All happy baby Friday, everybody.
My goodness with good weather on the horizon.
Some would say smoking hot weather on the horizon coming up in a few days.
But baseball getting ever closer,
nighters making moves for Bruins, no less.
Bring on about time, dude.
It's been too long.
We can talk about OSA.
Are you ready?
Odiggy Zua.
Odiggy Zua, it's kind of fun to say.
When he was playing for years earlier, I would just say OSA.
I would, I would not.
But now I'm going, I'm going all in.
Now that he's a nine or Odiggy Zua,
we'll get into it.
And Vinny Pasquantino with the legendary line.
You're welcome, USA,
because after we spent all day yesterday,
killing Mark Dorosa for the colossal blunder.
They leave the back door open.
You can leave the door open.
And Mark Dorosa sneaks through the back patio,
hoping nobody notices that he crashes the quarter final party.
USA, Canada, Friday.
My only question, Marcus, will Jack Hughes be in red, white, and blue cleats for Fridays?
My only question is, who are Derek Poppins?
Him, what were you looking for in that game?
So good morning, brother.
Happy Thursday, feeling good.
You said San Francisco was in good form yesterday.
Oh, yes, beautiful weather in the city,
but Murf, yes, you're right.
Here comes the team USA to the quarter finals.
And here comes Osa.
Yeah.
Can't wait to get Greg Popp back into booth,
shout out my guy, G-Pop, dropping a couple.
Here comes Osa.
As opposed, so we're going Bosa and Osa?
Yeah, it's Bosa and Osa.
You just got to drop the bean.
You got Osa.
Until you just said that, I hadn't even thought about that.
Oh, yeah, here comes Bosa.
Here comes Osa.
Bosa and Osa.
I was so focused on pronouncing the last name.
I forgot.
Here comes Osa.
Here comes Osa.
What does it say?
Joint Sack.
Bosa.
Osa.
It's down goes Stafford.
It's both a Bosa and Osa.
So let's talk about it.
Third round, Jeff, fix a pretty big price to pay,
but it's also a significant player.
This seems like one of those kind of fair trades.
You know, I mean, like because the Cowboys Third Round,
although not if you believe Cowboys Twitter.
And again, Twitter, a cesspool,
gotta be careful.
Twitter is not real life.
It's just that you get into that cesspool.
There's dysentery.
There's there's fleas.
There's mosquitoes.
It ain't good.
Yeah, there might be like a Coney Island whitefish
or something like that.
Oh, dude, that's even gnarlier.
I had to throw it out there.
That's even grosser.
Those who know they know.
Yeah, it's a little too much.
It's a cesspool.
I know.
I was just staying on the dysentery.
I was just good with dysentery, diarrhea, and fleece.
You had to go Coney Island whitefish.
Anyway, so point is is that if you go into that cesspool,
careful, watch out.
Cowboys Twitter was very upset.
They love Osa.
Odigizua.
Here comes Osa.
And so they did like, what are you doing, Cowboys?
Why are you trading one of our best players?
Well, they had traded for Quinn and Williams
from the obviously the Jets signed.
And then the other Bruin Coney Clark.
They were they were stacking up in the micro Parsons.
Somebody only good UCLA football.
There's the last 15 years.
Coney Clark and Osa.
And so they had a little bit of a salad,
a little bit of a top heavy situation on the D tackle line.
God, the knives would kill for a top heavy
D tackle situation.
So here he comes.
He's an outstanding player.
There's really nothing to knock on him as a player.
I mean, you you can knock Mike Evans
for being what, too old or not enough separation
or whatever people were choosing to knock Mike Evans for,
which I wasn't buying because Mike Evans is a great player.
Osa, Diggizua is a great player.
He's a he's a really, really, really good player.
And the Niners are desperate at D tackle.
So this is an immediate fit.
You paid a third rounder.
Fair price.
What do you think?
I would say the one knock that I have heard
and I'll ask you for your opinion
because you've seen this guy play going back to his days
at UCLA that he's more known as a pass rusher
than a run defender.
So yeah, 49ers could be in a spot
where maybe they still are mixing
Alfred Collins and CJ West on early downs to stop the run.
And then maybe he's a third down player.
I don't know if he's a three down kind of defensive tackle.
But to your point, he's a guy that can get after the quarterback
and he gives him a different type of defense
tackle for this.
Yeah, they had obviously the pass rush was,
you know, we've gone through the stats a million times.
Staggeringly bad 20 total sex last in the NFL.
They were last in almost everything.
They're actually they've 31st and pressures.
Believe it or not, who was lower than them?
I don't know.
Man, I feel bad for that too.
I can't give you a total book on Osa's run stopping.
So I'll have to do a little more dive.
Yeah, but that's some of the scatter reports that I read
and heard from some of the Dallas Cowboy fans out there
that he profiles as more as a pass rusher
and a guy that gets after the quarterback
with pressures, not necessarily sack numbers.
But that's what the 49ers need.
They need to build a combination of just different pieces
to get after the quarterback
because they were so bad at it last year.
Yeah, he was number one in the NFL last year
in in detackled quarterback hits.
Number one, I mean, that's, you know,
you ain't get to give us further.
He won. He was fifth in the NFL
and pass rush win percentage.
I mean, there's just any number of stats
that show this is guy's going to fill a need that they need.
Yeah, well, CJ Weston, Al Collins
are here to play also.
Yeah. And so these guys, we talked about this.
It's so not sexy, but developed.
They're going to have to develop these players.
And those are two guys that are going to have to develop.
Those two guys are critical.
As we look, Marcus here, that they just quietly
let 2D Lyman walk yesterday just down in the fine print
of the transactions.
Khalia Davis and Robert Biel, Jr.
were just let to be unrestricted for agents.
I was looking, those are two draft picks.
That was Khalia.
And he was a sixth rounder.
But still you'd like to hit on a sixth rounder.
There's a reason why the sixth round exists.
It's not just a wasted round.
And then Robert Biel was a fifth rounder in 2023.
And both of those guys, they just let walk.
So those are two misses.
So they got to hit on Collins and West.
And those guys have to be tutored by OSA.
Yeah. Now does this maybe, I don't know.
Do you think it's a bad look for Collins and West
that they're going out and making a move like this?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
I mean, first of all, those guys didn't play that badly last year.
They weren't brilliant, but they weren't that bad.
There was promising signs.
Yeah, second of all, you need good play.
And they can do what OSA has proven to do at the NFL level from a past Russian perspective.
Now when it comes to the price tag, are you all right,
giving up a third round draft?
You know, I'm going to acknowledge it's a, it's a decent price.
