All right, I guess I got to take a break from covering Australia and get back to covering the 49ers, which is why I'm here. What's up? Welcome to 49ers down under. I'm a grant. I'm now Australian. I came in as an honorary Australian and I feel like I'm going to become a dual citizen by the end of this trip. But that's neither here nor there will get to things I've learned about Australia later. What I want to talk about first is the 49ers since that's my job. That's why I'm here. I'm at the AA AMI Stadium. They play soccer, rugby, various sports other than the AFL, which is my second favorite sport, all of a sudden. That's where the Niners are. They're out there on the practice field right now. Some more players will talk in a little bit. To me, the story right now is Bosa.

I mean, at least for today, what are we here to talk to Kyle about what he thinks about Australia hasn't even gone outside. The story is Bosa is he going to play and George Kidd is going to play. He's out there practicing. Everyone else, I mean, there's a lot of people who came back, Ronaldo, Green came back, Romero, Hight came back. Bosa is interesting because the Niners are being really coy with him. It'd be one thing if he was like, you know, not practicing or standing there so we could see him and take a picture, but they don't want that. I don't really understand why. No, this is the one. What makes it super weird to me, maybe I'm over, tell me if I'm overreacting. The social team, the Niners, audio visual, social media team put out a video of players coming out to practice here, like 10 minutes before we went out there. You saw Kyle Eustach and Andy Pinerro and a bunch of guys. One of them was Bosa. He's wearing the uniform. He doesn't have pads, but no one's wearing pads today. And he looks, you know, happy, healthy, walking out onto the field as though he's going to

practice. So the Niners want you, the Rams, the country of Australia to think that Nick Bosa is playing, which he may and practicing today, which he's not. I know we'll go out there and you can see it for yourself. There's the defensive line. He's not out there. And it's like, why was that the plan to not have him practice today? Maybe. I see like they're making the plan up as they go along with Nick Bosa. I just want to point out that he practiced once on Wednesday. And the idea was like, let's get him out there to see how his knee responds. But he practiced once on Wednesday and then they flew. So they didn't get it. They didn't give him a chance to see how the knee would respond. And then now we're four days later and he didn't practice. So did it not respond well? We don't know because Matt Barrow's asked Kyle Shanahan about this at just a minute. Just an hour ago and Kyle's like, I don't have to answer that question. Which is like, no, okay, no, you don't have to answer that question. But given what we just saw on the practice field, it seems like there's a reason you didn't want to answer that question.

Like if Bosa was going to be out there today, I feel like Kyle could have said, yeah, everyone, you know, on track. But it said he's a heat he pleaded fifth took the fifth. Okay. Is it possible that the Niners are experiencing a little bit of sunk cost fallacy here? Like they're more invested in this game and this trip than the Rams. As we all know, the Niners came out here a week early to give themselves the best chance to win as possible because it's, you know, it's the Rams and it's a rivalry. It's a division and all that. You only get 17 games all that. So once you put yourself in the position where you're coming out of a week early, I mean, that's a lot. The players didn't want to do it. The coaches didn't want to do it, but they felt they had to do it because they really think they can win this game if they do everything the right way. Well, if Bosa can't play, then maybe they can't win this game. It's just week one, but let's say Bosa can't play at all. Well, you don't have your two starting defense events because the other starters, Mike

Hill Williams, who isn't as good of a pass rusher as Bosa, but he's a much better run defender as Bosa. They beat the Rams last year without Bosa, but large, I mean, not largely, but partially because Mike Hill Williams played. He's a hell of a run defender. So I just kind of feels to me, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe he'll practice the next two days, but it kind of feels to me like the Niners are putting a little bit of pressure on Nick. Like, Hey, man, we really need to win this game. We came all the way out here. You know, like if you don't play, it's going to be hard for us to really compete. So it kind of seems like they're just kind of leaving the door open like, all right, Nick, you don't want to practice today. That's fine. That's fine. You don't have to practice today. Hey, man, we just need you. We just need you on Friday. So as long as you, whatever it takes, if you want to practice some this week, if you want to practice not at all, it doesn't matter. As long as you're on the field, somewhat on Friday, we're good, which I partially understand. He doesn't need to play the next two games against the dolphins and the Cardinals. The Niners should be able to win those games without him.

There is a risk of re-injury. He's 11 month removed from his second ACL surgery on that knee. It's supposed to be at 12 to 18 month recovery. He's already pushing it. I mean, having forbidden, he ruptures his Patelus in his career most likely. He could play and they could still lose, but it just feels like since they came out here a week early, since they're committed to trying to do whatever it takes to win this game. So approaching it like a playoff game anyway, thought dude, they're leaving the door open when maybe they shouldn't like hit my question. If the season started at home, I'd leave by stadium against the dolphins, would Nick Boe supposed to be playing, practicing? Well, he's not practicing. It just seems like the only reason they're even considering it is because one, it's in Australia and they came out here a week early and they would feel like a waste of time to do all this preparation just to get there to get smacked because Boe's doesn't play. Like he's that important.

