They have absolutely won over the entire city. This is a Rams game. Australia is supposed to be the Rams district. They've put in work over the last few years with a few different trips and clinics,

The enthusiasm that the players have shown, the fact that they've complemented the city, they've been out and about, they've done things, the executives have been here, given time to kids. There's a real feel that San Francisco, even though they weren't obligated to, decided to come out and give of themselves to Melbourne and Australia, whereas the thought is that even though the Rams are the home team, this is more of just a business trip for them. And then I watched them at a walk through at Melbourne, they're yucking it up and they had this look of like, look at us. Our travel plan is better. And I was like, you know what? I want to beat you. I want to beat you. I want to beat you. The Rams have never like made my blood boil the way other teams do like USC or the Dodgers, right? Because of their move to St. Louis. It robbed us of a great rivalry. You know, it was really good in the 80s and in the 70s when the Rams pounded the Niners in the 70s and then it was awesome to own them in the 80s and then they left. And they were gone. And then they won a bowl in St. Louis, the greatest showenter. Cam is a good team and shout out to Calisoges, don't dick for meal for under the program. So when they came back, I was kind of like, well, yeah, so I haven't, but I got to say seeing them this morning on my algorithm. I was like, yeah, like you guys see, I'm a little surprised by that take initially because we've talked about this topic before in the 49ers biggest rivals.

8:10Is it the Seahawks? Is it the Rams? Is it the Cowboys? And I would say your generation, AKA the Blooms generation definitely sides more with the Rams being the 49ers bigger rival. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, the Austin play the next was since 20, you know, since the 2011 the Harbock Carol years. So it's about 15 years now. It's about 15 years. Don't get me wrong. I mean, like I'm telling you, the Rams still pissed me off. You know, you can have multiple rivals like the Raiders, for example, I got a bunch of rivals, you know, everybody, depending on what day you're talking to overnight Dave, he either wants the patriots to just be destroyed off the face of the earth or the Steelers to be destroyed off the face of the earth or the Broncos to be destroyed on the face of the earth or the Chiefs to be destroyed off the face of the earth. Don't forget about the chargers. You can have multiple rivals and the Rams are a rival. So are the Cowboys, obviously, because all the playoff history with against the Cowboys. But yeah, there's something about McVay, they've won four of the last five. They're the darlings and they're trying to, I don't know, they had a look coming off the

9:12plane like they, I don't like it like their S don't stay. Yeah, they need the working down there. George Kiddles doing the tribute to the Australian rules football legend who's fighting an illness. So this, this one just means more. Yeah, I need it. And I understand where you're coming from from the 40 on our perspective, but also from the Rams perspective, they believe that they do have the better travel plan. And that's kind of how we all as fans who grew up listening to, literally listening to the games on the radio and fans that still do. And then watching the games every night on television as well, you don't think they're ever going to leave. I don't know, man, and you know, Larry, you say 30, 35 years in the booth, it goes back, they wore the uniform longer than that back in the 80s. Yeah. So I mean, I have, I mean, I have, yeah. So we're all going to go through this and yeah, go ahead. It's hard. And it's hard to do. It's, you know, that, I mean, you think about how hard it is to, and how special and how unusual it is for two players who played for your franchise for a bunch of years. And those were important years, right? When we came back in 87 and won the division and then the World Series in 89, you know, those are big years in giant history and to have them span, you know, wearing the uniform

20:33and then going behind the booth and being, you know, it's a very best of their craft, hall of fame worthy. It's, it's, it'll be forever, forever with us. Very much so. I'm curious whether or not they're going to be on a pitch count tonight and how their bodies are going to react to a being in Australia and be getting back on the field after skipping most of training camp and the joint practices and the preseason game. Like we saw a few injuries in the game last night and I'm not saying that's because Sam Darnell wasn't in football shape or AJ Brown wasn't in football shape, but we know that there's a big difference between being in shape and being in football shape. So that's my question is how long of a leash is George Kiddell and Nick Bosa and those guys going to get today. And how are they going to react to that Rams defense that acquired Miles Geerth. This also man. Oh man, it's going to be wise. So there's scary stuff here that the Rams are going for the last five against the 49ers and the one the four NARS won was I don't want to say they stole it that they kind of stole it down there in LA. They kind of got outplayed, but Mac Jones made enough plays in Alfred Collins who's won't be playing in this game. Knock the ball out of Kyron Williams's hand. So the NARS listen, they won the game and it was a road game kind of not really a road

28:45game in LA. So but last then then Rams came up here to Levi's and kind of ran him out of the gym. Yeah. That's for the last matchup was not really close, but obviously a lot different when you don't have Nick Bosa and Fred Warner on the field. So that should make a huge difference. And really to me, I think the biggest X factor in this matchup week one and beyond might be Rahim Morris because we talked so much about Kyle Shanahan versus Sean McVey and the offensive masterminds. Well, guess what? For two defensive coordinators that actually have to game plan for Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVey and Rahim Morris, of course, with his background being a former defensive coordinator for McVey with the Rams. He knows that system pretty damn well. So I'm curious to see how he disguises his looks, how he makes things more complicated from Matthew Stafford because we talk about it all the time about how Matthew Stafford gets the ball out quicker than anybody else in the National Football League. So will Rahim throw in some disguises, give him some different looks, send some more blitz, try to create some instant pressure maybe up the middle.