I think it's a fair trade is what I think in the end.
I think, you know, as much as the Cowboys are upset to lose him,
I mean, if I might go 51, 49, 49ers, because you're getting a proven player over a third
rounder and because of the way Cowboys fans are reacting right now.
And you have him at a pretty decent number for the next two years, I believe, right?
No, I believe it through 28.
He said, hey, walk you under contract.
I had him through 2028.
Okay.
Well, sorry, bone up on his contract knowledge.
I thought this was basically a one year deal where he's going to test free agency next year.
No, I don't think so.
Okay.
I think I got a bone up on my, I got a bone up on my, uh, on my run defense here.
According to ESPN, Nick Wagner and Todd Archer, Odiki Zua is under contract through 2028.
Oh, okay.
Young Tony just told me there's an out in 2027 in his contract.
Well, that would be if the Niners, I think the Niners have an out, not him.
Okay.
Well, I'm reading right here.
It says he looks at his through 2028 with base salaries of 16.2 in 2026 and 20 million
in each of the following two seasons.
But I think the Niners have an out, not him.
So they can get out of the contract if it doesn't work out.
For some reason, he was a bum.
Okay, that's the way I'm not expecting him to be a bum.
He's a, he was always, like I said, I mean, it's been tough.
Usually football has been tough, although I gotta tell you, if you care,
I can spend 30 seconds on a digression about the reborn Bruins under Bob Chesney, bro.
Give me 30 seconds and Young Tony have that belt ready to go.
Dude, it is just orgasmic down there.
This guy, you want to talk about a honeymoon?
This guy's on like a freaking triple X honeymoon right now.
It is incredible.
Every social media post is awesome.
Every report from the practice field is 10 out of 10.
Every freaking video that they're dropping on, you see, it's like, people are
gaga for this freaking guy right now.
So Ron Rivera and you in Cal, we're coming for you September 5.
You got that done in less than 30 seconds.
I'm like, you 20 minutes and a half seconds.
I was timing it, first time in a minute.
So anyway, it's been tough down there.
And we've had very, very, very few players to enjoy in the last several years.
Osa Odigizawa is one of the few that you enjoyed.
One of the few still pro players in the NFL,
Reppin the Bruins, just like my guy Colton Miller, who got his teammate back yesterday,
wanted to slip that news in there.
And with the breaking news tweet that Max Crosby says, I'm a raider once again.
He didn't just say that.
I mean, this is such a trippy thing.
I really need to know more about this because we have this whole thing about how he wanted out.
Mark Davis wanted out.
Everybody said it was the right thing to do and they move them.
And then you get this tweet nine hours ago.
So about nine o'clock last night.
I saw it reformed a bit and I wasn't sure if it was real.
I didn't, you know, these, dude, you got to care for it.
You don't know anything that's real.
I didn't know that I didn't want to get Max fished.
Hey, nobody.
So Max Crosby posts ready for this.
Everything happens for a reason.
And then a very interesting line that may become my new t-shirt.
Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see.
Hmm.
All right.
Which half chew on that one.
Oh, he's nothing that you hear and only half of what you see.
No, he just, he knocked me for a loop.
It's like, it's Tony real.
I'm seeing Tony right there.
Is he real?
And is it like half my vision?
Do I have to cover?
And I like, is this an ode to the?
Are you wearing a thrasher?
Is there an ode to the Raiders logo?
Because it's wearing an eye patch.
So you can only see half of what you see.
That's the best thing.
I think that's what it is.
Then he writes, I'm a Raider.
Marcus the three telemax.
happiest words of Marcus's life.
And then he writes, run that ass.
I'm back, baby.
Then he writes, has a bald eagle emoji.
And a Raider emoji.
And then to cap it all off a gift of, of, as I now know, the undertake.
Yes, Murph.
Explain please.
Read it.
Knowledge by you.
Well, the undertaker is a legendary.
A Hall of Fame WFWWE wrestler had the insane streak
of never losing at WrestleMania until a couple of years ago.
And he plays the character of an undertaker
where he will pop out of caskets.
He's called the dead man.
This is the dead man rising.
And Max Crosby coming back to the silver.
I've definitely seen the gifts for the years
and I've heard about the undertaker.
But is this good?
Is this good use of a gift?
It's great use.
This is a great usage by Max Crosby
with the undertaker gift.
Everything happens for a reason.
Believe nothing you hear in half of what you say.
That's it.
Everybody listen on the radio.
Don't believe anything we say today
and only watch half of the stream.
I'm back, run that ass.
So I guess everything's good.
Everybody's not going to get traded.
Everything's great.
I don't know.
I still have the deep
has more in the back of my head.
That's something crazy.
Still could happen.
But it sounds like Max Crosby's going to be back in a
Raiders' uniform.
Has Mark Davis tweeted on this yet from
from PFC and anybody seen him at the local PFC
and local hooters.
So we had that.
And yeah, and of course the big story last night.
Team Italy.
I was in my car listening to that on the radio
about that.
That's how devoted I was to team Italy.
By the way, watch out.
They're going to win the whole thing.
Team Italy can win the whole thing.
Dude, they got some momentum going.
They're trucking flows.
They just beat the US and Mexico.
That's the bad.
They played Puerto Rico.
So just to get everybody a little before we go to break,
just a little look at the the brackets as we go in.
It's going to be fun.
It starts Friday and markets.
Can I get a beam lit in the 916?
I will light the beam because on Friday night at five o'clock,
America's hero Logan Webb at a Rockland, California
takes the baseball to face Tim Webb and Derek
Poppas, Canada, five o'clock, and Houston, Texas.
Tell those Hoosiers to get ready for Logan Webb.
How about Tim Webb now rooting against Logan Webb?
He's not like Hoosiers or Hoosiers.
Hoosiers, right?
Hoosiers.
Hoosiers.
Hoosiers.
Sorry, I was getting confused.
Who's supposed to be in the end?
Who would be in the end?
Who would be in the end?
Who would be in the end?
I was getting confused trying to set up my riff on Tim Webb,
not just turning his back on his country,
but also his family member, Logan Webb.
Very good.
Webb on one point.
Have you ever investigated any
I don't think there is any connection.
I know that Tim Webb will wear his Logan Webb basketball jersey.
Well, because one guy is a is a premier athlete
who's at the top of his game who performs
in incredibly high pressure situations
where everything's on him and all that he relies on
and he's guts, his guile, his talent, and his cojones.
And the other guy is Tim Webb.
Yeah, there you go.
Yeah, the guy's Tim Webb.
Perfectly said.
Perfectly said.