The last time they played the Rams without Boe's or Michael Williams, I mean, the defense got utterly eviscerated. Utterly eviscerated. So if that's what they're facing, their first game under Raheem Morris, can they even execute the stuff they want to do? If not, then they're screwed and it's like, well, you flew out here, you spent all this time and money, you acclimated yourself, took this big trip to lose to a team that just dropped in. That's like mentally and emotionally tough to handle. So it seems like since they're already like pot committed, I'm using a bunch of different metaphors here, poker metaphors. Since they've already put a bunch of money in the pot, they're like, we can't fold this hand. When really maybe you fold this hand. We'll see if Nick Bolshepp plays it. It just seems like if he isn't good to go today for practice and he's only had one practice in the last month plus, he's not going to be in football shape. He shouldn't play 100% or he shouldn't play 75% of this now. So he should play pass rush snaps only.

You don't want him defending the run. That's hard work. Pass rushing is not necessary. It's not as physically taxing. It's not like labor. It's one on one in space. It's tougher for the offensive tackle than for Bolshepp. What's tougher is when he has to be there on first and 10 and he has to worry about all the different people who could block him. It's going to be the tackle, maybe the guard too or maybe the tie it in too. I mean, it could be two, three guys that he has to give glasses from four different directions. I think so. I think so. The Niners want. So give Bolshepp credit. He's trying his best to come back early. Again, this is supposed to be a 12 to 18 month recovery. He's trying to do it in 11 months. He could have said, look guys. I'm not coming to Australia. Okay. I'm not ready. I've had one practice. I'm not in football shape. I'm not going to do this. But he didn't. He's a better teammate that his brother, no if it's a Joey, but like came out here. He's giving a shot. He played ball with the with the social team to like pretend like he was going to practice today. And I assume he's going to try to play on Friday because I don't think he wants to waste

his own time coming all the way out here to do nothing. Again, if the Niners were being smart and if there were, they were playing any other team in any other place and they didn't have this, you know, sunk cost of coming out to Australia week early to play the Rams, who Kyle Meadows himself against. Would he play? I think the answer is no. So. Do what you got to do. I'm, I'm not a doctor. I don't know what the right answer is, but I'm just seeing a guy who's clearly not ready. And I think it's interesting. Be smart. And Bosa went down last year. The Niners kind of gave up. I mean, the team didn't give up the front office gave up. They did nothing at the trade deadline. Oh, where were we going to go without Nick Bosa? We're screwed without Nick Bosa. Yeah. You're screwed without Nick Bosa. So does it really important to get him back for week one? Is it possible that the 16 hour flight affected by it? It would have been really nice for Kyle to be like, yeah, Bosa's fine. The flight didn't affect him. After Wednesday's practice, we were really kind of worried about his knee.

You know, we, none of us knew how it was going to respond. Not us, not the trainer's not Bosa, but, hey, it responded really well. And he's not going to practice today. Just want you guys to know that. But we don't want you guys to get the wrong impression. Don't go do a live stream, alarming nine or fans about Nick Bosa. Whatever you do, understand. This is all part of the plan. And he's going to be okay. They didn't do that. Hey, we're pleading the fifth. You're not going to see Nick Bosa, but we're going to throw him out there and film him so people might think that it's strange. My spider senses are tingling. And I think something is a foot. So we'll see. Big Juski says shout out to Grant for going live after the smoke sash. Come on, bro. Come on, bro. That's not even legal here. Callum says, get that grant. I'm near the Niners practice field. What time does the practice finish? I'd love a photo if you have time. It's going to finish soon. And the player is going to talk. And then I said yes to like seven different Australian TV personalities that I would do an interview with them because, hey, I'm an American who likes Australia.

So people want to know what that's about. Britain says if Nick plays well for a few weeks, is he crafty mid season trade? We need some D line weapons. He probably won't win the Niners a chip at this point. I don't think the Niners have the guts to trade Nick Bosa. Simple as that. I don't think they would do it. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'll go to those a new sheriff in town. All Niners says everyone is talking about if Bosa will play, but will he even be effective is a better question. Yeah, like even if he plays, what is he giving? Yes, a good point. Sir Jeffrey Jetson says, do you think they'll play more three, four, five, two in this game? Yeah, I think they're prepared for that because the whole thing with the Rams 13 personnel is like if you're going to put three tight ends on the field, you're now like widening the surface of the Niners defensive line. So it's already a wide nine four man front with a bunch of space between the defensive line. And now you put three more tight ends. You're just widening that four man front even more to the point where it's really hard to defend the run when there's that much space in between each player. So then the last time the Niners face the Rams three tight end offense, they got destroyed

and they're trying to do something different. And I think that a five man front in theory is a better option, but do the Niners have the players to actually pull it off? I don't know. I guess we'll find out. I think they don't, but hey, Bosa could change things. I think this is really interesting. The Niners seem upset with the Rams. They keep bringing it up. I heard this on the plane. I've heard it from alumni people. I heard it from Kyle. It just seems like their attitude is, hey, wait a second. We didn't want to come to Australia. All right. You guys are supposed to be the team that's like the home team out here. This is your official region away from home. You invite you you didn't invite you dragged us the hell out here. You forced us to come to Australia because you didn't want the embarrassment of facing us at so far where we fill up your stadium. So you should be out here too. I feel like the Niners attitude is like they're very salty about the Rams. Like, hey, wait a second.