29:47You got to make Matthew Stafford uncomfortable because when he's comfortable, he's one of the best footballs and he's one of the best quarterbacks in football. Yeah. Other angles too. I got my hat on. Run the damn ball. Will the 49ers be able to run the ball? Christian McAfry last year's average charge per carry was down. You know, and whether that was the O-line or whether that was Christian McAfry slowing down a half a step. You hate to even say that because the guy you see the guy with this tarps off, he looks amazing, right? Yeah. Also, he led the NFL in total touches last year. And overall was the number one fantasy player across the board. That's including quarterback scores. So you can't really say he lost a step, but he did not have those explosive plays that we've seen previous. He's your target in his career. Yeah. Yeah, his career was down undeniably. So where does Kale on Blackman? Can Kyle finally fall in love with a backup running back? Well, last year was Brian Robinson. I like the move at the time. He was okay. He was like a C plus kind of as a backup didn't turn out to be the game changing backup you wanted. Kale on Black could be that guy. I mean, Kale on Black, finally looks at one of those guys other teams have had. You know, when I watch other teams, I'm like, man, where that guy come from?

30:49Like, for example, the guy last night for the C-Ox, the Syrian price, although he didn't get too loose, but a couple times he burst and he burst and looked pretty good. Well, you're in Williams in for the Rams, et cetera. What do you expect? Jeremiah loves going to be for Arizona. Yeah, I was going to say, but you look at that combination of Kyron Williams and Blake Korb, who's a phenomenal backup running back could probably be a starter on most teams. I don't know if the 49ers want to commit to that full one two punch. It's also hard to get Christian McCaffrey just to come off the damn field. He never takes himself off. So I don't think it's going to be as a split backfield like we've seen over the last couple of years with David Montgomery and Jermir Gibbs out with the Detroit Lions, but you've got to figure out a way to kind of lighten that workload for Christian McCaffrey. 808 KMBR is the phone number, give curly a call. It's like we did, they did get the win with him at LAN last year. I'm hoping with if he can neutralize him a little bit, we can put some pressure on him. Maybe get an interception or two. I know we aren't, you know, the biggest interception team. But the high powered offense, I definitely feel like it's going to be like a horse race.

Like last year, we all saw the battle of the Linus Grimidge beat loss against the Rams and the Seahawks. Now with the Alfred Collins injury, with the Sammy O injury, that definitely takes off some of the depth on this defensive line. So they might need to throw more bodies out there so that they can't stuff the run on first and second down. And then maybe you get Matthew Stafford in a third and long situation where he does have to hold on to the ball for longer than two seconds. Yeah, God, listen, Brady made a point about the Niners and Interceptions. And they're not, I mean, it was watching the game last night. And it was just to see how, even though they were missing a couple DBS, including Nick M. and War, it was out last night.

38:09Just their guys, their corners cover, they just cover better. Yeah. Like the play where AJ Brown got hurt was blanket covered from the corner and that the first interception Drake made through down the field wasn't necessarily an obvious interception. It was a play made by a DB who went up and tipped it up in the air and had a safety help that made a pick. That's the kind of thing. Niners DB's just haven't been doing it last few years, but it could be different this year with Rahim Morris. Like think about how many different quotes we've gotten from Dmo and Renardo Green and up in style about how they think the backfield of this defense. Is going to be better because of Rahim and his background working with DBS. Maybe that's a slight difference. They also brought in a guy like Jack Jones, who was a ball hawk earlier in his career. Maybe they get more turnovers and also if they could just create more pressure, we know that the front seven connects to the back of the defense. I'm expecting to see him a lot on third down tonight. I mean, the idea of getting pressure on Stafford's crazy, but it also involves coverage on the back end. And that's where the 49ers we just talking about their corners have just, you know, the San Ronaldo green and will it be a Dima Lenore, obviously, and you know, up in stout. These are the guys who are Johnny on the spot. Can those guys hold their coverage long of against the Pukka Nakuas of the world and the Devante Adamses of the world? So it is a daunting challenge, but that's an interesting point because the Bears defense was not good last year. Remember, it was terrible. Nice one. That last regular season game at Levi's that Sunday nighter that the Murphy family was at was just an absolute march up and down the field for both teams. That's a game that was. Yes. And so the nineers, I mean, the Bears figured out how to stop them. The Rams won their first playoff game at Carolina 34 to 31.

45:27Stafford in that game, 24 or 42, three touchdowns only got sacked once, but the Bears got to them. The Bears got to them. And by the way, interceptions, he just doesn't throw them in the postseason here. I'm looking here. I don't have his passing interceptions here. So I'll figure that out. Yeah. And that's the reason one of the big reasons why he was the league MVP last year. And maybe the 49ers need that type of performance from Brock Pertie who was able to beat the Bears last year in that match we were talking about. But one thing we really haven't talked about Brock didn't play against the Rams last year. Matt Jones has two starts. Now this is Brock Pertie entering year five. I'm curious to see how he takes it to the next level. We went through our quarterback charts this offseason. We both had him ranked as a top 10 quarterback. Most people around the league do not view him as a top 10 quarterback. And if Brock Pertie is able to take that next step with Mike Evans and Desjohn Striblin, who knows?