Now it's the thin Tim mistake of the day.
Man, you know that voice guy is no longer with us.
He's dropping those up in the in the great beyond.
The other quarter finals.
How about this Korea Dominican Republic?
Uh-oh, Jung who's going up against the bad flippers.
Has that bad come down yet?
No, no, I think that Tati's bad is going
longer than the ball.
Has the sound from Soto's home run
reverberated in the in the galaxy?
My god, some of the loudest,
most insane scenes you'll ever see.
That games in Miami, Florida.
Jung who Lee may quiet the Dominican machine.
That game is also on Friday.
And is it almost on concurrently actually?
Actually, no, wait, let me go through this again.
Korea Dominican 3 30 Friday,
US Canada 5 o'clock Friday.
And then Saturday are the next four.
How about this Italy or Puerto Rico?
Do they want any part of Italy right now?
No, no.
That's 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Stay away from the pass watch.
Pretty good game.
Show Hey, Otoni against Luis Arise.
Japan, Venezuela, Saturday night, six o'clock.
Luis Arise a couple of nice knocks yesterday too.
I'll just say the US,
if they win would probably play the Dominican Republic in the
semis, that's if Jung who Lee can't get it done.
Yeah, right now, DR is the favorite to win the World Baseball Classic.
Oh, Vegas favorite?
Well, I know yesterday going into the final games of group play,
I think because of the potential of USA being eliminated,
they went up on the odds.
I'll have to double check again this morning to see
if they change it all now that USA has advanced.
But yeah, DR, they've got one of the most stacked teams
in the entire tournament.
Yeah, and Mark Doroso just enters the party
through the back door.
He's like, hey, when'd you get here?
He's like, come here, I've been here all along.
Just trying to act all nonchalant.
Yeah, oh, you're here at the quarter final party.
Pass Quentin.
Passquatch probably called him out.
Yo, dude, you coming through the back door there?
Yeah.
Hey, when you're in the kitchen, grab me a beer.
Yeah, huh?
Who do you know here?
Who do you know at this party?
All right, should be fun.
All right, and all that said,
Steph Curry's out for five more games.
Oh, great.
Bro, can't wait.
Can I just one word reaction?
Bro, this is tough.
This is, by the way, that road trip's coming up too.
Bomber.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bombered.
This sucks, man.
Yeah, absolutely sucks.
Yeah, dude.
They play Minnesota Friday.
Enjoy everybody.
Enjoy.
All right, it's Thursday, March 12, 2026.
We'll get the guest list from young Tony.
Believe only nothing of what was it?
Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see?
Only half, Murph.
Okay, that's today's mantra on these sports later.
You're welcome, USA.
Where's the f***ing Y?
Every day, excessive delays and denials from big insurers
keep patients from accessing the care they need.
And when care is urgent, these delays can be disastrous.
These practices cost billions in wasteful spending,
driving up costs for American families.
But while big insurers put up barriers,
America's hospitals and health systems are in your corner,
navigating endless reviews and appeals
to get you the care you need when you need it most.
It's time to curb these harmful practices
and put the focus back on patients.

The 49ers completed a trade to acquire defensive tackle.
Osa Adigizua from the Dallas Cowboys.
He's a fifth year defensive tackle.
I talked on this podcast up.
Coming as a little bit surprised,
the 49ers did not even tender Kalea Davis
as a defensive tackle after he started every game
for them last season.
Well, now we know why the four years acquire
a really high quality defensive tackle
from the Dallas Cowboys.
He's a fifth year pro, 17 sacks in his career.
He's a pretty good pass rusher,
but also a rundown defender as well.
44 tackles last season in his career.
34 behind the line of scrimmage.
So he can penetrate and get make plays
in the in the backfield as well.
The unmistakable voice of Matt Meyoko,
of course, on his podcast as the news was breaking
right then and there that the very talented D tackle.
Osa Adigizua is traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the 49ers.
Those nine or cowboy trades we talk about
the Tray Lance trade, the Charles Haley trade,
the Osa Adigizua trade.
And by the way, what did OG Murph learn today
is already in the books.
The Max Crosby line believe half of what you see
and none of what you hear.
I was like, huh, wow, what's that all about?
And overnight Dave Texas and dude,
freaking heard it through the grapevine.
You just heard Marvin Gaye say son believe half of what you see
and none of what you hear.
And I had forgotten that.
I mean, that's just a lyric that had gone in my brain and out.
So I looked it up and actually his dates
all the way back to Edgar Allen freaking pole.
He's the first guy credited for saying believe
half of what you see and none of what you hear
it's supposed to be encouraging skepticism.
Now I'm very skeptic.
Thank you Max Crosby.
Look at that.
And because Murph, you know that I've been accused
for multiple years on this very morning show
of sending out subliminal messages.
Waterboy, stop sending subliminal.
Are do you hear that sound?
Oh, we got into the system.
Waterboy out here sending subliminal messages.
Was this Max Crosby sending a subliminal message
to the Baltimore Ravens using an Edgar Allen pole quote?
Now that's what you call,
what do you guys call it? Subtweeting?
Yeah, that's a sub tweet.
So I would be surprised
if Crosby knew that it went back to Poe
because it took a wiki search by me.
But, hey, believe half of what you see
and none of what you hear.
Now look, wait, half of what you hear
and none of what you see.
Now would you be more surprised
if Max Crosby knew that this quote
went back to Edgar Allen pole
or were you more surprised
that I actually knew that Edgar Allen pole
existed and had a poem called the Raven.
That is quite surprised.
I must say.
Thank you.
You know what?
That's what you do, but are you surprised?
I'll give myself a round of applause on that one.
As surprising as Max Crosby going back to the Raiders.
Oh, waterboard.
That boon subliminal.
Rowan subliminal.
Waterboard.
Throw it.
Throw it.
That's the key.
Throw it.
I'm out here.
Throwing subliminal messages.
Stop throwing subliminal stuff.
Waterboard.
That boon subliminal.
God, that's a great sound.
It's so freaking good.
Stop throwing subliminals.
Anyway, my bad.
I did not know that that is a common phrase.
Believe half of what you see
and none of what you hear
or wait a minute.
So, so, let me go this again.
Or did he?
Did he mess up on the question?
Well, I, I don't know.
It's like a rule.
And so mark, maybe Marvin Gaye
screwed it up.
He said, believe half of what you see
and yeah, yeah, that's what he said.
Believe half of what you see
and none of what you hear.
Nothing.
Because half of what,
so I'm looking at Tony.
I only believe half of him being there.
Anyway, yes, it was credited to Edgar Allen Poe.