I thought the assignment was we need to grow the brand. We're the only ones doing that. And and haha, you thought you were you were avoiding embarrassment by leaving so far. But guess what? We're going to have more fans in the stands than you. Ha, ha. And it's like, okay, those are two valid points. But it almost sounds like the points that a team that expects to lose would make. It's like wait a second. Hold on, man. You're just going to show up and bring Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett and Pukinakua who should be suspended and Matthew Stafford and Devonte Adams and all those tied. You're just going to show up the day before and beat us. That's not fair. We don't want to come out here. We're doing your work. We're we're we're mingling with the people. And you're just going to show up and beat us. That's not fair. It's like the result of the game isn't all that matters. Well, this is about this is about growing the brand and filling that stadium and creating new fans of the NFL and end of the 40. No, it's not.

It's about winning. If this was a preseason game, then fan engagement would be really important and growing the brand and and and getting new fans from Australia would be so important. But all that matters is winning this game, which is why you can't get mad at the Rams for what they're doing. The Rams have decided that showing up the day before gives them the best chance to win not only this week, but the following week when they have to go back to America and not be jet lag to face the New York Giants who aren't bad. So don't complain. You could have made the same no one forced you to come out a month a week early to promote the NFL. You wanted to come out a week early because you thought that would help you adjust to the seven hour time difference. You needed eight days to adjust to a seven hour time difference. That's what you thought was the best move. I question that.

You wanted to do this and it cost you in the sense that Sam Okawana went down the last day of practice and you couldn't really bring in someone good to replace him because you're in Australia and you had to pull a favor with someone who used to play for a few more. And now if Nick Bolsa doesn't play like. I think the Rams are doing anything wrong. If the Rams come here and beat the Niners, I bet a bunch of Australian Rams fans will be created because they will be impressed by what a display they put on. Those like sour grapes like, hey, wait a second, man, you got Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett and all these players and we don't even have Nick Bolsa and we're out here a week or a week. It's like, you're not even you're not even doing that much to grow the NFL brand. We asked Kyle Saini and like, hey, what do you think of Australia? He's like, I don't know. I haven't gone outside much. Cool. I've done more to promote the NFL than the 49ers have done.

They should have just said me. They should have showed up the day before. It's like, hey, we've got to send Grant down there. Have them do some cheeky videos about up food. I could do that all day. What are the Niners doing? They won't even let people watch practice. You can watch the warm up stuff but now it's like, hey, all you Australians, get the fuck out of here because we're afraid you're going to share our game plan with the NFL so silly. We want to grow the brand so we're going to bring our team out here but we're not going to let people watch practice because we're just so famous that we just want to watch. You can watch us warm up. Dude, in Australia, a Patrick Dangerfield is more famous in Christian McCabry. Just bringing people out for a photo op is it necessarily going to make a bunch of Australians be like, oh my God. Why was I watching this others? I actually want to watch American. I don't know. But the more I hear the Niners complain about the Rams, the less I want to pick the Niners to win this game. She just ate home.

I'm really glad I'm here though. Britain says 16 hour lost flight would suck. Who would impact more? I think the Niners would have a bigger blow to them because they have put so many eggs in this basket and the Rams don't seem to be doing that. The barber sensei says, can I get a food and no hell yeah. Cassie 89. Cassie 89 says Niners think it's Cabo or week before losing another Super Bowl. Rams is showing up to ball pretty much. Another Jeffrey Jetson says no stash Kyle is screaming post game loss interview. Nassim says off topic grant. I saw a clip for J. York being asked after firing Harba while he should be fired to. I heard your dad's voice. Was it him? Fuck yeah. It was one of the coolest things my dad ever did. And I think he retired a few months after that. That might have been his mic drop moment. My dad's the best. Love my dad. Hey dad, if you're watching, he's not feeling so good. He was in Bordeaux for two weeks.

