Can I Keep a pet?表示我能养宠物吗？这里的keep是抚养、饲养的意思，也可以用来表示整理、料理的意思。
如果孩子真的很想养宠物，妈妈则可以问问孩子，他能不能做到下列的事项呢？例如，Will you feed the dog?你会帮忙喂狗吗？feed是指喂食的意思，或者问Will you take the dog for a walk?你会帮忙带狗去散步吗？
Can I keep a pet?我能养宠物吗？
My mom keeps the house.都是我妈妈在做家务。
Please give the dog some food.帮忙给狗喂一点食物。
Peter: Mom, did you see Andy’s dog?
Mom: Honey, don’t tell me that you want a pet dog also.
P: Mom, please .Can I have a pet dog like Andy’s?
M: Honey, you know, we don’t have enough room for a pet dog.
P: Mom, we can keep it on the balcony, right?

Did you see…?你看见过……相当于之前另一种表达方式：Have you seen…?
Pet除了当宠物使用，还可以做动词。
Balcony是阳台。
Full of…是指盛满，充满，在对话中是指阳台已经堆满了箱子和东西。
Every dog has his day.每个人都有他的一天，这是字面的意思，其实想表达的是“每个人都有走运的时候”。你还可以说，Everyone gets lucky sometimes.或是 ,Everyone has good days.