Quote the Raven.
Never more.
Time for me to make my daily
ancient reference, the sitcom Cheers.
In which they opened up a Halloween episode
where Frazier was reciting the poem The Raven.
Everybody was just sitting there
listening wrapped in dead silence.
And in the scene starts with
Frazier going, Quote the Raven.
Never more.
And then everybody goes,
Oh, that was incredible.
Great read.
And Frazier says that was Poe.
And coach was wiping the gray.
He goes, don't be modest.
It was terrific.
So nobody.
It was terrific.
There's your cheers joke for the day.
Young told us go.
Let's get the guest list going on a
Thursday, March 12, 2026.
Sponsored by Elcerino Honda more
than just a car dealership.
We are family.
We got to get going, young tone.
And I believe in half of what I see.
Yeah, I see you.
I only believe half of you.
By the way, speaking of Cheers,
Maddie Mayoko was just in Boston.
He did nice,
a nice little video just walking into the bar.
You know, Maddie Mayoko,
a great follow on Instagram.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Showing videos at St. Mary's in Maraga.
Surprise.
You knew about this Cheers thing.
Well, I do because of this very show.
There it is.
Yeah, there it is, buddy.
I'm trying to go by that Cheers bar.
When I was in Boston, but it was closed,
not a late night bar.
I guess it's more of like an actual tourist spot.
Yeah, Mayoko's an afternoon thing.
All right, Tony got.
All right.
We have Todd Archer coming up at 630.
He covers the Cowboys for ESPN.
So stay tuned.
We're going to get some Cowboys sockets 630.
And Osa and Osa, a Diggie Zua,
our new favorite player on the night.
Say that again.
Osa O Diggie Zua.
I like the way you say it.
O Diggie Zua.
I've heard his name by a bunch of announcers.
I've always been watching.
I mean, the Cowboys are always on.
It's kind of fun to say, actually.
Yeah.
O Diggie Zua.
I did not know he was using UCLA.
Zua.
Well, now you do.
How you do?
Now I do.
All right, Andy McCullough coming up at 650.
Talk a little WBC.
We got some good games coming up this weekend.
Mike Kruco is going to be on at 730.
Cooler content, 830.
And then speaking of Maddie Mayoko,
he's going to join the show at 850 this morning.
Great.
Well, let's get into Todd Archer.
For a long time, Cowboys Rider will tell us what's going on.
Who are the Niners getting in Osa, O Diggie Zua?
Why did the Cowboys make this trade?
How did the Cowboys feel about getting the third rounder?

gets us Marvin Gaye rejoins all day, I'm all in.
Make it a Marvin Gaye Thursday, buddy.
Make it a Marvin Gaye Thursday.
We just won.
We just won.
We just won Thursday, by the way.
All right, Todd Archer knows what he's talking about.
Sky's been covering the Cowboys in the NFL for a long, long time.
And at ESPN.com, he and Nick Wagner
wrote about the big trade of Osa, O Diggie Zua,
the outstanding Cowboys D tackle to the 49ers for a third round pick.
How did this trade go down?
Why did it go down?
Let's talk about it.
Todd, welcome to the Merfin Marcus show.
Brian Murphy, Marcus Boucher, 49er flagship out here in San Francisco.
How are you doing this fine Thursday, Todd?
Hey, Morning Todd.
Doing all right.
How are you guys?
We're good, man.
We're good.
We're, uh, we're, you know, intrigued.
The Niners needed D-line help and they got a good one.
We think, uh, I went to UCLA.
I watched them play.
I liked them there.
I think Cowboys fans liked him in Dallas.
Tell us about Osa, O Diggie Zua as a Cowboy.
How did he play?
Yeah, it was a good player for the five years he was here.
You know, did he benefit some from having
a mic apartions for a little bit of that one?
Yes, he did.
They all did.
But he was a guy was, was there every Sunday?
I don't know if he missed a game in his career now.
I'm thinking of it.
And, you know, 12 months ago,
the Cowboys gave him a $20 million a year contract
and he did as a cornerstone piece to their defense.
What changed, the scheme changed.
And they didn't view him as a fit
the way that obviously they picked them.
Quinted Williams last year.
They picked up Kenny Clark.
So they decided to move on from him.
He was in on the Max Crosby Talks when the Cowboys were involved
with the Raiders in that deal.
And they, they got a third round pick that they didn't have.
From last year's trade for George Picking.
So this is probably the best outcome the Cowboys could have expected.
And it's a good start for, or a good restart for OSA to go out there
in a scheme that he will have familiarity with.
Todd, you mentioned that the 49ers are sending to Dallas Cowboys a third round draft pick.
So how do you feel about the draft compensation for OSA?
Well, you always want more, right?
If you're a Cowboys fan, you're thinking you're trading one of your best players.
If you want more, but I think it's fair.
Like I said, the Cowboys didn't have that third round pick.
They don't have a second round pick either.
So they were trying to get as many picks as they could.
They're in the top 100 with this one.
And it gives them some, the ability to move around.
If they want to go up with one of those first round picks,
or to go down and maybe accumulate some more picks.
So they're in a decent position for what they can do on the draft.
The problem for the Cowboys is what they've not done yet in
for agency. They have no linebackers.
Well, they have some linebackers.
They don't have enough linebackers, I guess.
It's a better way of saying it.
They need cornerback help, and they still need edge rusher health.
So even with the Richon Gary trade, they still need edge rusher health.
So this is probably a trade of convenience for the Cowboys.
When you factor in, they had Kenny Clark.
They had Quentin Williams.
You can't have three 20 million dollar defensive tackles
into three four schemes.
It's kind of funny.
I mean, the Cowboys, an overload of detacles is something
the 49ers can only dream of.
It's such an empty cupboard.
So this is a huge pickup for the 49ers to stock some talent on that long.
Alongside some young guys like Mike Williams and CJ West and Alfred Collins.
So they all drafted last year, which leads me to also Diggy Zua,
the kind of the veteran.
You know, the Niners signed Mike Evans earlier in the free agency period.
And he said, well, he's going to mentor these young receivers.
Is Odiggi Zua also that kind of presence in the locker room?
Like, how was his character slash team guy reputation?
Oh, great.
Yeah.
I mean, he was voted a team captain last year.
First time that he handled that role.
He's not a like hugely raw, raw kind of guy.
But he is the guy who is going to work his butt off every single day.
And if a young guys are smart, they look at him and they follow him.
And they do it.
He does that.
That's how I would say he leads more than like I said,
being the guy who's going to be the out front emotional leader.
Now when when when March on Neelan tragedy passed away,
midway through the season.