Fucking 80 year old Lowell Cohen went to Bordeaux by himself for two weeks. Had a great time. Got sick on the flight home. But we are going to do a cones on tomorrow assuming he's doing well, which I think he is. Jet lag is the interesting topic of the week. I didn't feel very much of it. And we asked Kyle Shanahan and Christian McCaffrey about it. And Kyle was basically like, yeah, it's real. It's real. I didn't feel normal until today. And it's been three days. So he was kind of making a big deal of it. I don't feel that. I don't know what he's talking about. I felt great. Pretty much immediately. I did fall asleep at like 830 on the second night. But is it because I was jet lagged or is it because I had a Guinness and a shot of Jameson and a nine ounce beer and another shot of Jameson? I don't believe that's why I got tired at 830. I'm just saying, I don't think the Niners were going to do that. And I didn't do that last night. And I stayed up till 1130 because I'd just been drinking coffee all day.

So haven't felt the jet lag. Kyle swears that it exists. And then Christian McCaffrey came out today and was like, actually, it's not the jet lag isn't really what's affecting us. It's not what we need to work with. He's so plain spoken. I like Christian McCaffrey. He has a dry sense of humor. He's like, no, the issue is the flight. It's a 16 hour flight. It's tiring. I'm sure football players don't have very many days where they just sit and watch TV. They're either like playing football or getting treatment or lifting or running. They're moving. And you couldn't move for like essentially a full day. And that has an effect on you. That's real. I definitely felt that. So I thought that was a really interesting answer. But that's the kind of thing that goes away pretty fat. You get off the plane. It's been 16 hours. You're slaps, you know, sitting up. All of these players slaps laying down.

You know, you have a shower. You have a brush teeth. You feel a little gross. Your legs are a little wobbly. You got to get the blood moving. Then you get the blood moving. Then you take, then you drink a cup of coffee. You go to the AFL game. You get a little adrenaline going. You stay up till 1130. You sleep till 730. Boom. You're refreshed and you're on Australia time. I think the Niners miscalculated. They may still might win. But the abundance of caution they took to prepare for this jet lag or time difference. It's like a bunch of guys who's never been to Australia before who didn't really know what to expect and just looked at and said, oh, shit, 17 hour time difference. Fuck. That sounds awful. Why don't we go a month before the game starts and maybe that'll, it's like, it's not a 17. My brother explained this to me. He's a lot smarter than me. He's in the tech industry. He has to get things right. He has, I can be compelling. He has to be factually correct, which I appreciate. He's like, look, there is no such thing as anything more than a 12 hour time difference

anywhere on earth. That's the most it can be. If it's a 17 hour time difference, that's just accounting for the arbitrary international date line, which is man made. Human made. True. Really, the difference that our body feels is the seven hours. Right now it's 230 local time here. That means in America, it's 9.30 p.m. Now, you're a day behind, but that, does that even matter? No. What I feel is I'm behind you, not in front of you. And seven hours? It's not that much. It's not that much. I mean, England is eight hours ahead. My dad, my dad is 80 years old. He went to Bordeaux last week. He flew in coach. He flew to Amsterdam, changed planes in the same day. Got to Bordeaux. I call him, I'm like, dad, how you doing? He's like, what? What do you mean? I'm fine. Doing great, pumped. And you're telling me that Christian, the cafe, he's going to be, no, he's fine.

It's seven hours. What my dad did, what my dad did, was more aggressive than what the Niners are doing. His flight was 12 hours. So the Niners had an extra 12 hours with a change of flights. And I will say that having, I flew in essentially business class, they call it premium plus, which is nice. It was good enough. Extra wide and you can recline pretty far, but not all the way. It wasn't more than enough. I felt good coming off the plane. Like, I think it's easier to do a 16 hour flight in business class. I don't even know what the lay flat seats would be like. And a six hour flight and straight up coach, because they make coach in such a way where you really can't fall asleep. Like, you can go back this far and then your neck hurts. But on business class, you can go back this far. You can actually sleep. I'm just saying, my dad pulled it off. And I'm supposed to weep for the 49ers because Australia's 16 hours away. No, I think they got a little too, a little worried.

I mean, I think they freaked out and they overprepared and the Rams are like, now maybe the, maybe a cool story of the 90s ended up beating the Rams and they pointed to this and like, well, we just took the game more seriously than you. And this is what you didn't even, you didn't even try to grow the brand. And this is the football gods and the Australian gods punishing you. But I don't know if life works that way. If there is true justice in the football cosmic universe, then the 90s will win this game. But does, does life work that way? Is there cosmic justice? Is there a, a, an inherent morality structure in the universe that, or do we impose that as human beings? Now I'm getting real philosophical for you. Brian Henderson says, do you think flurry crushes and burns week one? I mean, it's not like the Seahawks were really good week one last year with Clint Kubeyaku, then became a head coach. So I wouldn't be surprised if he struggled all about crashing burn. Jason in Japan says, why haven't they called Leonard Floyd yet?

