What is like being a major league ball player and I got the man here.

CJ. Yes, how are you doing? I'm doing good.

CJ in the big leagues. What's that feeling like?

Um, accomplishment. From working for when I was eight years old writing stories saying

I want to be a professional baseball player.

Right, stories. Yeah, when I was in the elementary.

It does like money go to it. If I had to write a story.

That's where I go to, what I want to do and I go.

And then, you know, I guess I'm living that dream right now.

So, I mean, what was that role like? How did it take for you to get here?

Hard work, dedication for one.

Course school work and me actually just having fun playing the game.

I met a three support guy in high school.

So I played baseball basketball and football.

You want to make more instigures, athlete, huh?

You know, I am athlete, you know.

You didn't hesitate on that one now.

But now, it's, you know, it was, it was hard.

You know, it was hard. It was fun.

You know, you got to play it like I got the chance to play the best of the best.

You know, just one of them things.

I think my best, the best came out of me and set a lot of baseball.

The plan would grow me.

And I think that's what, when I got here, that's what, you know, kind of keeps me humble.

So, was you the man in high school?

Yeah, that sounded right. That sounded right.

Well, you had to be the man. You used to brother getting drafted now.

Come on, you know.

My best friend, one of my best friends got drafted the year before I did.

But Astros.

Who was that?

Sam's Christiana Holley.

Okay.

And I got drafted the next year.

So, yeah, I was the man.

He was the man. I was the man.

Okay. So, what's your thoughts about being up here?

You plan for the curves?

Oh, man, I love it.

It's fun, you know, every day, I mean, every day you get to do something you love to do.

Like, every day I wake up, like, I get to come here and be with these guys

and put on the uniform, represent the name on the frame, the name on the back.

You know, I know coaching college balls, high school balls, some of the travel balls.

That's a bond that going with the team and a lot of comical stuff that the fans were never know about.

Who's the biggest character on this team?

Number six.

Yeah, number six. I think number six is.

Oh, he's a character.

That's a character, right?

Okay. So, you know, you can't tell us about some of the stuff that going on.

I know that, but, uh, what happens on team, stay on the team.

But, I mean, you know, it's like family.

You guys bond together, you live together, you stay together, you're on the role, you're on the plane.

I mean, you know, not stop laughter.

Not stop laughter.

Number six, man.

Number six of clowns.

We're going to have to get number six.

I'm sure fine.

Yeah, we've got to get number six on this show.

Got number six funny.

So, I mean, you know, I was there when you got your Cleveland, when you guys won the Royal Series.

I got a short chance interview.

You probably don't remember if so much was going on so fast.

What's your thoughts about bringing the Royal Series to Chicago?

You know what, man?

That right there is probably...

It's a highlight.

Like, just to know, like, what these guys went through.

Like, you know, Cubs fans, 108 years.

Like, and there was years when they got, you know, they was good and got them.

And, you know, we just couldn't put it together and we finally was able to put it all,

the pieces of the puzzle together and, you know, erase that flight.

So, did you cry?

No.

And did not cry.

So, you're not telling to eat that, yeah.

So, I mean, when you think back over the Major League career, you're looking at this locker.

And I mean, what was your thoughts?

My thoughts.

Oh, he's just getting me with that with that number six.

You try to pull it fast, but don't go to coach.

But, yeah.

Yeah, man, you know, that jersey says a lot.

It means a lot.

I mean, from coming up playing like, you know, every little lead team has, you know, that Major League name.

Oh, this is the BP Cubs, you know, the pirates and all this.

And now to actually put on the uniform with the real team, like the Chicago Cubs.

Like, that is, you know, that is, this is, it's like, it's kind of hard to explain sometimes.

Like, people ask me every day, like, what is your life like?

And I tell them, like, it's like a little kid, man, and the kid is still like, every day I wake up,

I get to go play baseball.

I get paid.

Yeah, we get paid.

But, yeah.

I know.

But not.

I mean, yeah.

We get paid.

But it's more, to me, I just like, it's just nice to like, go out there and be on the Major League

field.

And it's just, you know, just sucking in all the energy that the fans of crowd give you.

So, it's, you know, it's really been a blessing.