Also was one of the guys that kind of galvanized the team.
He was the guy that made sure he brought out the March on Neelan flag
to to the game back into the locker room after the game made sure the jersey was on the
the bench or outside the bench.
So he is a very much a team guy.
And you know, Brian Trottenheimer talked about building a great culture and wanted
wanted to have that kind of feeling inside the locker room.
And also was one of the big parts of that.
Odiggi Zua profiles more of a past rushing defensive tackle.
Todd, what can you tell us about his all-around game?
Is this a guy that can play all three downs and can contribute in the run game as well?
Yeah, he's not out it was funny when I was reading Nick's story and he was talking about
or the story we wrote.
But we're reading Nick's part of it with the stats.
I'm also I'm like, I guess he is a past rushing defensive tackle because I've viewed him more
as like an overall guy and look, he's not the biggest dude in the world.
But he's a solid 285 pounds or whatever they lift him at.
Yeah, 285.
You know, but he's not a plugger type defensive guy.
But that's not what you got that's not what that scheme is about anyway.
He can play he's definitely a three-down guy.
You probably need to though it's monitor his maps and make sure he's not playing 80
80% of the snacks all the time.
He's probably a guy who's better in that 70 75 range and making sure he's fresh for a full game.
Pretty good stuff from Todd Archer who knows what he's talking about and covering the Cowboys
for a long time for ESPN.com and the 49ers trade a third round pick to the Dallas Cowboys for
OSA of Diggie Zua filling a big need Dallas gets a pick they needed back.
Todd though, you know, around the league beyond this move the Max Crosby Raven story is the big,
big one and the Cowboys sort of play a somewhat tangential role in that.
I just wanted to get whatever you had on that like a, you know, from what you heard,
how serious were the Cowboys in on the original trade sort of be wasn't their team doctor
somehow involved in the MRI could you straighten that out if you know and then see the,
the possibility of the Cowboys getting back in.
I'll go in reverse order it doesn't sound like the Cowboys are going to get back into a Max Crosby deal.
I think everybody that reached out to them after that trade fell apart got the same text back
and said they will not be re-engaging. Everybody had the same word so everybody was reaching out
to the same person which is kind of funny when you think about it. So I would be surprised that
they would go to go there. Yes, Dr. Cooper was involved in the, in the process of examining
the MRI and things like that. One of the most renowned knee specialists in the NFL probably in
worldwide with all the people that come to him from various sports to get their knees fixed.
So he was involved. I would, I would guess the Cowboys would know what Dr. Cooper thinks of
where that knee is and what the process is. And then what was the first part? Oh yes, they were,
they were involved in that trade. There are probably some people at the star who thought they
were going to land Max Crosby a week ago with what the Cowboys offered. They offered their first
round pick number 12. Oh, Diggy Zoo was involved in that trade. And, and I think the sweetener was
their second round pick that they appeared to be pretty of been willing to give up. So the,
the Raiders took two first round picks as opposed to the package the Cowboys had.
If that trade did go down with the Cowboys, I don't think you would have seen the Cowboys back
off and had a failed physical designation. Interesting. Now they weren't, I apologize.
It wasn't designated a failed physical, but I don't think you would have seen the Cowboys back
off the trade. So last question on the Max Crosby situation. He tweeted out last night.
Everything happens for a reason. I'm a Raider. I'm back. Is the Max Crosby trade saga over or
there's so more storylines to be determined? I guess nothing's over until it's over, right? And,
you know, he's saying all those things. And another deal too is while he, he spent a lot of his time
growing up in Michigan, he went to high school here and played football. So, you know,
kind of would have been a homecoming, a source form, but it certainly seems like
it's, no one is jumping back. All the teams that you thought would have been interested.
It doesn't seem like anybody's jumping back into this thing to rekindle the talk. So,
I'll say Max Crosby will be a Raider and then you look at who they've had and also,
you're thinking, boy, maybe the Raiders might be okay. Yeah.
They're just a huge step up from what they've been in the last decade or whatever it's been.
Yeah. A few decades. Yeah, 20 years ago on the team of the decades and they've been the team
of the decades for the wrong reasons last year. It's just not the last two.
Uh, I guess just in the end, just because we have you online, we might as well get a little quick
NFC East hit. I mean, the Eagles have been, you know, the team. I know that rotating door at
the NFC East champions. Is there a belief right now that I don't know. The Eagles are sort of,
I don't want to say stalling out. They're still a great team. But they haven't,
they've lost a couple guys, you know, the cowboys have just seemed to not ever get where they need
to go. But going into 2026, is that the belief that the cowboys become the lead horse in the NFC East
and the Eagles run? Or am I sleeping on John Harbaugh's New York Giants and Brandon Hayukes
Washington commanders, maybe. And they move in now. You could tie them to go with the watch.
I still think I've put the Eagles number one, even if they've lost guys, you know,
especially the other guys on defense that they lost on the first day there. So, but I would still put
them at number one. I would say the cowboys will be two. And then whoever you want to say, I want,
you know, with watching them, it depends, hey, where's their quarterback coming back in the injury?
What kind of skill help them to give him? And the Giants, I still think they had so far to go.
And everybody's excited about Jackson Dart. I got you. But what they went for games last year.
So they're still, they still had to climb up a mountain. I think they've gotten better.
They think Washington's gotten better. Cowboys kind of the same. At the moment, let's see if they
add anybody through trades or anything like that or get a deal done with your worth pick and
pre-up some more money. But I still think right now you'd have to put the Eagles at number one in
the division. But I don't know if they three peat. I wouldn't walk it in as a three peat in the
NFC. But I don't think we'll see another 20 year run where there was a different winner every
single year. All right. Good stuff, Todd. We appreciate the the feedback on OSA. And we will
continue to read you on ESPN.com. And thanks for coming on. Yeah. Thanks, Todd. Thanks a lot.