Maybe they did. Maybe Leonard's like, uh, go to Australia for a week and then maybe get cut. How about no? How about no? Is it possible that teams, and that's another reason you probably shouldn't have come to Australia week before. What if people get hurt and you need to sign new people? Well, you, you got to like, hope they want to actually fly out to Australia. It's a long flight, as Christian said, how would Lamberti have been received in Lowell's time? Dude, I'd love to know what Ira would have said to that man. Oh, he would have been ex communicated from the beat, dude. You can't be a homer like that. Mr. Cut force is the time differences also irrelevant because the game is being played as though it's a regular US 5 30 PM time. Um, can you rock up and stay on US time so your body thinks it's a regular game? I don't know. I mean, it seems like the Rams are going to have to wake up really early to still feel like

it's a 5 30 game. I don't know, but it does seem kind of kind of interesting, right? Like you worked so hard to get on Australia time so that you could give yourself a 10 30 body clock game, not ideal, but none of this is. And again, maybe maybe the best reason to pick the Niners in this game is that it's a fluky week one game across the globe and the best team isn't necessarily going to win. I think that's probably the best. If you're going to pick the Niners, that's probably what you would say. Team, they're relatively healthy. You know, are they as good as the Rams on paper? Clearly not, but funny things happen week one. Okay, now it's prize picks time. Again, in Australia, I can't make the prize picks, but I can show you past prize picks that I have made. Some really good stuff. Hold on. Open. Let's go open. How about this one? 100 bucks to win a thousand. Christian McCaffrey receiving yards more than 36 and a half. I think that's easy.

That's a gimmie. Devon say Adams less than 52 and a half receiving yards. I think he's kind of like their Mike Evans. 52 and a half yards. That's like four catches against Ronaldo Green. I don't know if he's going to do all that. Brock pretty more than four and a half rushing yards. He says he wants to run more. I think he needs to run. I think he's going to be flushed out of the pocket a whole lot. Day John's dribbling more than 33 and a half receiving yards. I'm picking the more on stripling. I know he hasn't played a real game yet. I just feel like everyone else on this offense is old and needs to be managed on a pitch count. Like Kittle pitch count. Evans pitch count. McCaffrey will be on a pitch count. He should be. He won't be. But he should be. And then there's stripling who won't be. Freaking shouldn't be on a pitch count. And then Mike Evans less than 47 and a half receiving yards. Easy. I mean, that's how I feel about this team. Download the prize picks app. Use code HMA new users play five bucks and get 150 in lineups if you win.

All right. Thank you, prize picks. Bold predictions for the season. Starting with Day John's dribbling. I believe Day John's dribbling will lead this team in receiving yards. Last year, it was McCaffrey. And that is definitely a feather in his cap. I was trying to find a phrase that wasn't a cliche, but whatever. Good for him. But it does speak well of the offense when you have to use your running back as your number one receiver. Guys average in nine yards of catch. He's catching passes behind the line of scrimmage. Can't be your number one receiver. That's that's an offense that people aren't scared of. Could you be your number two? Number three, a short, but should be your number one guy. I don't think Mike Evans can be that guy at this stage in his career. I don't think George Kiel can be that guy at this stage in his career. So I think I'm going with the young guy. I think it'll be the last man standing. I think he'll play the most games of the I could be wrong. I mean, Ricky Pearceau was young and durable and college and then he came here and it all fell apart. So who knows? Maybe this is a substation situation, but I'm going with the young guy.

I think Desion Stribling will lead the Niners in receiving yard. Maybe not catches. But I can see an average in 17, 15, 16, 17 yards of catches. I suppose a Christian is going to average like eight, nine yards of catch. So Stribling leading the team in receiving yards. Bold prediction number one, two. The player who will lead the team in sacks. Will not be Nick Bosa. I'm out on the Nick Bosa experience in 2026. It hasn't gotten off to a good start. And I don't think they're saving him for a week. One will be just perfectly fine. I think we're they're telling us without telling us that he's not perfectly fine. So the guy who will lead the team in and and Ket uh, sacks this year. Osa Odigi Zua. And I think you'll have like six. I think once again, the nine is going to have a real problem rushing the quarterback. But I think he'll have a good year. It's just that he's a defensive tackle. And there's only some I don't even have 11 sacks. But whatever he has, I think he will lead the team.

I think Jaden Dugger will end up playing more snaps, more games, more and just more than Drake Greenlaw. I mean, Drake Greenlaw is an interesting story. They gave up on him. They brought him back. And he was so important for them when he was here. He was like the heart and soul of the defense. One or really seemed upset that they let him go. He's back and he was just not a story in training camp. No one talked about him. No one had much to say. And I think there's a reason why. Cause he hasn't really shown that he's Greenlaw anymore. And I don't think really anyone expects him to have a vintage 2022 2023 Greenlaw season. I think those days are over. That's why I think they're so are they high on Dugger? Or they just talking them up? I think they're they're talking them up because they know he has potential. That maybe Greenlaw doesn't have anymore. So I think Dugger is going to take his spot pretty quickly. Greenlaw play on first and second down. Will he play on third down? I don't know what kind of cover cover guy he'll be anymore. I remember Navarra Bowman similar player when he tours Achilles, he could not stop or change directions.

