Dear listeners,
Today, I’d like to share a Lithuanian folktale whose roots reach far back into the past—long before the Lithuanian language was ever written down.
Eglė Žalčių Karalienė is a story of sorcery, unexpected love, and involuntary betrayal. Passed down orally for generations, this tale is rich in mythology and life lessons. It remains one of the most powerful and symbolic stories in Lithuanian folklore and offers a meaningful listening experience for anyone interested in Lithuania, its culture, and its language.
For a more comfortable and enjoyable listening experience, I recommend turning on subtitles.