Appreciate it, fellas. Yeah. Todd Archer does a good job covering the cowboys. Listen, I feel the same
way now at 642 that I did at 6 AM. And when I heard the trade last night, like, I've always liked
this guy. And you know, I told you guys, I go back to college with him. So I've always liked him,
always thought he was a great player. Always was, you know, upset that he became a cowboy watched
him play well in the NFL. Niners got a really good player who's still young and and contractually
in a pretty good deal. Now what did they give up? They give him a third round pick. You know,
third round pick is a significant pick. I mean, if you insert John Lynch joke here about the third
round, right? You know what I mean? Like, maybe it's better than he was never third round. You
was just going to waste it on a run back anyways. There it is. There's it is. I said, I said,
insert and I inserted it. You did. Very good. So I mean, listen, I like, I mean, you know,
what's not to like is some people, you know, kind of, you kind of got to strain to hate. Listen,
Mike Evans. I'm sorry. Mike Evans is a great freaking player and is going to play very well for
the 49ers, barring some hamstring injury. I'm not planning on. And also DeGizawa is a really good,
these are character guys. The Niners are, you hear about this now from all the beat writers that
you talk to and stuff that the Niners are big on character that they will not like Jalen Carter,
for example, has come up the Eagles guy and he's known to be a little bit of a, a little bit
of a mouth content. Yeah. He's had his issues even before getting to the end. Yeah. So I mean,
like with the Niners go for a Jalen Carter, you'd think no, I mean, they've had great lockers.
Some people say the reason why they went 12 and five last year with all the injuries,
excuse me, young tone fog or in time. Could be because they're locker room culture.
Could have been other reasons too. Yes.
The singer board was updated by our corporate team. So I don't have it on the board anymore.
There it is. You know what? When in doubt, blame corporate. I like that. Literally what I was told.
I agree. Blame corporate all the time. All the time. I took corporate to stay with my soundboard.
Corporate hole. Yeah. Corporate hole. Don't get me started with that guy.
The name of creative. He was creative Tony's fantasy team.
Mr. Was corporate holder. Yes. It was. All right. So that was good. Good breakdown.
All right. Thank you. That was a misfire. I'm also blaming the corporate team.
We'll talk to Matt Meowke more about this train at 850. But the other big story was Mark Dorosa
sneaking through the back door. You had a party and then I was saying, hey,
somebody coming into the kitchen. Oh, yeah. It's Mark Dorosa. How do you get in here?
Dude, sneaking in. He's probably stealing a beer on his way through the kitchen, too.
On his way. Oh, no, I've been here all along. Team USA sneaks through the back door to the quarter
finals. And we'll talk about it with Andy McCullough. Great baseball writer for the athletic.
He's covering the WBC next on these sports. Listen to V sports leader anytime anywhere.

Roserata hits it hard. Fisher throws across ballgame. Italy,
foreign home, into the quarter finals. And Mexico has been eliminated.
You're welcome, USA. We were thinking of you guys over at your hotel. We were thinking of you guys.
So I'm glad you guys could join us in the party. So when you get back to your phone, Vinnie,
what's that text message you're going to say from Bobby Whit Jr. I'm hoping he's got a room key
for me at his hotel. That's what I'm hoping for. That is fun stuff, Vinnie Pasquantino.
Pasquantino. Not one, not two, three. He went full Pablo sand of all. Three home runs in a
world baseball classic. Young Tony, I heard you there, buddy. You started playing that
boom, boom, Italianos song. I said, in his ear, what happened to Marvin Gaye Thursday?
Rebus. Ain't no mountain to thank you, buddy. This all started because of the max cross between
believe half of what you see and none of what you hear heard it through the grapevine. And I said,
damn, make it to Marvin Gaye Thursday. Why not? All right. Well, listen, Vinnie Pasquantino and
team Italy, nobody's having more fun. The Dominicans are jealous of the Italians, I think,
right now. So let's talk about it with Andy McCullough, the outstanding baseball writer for the
athletic Andy. Welcome back to the back. It's we had John before here on KMBR, the Merphin
Market Show, Brian Murphy, Marcus Boucher, Giants flagship in San Francisco. How are you doing, Andy?
Good morning, Andy. Wow. How are you guys? We're good, man. We're really enjoying this
world baseball classic. I know those of you who do this for a living have watched it evolve,
right? Since what was it? Oh, seven was the first one. Oh, six oh seven, where I think it was
finding its way. And I don't know, Andy, is this this thing is fully arriving this week? Is it,
or am I my premature here? I mean, I remember I was covering the adopters back in 2017 when
Adrian DeValas was the captain of Team Mexico, you know, said it was like they want this thing
to be the World Cup, but it's not even the Little League World Series. And it's really like
leveled up. I mean, I think, you know, the tournament last time around 2023, especially
Shohei Otani striking out Mike Traut and it was like such a great moment. And yeah, it's a fun,
you know, it's a fun tournament. It's been a lot of great moments and some teams even know the rules.
Yeah. And Andy, I guess let's jump off there and get to Team USA. How bad of a look? Was it that
Mark Dorosa and apparently the entire roster and organization everybody involved with Team USA
did not know the tie breaker rules going into the last nice game? Yeah. I mean, you know,
quite embarrassing. Obviously, you know, they were bailed out, you know, by Vinnie Pascon between
Baskin Tino and the rest of, you know, T Italy, you know, still, Team USA like has a really good
chance to win this whole thing and kind of, you know, get past that embarrassment. But I do think,
you know, it demonstrates sort of one of the signature sort of issues with the tournament right
now is that, you know, a lot of the other countries take this more seriously than Team USA, you know,
and I think that, you know, Team USA is kind of trying to like out-talent their way through that.
And they might be able to do it. But yeah, it was definitely like the manager not being totally
sure of like what it would take to advance is, is problematic at it. That's not like why they lost
that game, you know, I don't really like bashing Bobby with Junior for Gunner Henderson is like not
an egregious sort of decision. It's just more speaks to kind of the, you know, lack of attention
to detail that, you know, it's frustrating for a lot of American baseball fans.
Andy McCullough, the athleticist here, you have some interesting stuff there about how it
maybe means more to other countries than us. In my impression was that this was the year we
were supposed to really care, Aaron Judge, Paul Schienz, you know, on down. Is it your belief,
like, is USA now getting to that Dominican Japan level? Or do you still think there's a ways to
go before USA cares about it as much as they do? Yeah, I think there's definitely ways to go. And
that's not like, you know, I don't think that's like a problem for American baseball. It's just not,
you know, it's like, it's not like a character flaw, I would say. It's just not something that
the people, you know, guys who play baseball in this country are like accustomed to doing in the
way they're like, there's no, you know, there's the winter leagues in the Caribbean, you know,
which sort of bring countries together. Obviously, Samurai, Japan has great pride in what they're doing.
Whereas, you know, contrast like, if you ask, you know, Latino players, how they feel about this,
versus you have a team USA with Tarek's school will sort of say, like, oh, I thought this is kind
of going to be like an all-star game. Bryce Harper's like, yeah, this is nothing compared to the Olympics.