And he was just horrendous and covers and then I got rid of him fairly quickly. I think team finishes below 500 and I think they lose week one. I just think too many other other players. They need Trent Williams, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle. Like Evans, Nick Boasa. To all say healthy. And Greenlaw. Boasa Greenlaw, Trent, Christian, Kittle, Evans. Otherwise, it's like, hey, Dejan, Mr. Rookie, can you carry us this year? And then I wanted to pick the Niners to win this game, but until I actually see Nick Boasa practice back-to-back days, I'm having a tough time finding a reason to do it. It's like, they're going to bring Aaron Donald. They're going to bring Miles Garrett. They're going to play. The Niners are going to have a tough time creating a pocket, running the ball. It just seems like their defense would have to really force some turnovers,

are they really going to do that in their first game under him or is, I don't know, maybe. Sorry, those predictions are kind of depressing. How about like a good prediction? I think Brock Pertie has a pro bowl season. I think Brock Pertie has a hell of a season. 30 touchdowns. Let's say like 11 or 12 picks, almost a 3-1 ratio, 4,000 yards, 16 games, Millie misses one, maybe, maybe, miss nine. How's the hell of a season? You know, he's spreading it around, struggling, Debow, all kind of, I just think the defense is going to struggle. I don't have high expectations for Nick Boça. He's done absolutely nothing this off season that tells me he's going to bounce back quickly or be himself ever again or this year. I mean, he's 29. So that's what I'm thinking. Both Pertie, hell of a year, struggling hell of a year. I think the run game's going to be really good. It could be a top five because it's not just McCaffery. It's also Caleb Black. It's also Jordan James. It's also Debow Samuel.

But 8-9. How about this? What I've learned about Australia in the three days I've been here. I've told you a bunch about Australia, but it's been like three days. So let me just give you a little rundown. So a lot of people talk about the coffee I had it. I've been having it since I got here. It's great. It's great. They have two things that they are like known for. And you can order anywhere. And it's called the Long Black Paws and the flat white, the flaccid white. I don't know why these coffee names are so sexual, but hey, they're only, I mean, the drinks themselves are really good. The flat white is kind of like a latte with less foam. And Long Black is an Americana, like a double Americana. They don't have half and half out here. And they think we're stupid for putting half and half an hour. They just give you the Long Black, you know. Black and it's good. Or they'll give you the flat white.

And it's a little, you know, it's a little easier. It's a little more approachable, not as hot. But I'm lactose intolerant. So I get a little bit farty and bloaty if I have too much of that. Milk. What's that from Zoolander? I get farty and bloaty. Okay, urinals in Australia. They're an adventure. You essentially stand on a grate and you urinate onto a wall. And the urine drops down the wall and goes under your feet as you're standing on the grate. And people are standing next to you. I don't know. I didn't love it. I would give it a two stars. At least it was functional. But, you know, I get a little privacy. I'd like to not stand directly over the drain. But candlesticks, troughs were very similar.

You weren't standing on the trough. It's the standing on it. It's not, I mean, who hasn't? You know, urinated on a wall or whatever. That's part of being a man, but standing on top. That's just, I got my shoes on. What if there's spray back? These are things that I think about. I wonder if Australians think about them too. The tram. You know, I like a good train. Well, they have a free tram here. Kind of like Muni, kind of like the VTA in San Jose. It just takes all around town for free. I love it. Now, a subways a little bit better because there's like, you know, not like the mercy of stoplights, but which this is. But still, it's quite generous. I love a city that has trains because it's California. California really sucks with. You know, it's a, it's a newer area in the world. And it's such a car culture, which is fine. But like, what about public transportation that the government pays for and invests for the people? I love that.

So, shout out to the Melbourne and their tram. I don't love walking around the city. I mean, it's a very walkable city, but you will die. I mean, because the pedestrian is supposed to have the right away here, but he doesn't. So many times, I'll be like walking into the street into the crosswalk, fucking crosswalk, and a car will come whipping around and then like stop really abruptly, like, I'm the asshole. And then I'll back up like and do some like passive aggressive America stuff like after you, which if you do that in America, the driver would be so mortified like, no, no, no, I understand. You have the right away. No, after you. And then you'd be like, it's okay. It's okay. Fucking jerk. It's okay. No, because I'm a sensitive understanding guy. Fucking asshole. Yeah, that's right. No, it's cool. It's cool. You know how California is all right? No, it's fine. Fucking asshole. It's fine. So I'm like, here, go ahead and they're like, yeah, thanks. Fucking jerk. pedestrian jerk. They look at you like, what do you think? I'm driving here. I have somewhere to go.

