notice it's not just a reflect. It's also to make the adjustments needed
11:54
We got to be flexible and not just in our fitness which is very important as we grow older
12:00
But we need to have that flexibility that adaptability
12:03
We need to be able to adjust in real time growth doesn't happen in chaos
12:08
So carve out moments away from distractions to observe your progress
12:13
To adjust your approach and to quiet the noise of doubt
12:18
If you haven't been listening you're just now kind of catching up go back two days ago
12:24
Right the power of silence go listen to that one
12:27
And then go listen to yesterday's come back to center
12:31
A lot of that is about creating that space to reflect to say you know what it's mindful reflection
12:38
That's going to refuel my patience and it's going to keep my vision grounded. It's going to keep me in the game of life
12:45
And there's going to be a lot of things that
12:48
You're like I'm done. I'm finished
12:51
And it can be anything that can derail you there's lots of stuff that can
12:55
Bills right? Oh, let me tell you about bills. All right. I mean all of these things that we have
13:02
In life it could be our health
13:06
It could be where we live it could be our career it could be our kids it could be our spouse
13:12
It could be our colleagues
13:14
It could be about retirement
13:16
Right there's so many things what is it for you
13:20
Remember patience is a muscle you build with practice
13:25
It's not a fixed trait you either have or you don't
13:28
So the more you cultivate it the more your progress expands naturally and powerfully
13:34
And it allows you to have a greater impact on the world that you touch
13:40
So to honor this journey. I want you to really think about what it's like in planting patience
13:49
Though the soil is bare
13:51
Though the days feel slow
13:53
Though no bloom is there
13:56
Water it with belief
13:57
Sunlight of quiet grace
13:59
Roots grow beneath in their own time and place
14:04
Storms may come and winds may bend
14:07
But patience is the promise that growth has no end
14:12
So slow your hurry tend with care great things take time they blossom where
14:17
You dare to plant patience there
14:21
Oh my friend patience planted is progress made
14:25
When you root your actions in belief and nurture them with steady care
14:30
The impossible shifts closer to the inevitable
14:36
It's time to stop rushing
14:39
What if we were to start from a point of rest
14:44
And you start by saying you know what
14:47
What's in my heart start planting
14:50
And watch your own growth surprise you
14:54
Go in peace be present
14:57
Be incredible be you