Like, it's just clear those teams care a little bit more. Now, like, is that going to make a
difference? Like, it's not like the two USA's not trying when they're out there. They're obviously
playing as hard as they can, but I think it's not as important within American baseball culture
as it is for some of these other countries. Yeah, good stuff. Andy McCullough has the voice
you hear. You'll listen to Cambier. I am in Cambier FM San Francisco. These sports leaders
accumulate media station marks. Yeah, and Andy, I'm glad you brought up that quote for Bryce Harper
talking about the Olympics and him saying the WBC is great, but it's not the Olympics. Well,
baseball is going to be back in the Olympics in 2028. Do you think the momentum that Major League
baseball right is seen right now and the WBC is enough to maybe let them let Major League
baseball players actually play in the Olympics down in LA in 2028? Yeah, I suspect that that
will happen. I think that's something that both the players and, you know, the commissioners
always wants. So yeah, I think that that that will be something that happens in 2028.
Oh, pretty darn exciting for sure. Okay, back to a little bit on team USA in terms of the roster
construction, et cetera. So Logan Webb goes tonight, right? What error should say Friday night?
It's kind of sort of a small potato's question, but is there a pitch count on him Friday night also?
That's a good question. I don't actually know what the rules are. Here's a problem with the WBC.
We don't know the rules. I think it's up to 95. Oh, is it? Yeah, I think 95's right. I know it's
65 for the first, the pool play. I thought it was either 85 or 95. Okay, so a little bit. Yeah, I mean,
you know, five, five innings, six innings and then Logan Webb works quick. He could finish a game
in 95, but yeah, it's, it's a, it's a pretty decent leash for this time of year. So theoretically,
if US wins this game and they don't have to, I mean, Canada's got players for sure, but they get
to the semis and that's when Mark D'Aroso would fire the, the Paul Schien's bullet and not in the
gold medal game. What do you know about that? The pitch, I've read where Nolan McClain, who is obviously
an incredible prospect, but got touched up a little bit by Italy would pitch in a, in a potential
gold medal match. What do you know? And what do you think of that whole setup? Yeah, I mean, I think
they would, they would set up to have Paul Schien's face, you know, the winner of South Korea and
the Dominican Republic in the semi-final. Like you can't get to the final without winning the semi-final.
The Dominican Republic has the best offense in the tournament. So you would want Paul Schien's
your best pitcher to face them. You know, I mean, you'd have Nolan McClain blind up for,
who's ever on the other side of the bracket, you know, with Puerto Rico, Italy, Venezuela, or of
course, Japan. Andy, what was your reaction to the way the school situation played out?
I think it was a bit surprising that there sort of hadn't been, it hadn't been sort of
like, gained out in a variety of ways where, you know, if he was like, where he was told basically
like, hey, just so you know, like if you leave early, that's totally fine. But like, here's
how it's going to play, you know, with some fans or like, here's what, you know, the sort of
questions people will ask and like, are you sure that this is kind of how you want to make it work?
Like he's like totally within his rights to, you know, do one start and go, you don't have to,
you know, participate in the WDC at all. But it just, it does look a little strange to show up,
face great Britain and be like, all right, I got to go back to camp, you know, I need to be ready
for opening day. You know, it kind of speaks to again, you know, I don't want to say like,
lack of seriousness because everyone there is like, trying, you know, as hard as possible and all
that stuff. But it's just the, it is not as sort of life changing of an event for the American
players as it is for some of these other countries. Maybe that will, we'll change in time and maybe,
you know, the experience like school will had with this will sort of alter how players approach
this, you know, in the next go around. But I just, I just, I just think it was just kind of like,
weird. It was like, wait, no, it's your going for only one. And now you're not sure if you want to,
you know, stay or leave, like, what, you know, do you think about this before you signed up? Like,
that sort of stuff, right? But yeah, I think like, definitely, I don't think like, you really
need to be criticized all that much. It just sort of, it seemed like you just kind of hadn't
gained it out, I guess. Yeah, it wasn't odd. Like, not the best look in the world for him.
Excuse me. I see where Sandy Alcantara of the Dominican said, like, he's going to give us all,
I'm here for my country. And, you know, school was like, yeah, I'm out. So you're right. That gets
to that cultural thing, which is my next question for you, Andy, about this. One of the big sort of
sub themes or main themes of this is the cultural display. The Dominicans are clearly, obviously,
the most emotive and joyous team out there. The US almost takes pride in being red asses
old school spikes high. And I point to the Cal Raleigh, you know, not going to shake hands.
Will Smith, I think also didn't do it, right? Correct. And so it kind of leads to, like,
this is a seminal moment. There's a young generation. If you talk to the kids, maybe in your
own household, man, dad, why is the US so boring? And the other teams are more fun.
Is this discussion coming to the fore in press boxes and in dugouts or am I overstating it?
I mean, this discussion has been going on for years and years and years. I mean,
it's as essentially as, you know, Latin American players specifically have been punished
less for just sort of expressing themselves on the field. You kind of seen it. Like, that,
the culture there is, you know, far more exuberant. It's far more joyous.
Frankly, like, a lot of people say it's a lot more fun to watch where a sort of American
baseball culture tends to reward, like, sort of a business like stoicism. And, you know, like,
like, you should, they should play baseball however you want to play it. Like, I don't think, like,
Cal Raleigh is in the wrong for not wanting to shake hands with Randi Rosarena. If he wants to be
serious, like, that's totally fine. You know, the perils of that is, you know, sometimes your
teammate might curse you out in a variety of ways that was way more prodigious than I think anyone
expected, but like, that's the, you know, sort of the downside risk of, you know, being a hard ass.
So, yeah, like, I just think, you know, American baseball culture is much more buttoned up,
you know, players are encouraged and not really, you know, beat themselves until they've established
themselves as star players, whereas in, you know, Latin America, guys are, you know, trying to enjoy
the fact that they're playing a kid's game at the highest level. Yeah. And Andy, I think you see
the difference in baseball cultures, not just with the players on the field, but the actual crowd
in the locations. And I thought USA and Mexico had a great crowd the other night, but nothing
in comparison to what we're seeing at the Tokyo Dome out in Japan and obviously what we're seeing now
down in the DR. So with that being said, has the world baseball classic given any thoughts maybe
hosting a gold medal match in an international location? Yeah, I mean, there's definitely like a
thought about it. But at the end of the day, like, Major League Baseball is an American, you know,
sort of business. And they want the ideas for them to get America, you know, in the final American
fans, you know, American attention, all that sort of stuff. They're kind of co-opting these
other cultures in order to, you know, make this a spectacle on American television. And so,
yeah, well, you'll be cool to do this in, you know, like Roger Center or whatever, Mexico City.