Scary. Also, they drive on the wrong side of the road. So like when you're in America, since like the three years old and your parents teach you how to like drive, you know, walk around and not die, they're like, you look both ways before you cross the street. Left, right? Left. Right. Left. Not here. Not here. It's right left. Right. And I'm not used to that, man. So hopefully I make it through this entire trip without getting hit by a car. Seriously. But I think I'm getting better at it. I just wish they would be, I have really Australians are hell of nice. But then when they get behind the wheel of a car, they're like Europeans. Because that's what Europeans are like. They will run you the fuck down, pardon my French. This happened to me in Paris speaking of French people. I was 18. I love this story. I was 18. And I was with a couple of my friends. We were doing like the Euro trip. That cliche thing. It was fun though. And I had a couple of drinks because you know, you could drink in Europe when you're 18. So I, maybe I wasn't as, you know,

dialed it as I should have been. So I just step into, I'm thinking it's, you know, going to walk into a crosswalk and I'll be okay. Someone just drives through the crosswalk as I'm walking it and honks me, accelerates through the crosswalk. You know, in those little dicking European cars, those little, those little half cars that are so not cool, you can't be getting that. I'm like, hold on. You almost kill me and you haunt me. So, you know, I'm a little buzz and I'm 18. And I'm an American. So I'm like, what the hell? Thinking like, okay, he's going to drive off and I'm going to feel at least like, you know, tough. This dude slams on the brakes. His girlfriend's in the front seat or wife. He's like 50. I'm 18. Slams on the brakes, double parks, walks over to me, gets in my face and says, what'd you say? So you know what I said? Nothing. Nothing. I didn't say nothing. And he said, that's what I thought. In English and walked out and his girlfriend like,

gave him a kiss. And he came out looking great. It wasn't enough that he almost killed an 18 year old foreigner. He had to completely emasculate him in front of his friends, my friends and his girlfriend. What the f***, dude? Parasians. Austrians are not on that level. That's a whole different level of dickotude. Dickishness. That's not Austrians at all. But I've, you know, I've always remembered that. If you're in Paris, be careful. Because they will run you down and then get out of their car and look at you and be like, what were you thinking? Why'd you do that? Why'd you make me kill you like that? Why'd you make me kill you like that? Try to tell you, you ain't got the right away here, baby. I think pedestrians having the right away is a good thing. Just in general. Like, if I was in Austrians and I was driving, I'd be like, yo, go ahead, buddy. Go ahead. But that's just me because I'm a great person. And I'm selfless. And I'm never in a rush. All right, got one more thing I want to, wait a hold on a second.

This is not as important, but it's important to me. So I'm going to talk about it. And I can't show you the team on the screen because it has a questionable team name, which is private. But I will talk about who's on my team. So I drafted a fantasy football team today. I'm in a dynasty league as you guys know, which is I won last year. Jesse Nailers in the league, Marco Martinez, Senille Soreal, gay, ton day. I miss pronounced that. This is with my friend Kevin Ruma from from high school. My one of my best friends, probably my best friend. We golf together all the time. He's the commissioner of this league. And I got here by team quarterback. I wanted pretty, but Kevin took him. So I got who I like to call evil pretty. Jackson Dart. He did you know that Jackson Dart ran for nine touchdowns in 500 yards last year? True story. So I got Jackson Dart just because of the upside because of the rushing. But I also got Jared Goff. Just in case Dart sucks or gets hurt.

Running back, I got B. John Robinson at the second pick. No brainer. Next running back, I took Giderian price. I mean, he's going to start. He's a good player. Is he going to catch passes? I don't know. That was a bit of a reach. That was I think my fifth round pick, but he's going to start. And I also got Zach Sharbinay late. So I that was sort of my idea there. Like, okay, get both of those guys. So I have Sharbinay, but he's also he's on IR for me. My wide receivers are Nico Collins and Chris Olave. I mean, they're not really in great offices with great quarterbacks, but they are definitely number one receivers who produce when they're healthy. Last year, I had freaking Terry McCloren and Ricky Peersol. Those are my starting wide receivers. I fucking stunk in this in this league last year. So I think a little bit better there. Tied in is Tyler Warren. He's also my tight in my dynasty league. He's like the number one receiver on the Colts. And when Daniel Jones is healthy, Daniel Jones goes to him a lot. So I like Tyler Warren. I think he should be even better this year.