But it doesn't, like Miami kind of works pretty well for this. You know, they've done that as the
center, the location of the finals, the last couple times. I think it's, you know, it's the proximity
to Latin America. It makes it easier for fans from there to get there. Miami obviously has,
you know, a ton of big Latino community. And so, yeah, I just, like, they've talked about it,
but it just doesn't make a ton of sense. Like, where would you put it? They would make a better
environment. I guess in the Dominican theoretically. But I just, I don't know if that's kind of what
they're gaming for. Well, you want to talk about home field advantage, man. Put that thing in
in Santa Domingo. You're a two touch down underdog before the first pitch, man. And before
it lets you go just about baseball, because you cover the great sport of baseball and you do such
great job for the athletic, Olivia, but Tony Vitelo is the story out here in San Francisco.
And I would imagine even at someplace like the world baseball classic people are talking about it.
It's such a huge sea change for the industry. What have you heard either on or off the record
about what people truly think about a college coach becoming an MLB manager, particularly a guy
who was very exuberant himself at Tennessee. What have you, what have you heard in the back
channels in the dugouts? I don't know. I mean, we'll just see if, you know, the team is any good.
Like, I don't think this was as big of a, I mean, I guess it's like a shock as no one really had
heard of the guy. But, you know, managers have come from sort of odd places before. And like,
it's not like he was coaching, you know, squash or something at, you know, at the University of
Tennessee. Like he was, he was coaching baseball. It's obviously, you know, especially FCC
baseball in the NIL era has played at a really high level. You know, I think he's had kind of an
interesting spring. There was a whole weird thing where he started talking about, you know,
the timing of taking the job, which I think kind of confounded a lot of people on the outside. But,
you know, I don't know. I don't know if it's going to be much of a difference maker kind of
their way in that division, given the amount of, you know, talent on the giant roster.
Right. Okay. I should find it because Andy Bagley had a comment saying that he hurt, he thinks
there's people rooting for him to fail in Major League Baseball. I mean, there's always
people rooting for other people to fail. Yeah. If you're like, yeah, if you are someone who's
coaching in the minor leagues and this random guy from colleges gets a job, it annoys you.
But like, I think that that's kind of ubiquitous for, you know, pretty much everyone in the sport
in a variety of ways. Everyone in the sport is people they don't like, you know, except for like,
I don't know, don't really just like Shoei Otani. I guess it's different Giants fans and everyone
out there watches them, you know, destroy their teams, you know, every week. Actually, you know,
it's funny. I would have said before yesterday morning, I thought most people liked Mark Dorosa.
He's a very agreeable fun, dude. Yeah. I've never seen Dero who was played here in 2010. And
he was, you know, barely, he kind of was on this 2010 World Series team. He got injured,
but he was on the team, but everybody loved him. Wasn't he kind of universally beloved?
And now he's kind of wearing a fake nose and glasses around town. Yeah. I mean, here's the thing,
you know, one thing I will say about Mark Dorosa and the job he's done with Team USA is like,
you know, a big part of what he has to do that managers for other teams don't have to do is
recruit. Like he has to convince guys to play. And I think, you know, that's kind of,
it's a credit to him and the work that he has done over the last two iterations, you know, of
the tournament that he has gotten big time stars like Aaron Judge, you know, like Paul Skins,
like Bryce Harper, all these guys to commit to playing with Team USA in a way that, you know,
it kind of worked in the other iterations of the tournament. Now, like, it was obviously like
super embarrassing kind of the other night when they just seemed pretty clear that they were not
aware of like the technicalities of the rules. But like the reason this team, you know,
has a chance is because they disembowed all these awesome players. And you know, Dorosa is a big
reason for that. Last one, Andy, is how much are you buying into Team Italy? They just beat USA
in Mexico. Pasquantino is a is a is a lights out show. They're playing Puerto Rico, who's good,
but not unbeatable. Sure. Is this Miracle on ice? Italian style. Miracle on ice. Yeah. Yeah.
I give them credit for being like, hey, it's a nice tournament shot here. It's a real shame
that something happens to it. Yeah. It was like, if they win, if they win the WBC or they're
going to go to the White House, like all these guys are American. I know. I know. Exactly.
No, I mean, it's fun. Like, look, I, you know, the vibes are very good with them. You know,
Pasquantino is like a legit, you know, not, not quite a star, but could be a star. You know,
they have a lot of, you know, solid, you know, like sort of players, you know, they've been hurt,
but they lost Kyle Teal. That's a real problem. They lost Miles, you know, Mosterbone,
even had some injuries recently. But like, yeah, they can, the things with WC is like kind of the
pitching gets wonky really quickly. Like, once you get, you know, kind of beyond the starter for
a lot of teams, because there's just not a lot of relievers outside of, you know, a couple teams.
And so they have enough, you know, guys who can swing the bat, but yeah, they could, it would not
shock me if they, if they wanted all. Yeah, you're right. And they're all American. It's very
funny. All right, Andy. Hey, great conversation. We love reading you in the athletic. Thanks for
hopping on with Murphy and Marcus and enjoy the rest of the tournament. Yeah, thanks, Andy.
Yeah, no problem. Thanks for having me. Yeah, that was enjoyable. Great line. By the way, nice
tournament you got here. Be shame if something happened. Oh, I like that. All right. Yes,
sir. And just real quick clarifications before we get to break Logan Webb will have a pitch count
of 80 pitches. It's 80 pitches in the quarterfinals, 95 in the semi-final and finals.
So skeensy. So skeens can get 95 and 75. The boring Paul schemes. No or a Paul schemes.
No or a Paul schemes. Tell that to Livy, right? All right. Hey, since we're on the baseball tip,
and Mike Cruco is going to join us at 730. Our big hit, of course, will be the 49er trade,
OSA, Odigy Zoo, and what you all think about the 49ers off season so far. But the Mike Cruco
prep, we've kind of taken our eye off the giants because of the WBC. And because DeRosa has been
making it easy for us to take our eye off the giant and half the giant's rosters playing in the WBC.
Yeah. But you know, let's check in because we're under two weeks, bro. It is 13 days away from
the KMBR roundtable at 58 social and 15 days away from you and me doing the traditional
morning show at 58 social. Come on by everybody. 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. That's wide open.
Admissions free. Grab a beer. Don't cost nothing. Actually, that's what Belushi said in
animal house, but they will charge you 58 social. It will cost something. Grab a vibe. Don't cost
you. See, see, this is why Max Crosby said, believe nothing you hear on the half of what you see.
It's a Marvin Gaye Thursday after all. So Bryce Eldridge, where are we at? Let's get into that
with Cruco coming up at 730 on these ports later.