My flex is Jaylen Warren, who isn't the sexiest wide receiver in the league. But I mean, running back in the league, but he catches a lot of passes. Aaron Rogers doesn't want to get Zach because he's 49. So he's kind of checked down and Jaylen Warren 58 million times this year. I like that. My defense is Minnesota. And my bench is Michael Wilson, the wide receiver for the Cardinals. Jacori Croskey Merritt, the running back for the commanders. Day John's struggling with wide receiver for the for the Niners, Jared Goff. Zach Charbonne and Debo Samuel. Yes, I took Debo Samuel. Okay. Yes, I'm down on Debo Samuel. No, I wouldn't want one of my actual team, but on fantasy team. Yes, he was my last pick. I could have taken a kicker. But instead, I'm moving Charbonne to the IR. I'm going to pick up a kicker. And I'm going to have Debo just because I feel like Kyle Sandahan can resist. And I just don't believe in Kittle or Evans this year. Those guys went before I took Stribling. And to me, I'm thinking, I get it. But at the same time, I don't. Because what do you really think Kittle is going to have juice this year and play a but like most

I don't think him or Evans are really going to have any juice. Whereas we know Stribling has, you know, 100% freshly squeezed juice. So I like, I got Stribling. I got Collins. I got a Lava. I got Michael Wilson. And I think I'm pretty good at wide receiver. The question is always running back. Beech on Robinson, Jadarian Price, Croskey Merit, Jalen Warren, Zach Charbonne. I'm not, I kind of like my team. I think it's better than last year when I had freaking Jalen Hertz and Derek Henry. And guy, that team suck. So that's what that's my team. We can, you know, if you guys care, follow along with me. Nathan Bobbick says, did you miss the substation here in Melbourne? No, do you guys have those here? I haven't seen one. Baby Radiance says, did Thompson, Jr. practice? I don't know. Sorry, I was looking for Bosa. We're not agreeing to it though. Nathan Bobbick says, Melbourne Coffee Special is a magic. Double Rosetto with a bit of steam milk, basically a pre-workout, hard attack, got to try it while you're here.

Okay, I'll get a magic. I've had the long white, the long black. Ain't no such thing as the long white, right? Kidding. Because Gojiro Von Jink says, get some, go get some killer coffee beans at Wool's Worth. Apparently fantastic coffee. Take some home. It's apparently fantastic. Dude, if I try to take some coffee home, they will tas me on the planter. You can't bring stuff through customs or can you? I don't know. Massabee says, has anyone recognized you? The, uh, the Australian media people did. And I agreed to like, I said, yes, about four different people that I would let them interview me. I got to go do that right now. So, I want to maybe Kyle and the player, maybe the players are talking right now. I wanted to stream. They gave me this, this room here. It's like a, a, a, a staff lounge room. It was so cute. I went up to one of the people here in America. They're like, you know, they're always telling you no. But Australians are way nicer.

So I'm like, hey, you know, I'm looking for a place to stream. I don't want to bother the other writers. Is there anywhere? And they're like, oh, who are you working for? I'm like sports illustrated. I'll come there like, oh, right this way. Like that, the say sports illustrated was like the key to the, it's hilarious. They were so accommodating. Also, here's another thing I learned about Australia. And I've, it kills me. They really are very trusting here. Like, for example, I'm saying at this hotel, let's say you go down to the bar and you get a long black and a, and a, and a ham and cheese croissant, which is what I had for breakfast. They'll say, do you want to charge it or put it on your room? So I say, let's put it on my room. In America, what would they do? Okay, what's your room number and what's your name? In Australia, they say, what's your room number?

I mean, I'm not sure. Theoretically, I could be some jerk off the street who goes up there and starts charging ships to other people's rooms. But they don't do that in Australia. In America, we would just assume that people would do that every day because we're awful people. Apparently in Australia, everyone trusts each other and doesn't do heinous, awful things. So I said, you know, this is my name, this is my, I'm not going to say what it is, but this is my room number and they're like, oh, grant count. What if I just said some other room number? They'd be like, oh, Phil Smith? Yeah, that's me, Phil Smith. I just love a trusting culture because California, we don't trust anyone in California. Dude, I can't leave a damn thing in my car when I, when I, when I park. I drive around with my doors locked automatically. We haven't trusted anyone in California since 1987 and I wasn't even born in 87. That's how long it's been. And in Australia, there's still trusting people out here.

What a quaint idea. Trust exists on this continent. It's quaint, man. I can't believe it. What room number am I? You don't even want to validate that? All right. Cool. Thank you. Not that I have anything to hide or I'm trying to get over on someone. I'm just like, I'm just used to having to like every time, how about this? Every time I go to work with the Niners, I have to show my ID and go through a metal detector because who, who, I could be anyone? Out here, they're like, we know you, I guess. You've been here three days. You gotta, you gotta name and a face. We trust you. I love that. I want to be in more places where people trust each other, man. It makes me feel good about the world. I haven't heard not one thing about Bips in Australia. Do they do bipping out here or is it just beneath them? Anyway, it's three.

I told people I need to go. I was going to do interviews with them and explain who I am and what not. So I'm going to do that. Thanks for watching. It's what? 10 o'clock at night. I got 2700 people watching. Thank you. Thank you. Tomorrow morning. Well, tomorrow afternoon for you, I'm going to do a stream with my dad. So that's probably be like two o'clock. Two-ish. Yeah. Two o'clock. I'll be back. Take care.
