Should have been at least maybe a goal up in that period we're all dominating and you know how it is when you don't score when you're dominating. It's it can hurt you later. So then we went down one nil and in the second half and then we're pushing pushing for the equalizer and we we got it in the 90th minute. Extra time came. We couldn't know on home if we get a goal and then it went to penalties. So the dreaded penalty shootout and yeah I took one but yeah we still end up losing the score. Give yourself a little wrap there. Nicely taken. Yeah, it's nice. Keep going the other way. So quite comfortable. But yeah after that it was disappointing but quite proud of the team. You know it was a good effort and there's got a lot of young boys there in the team that have really really stepped up in this season and I feel like the clubs moving in the right

2:09direction on and off the pitch. So it was good. Indeed. I'll tell you what, someone who can probably relate to that but in the reverse. After this week Newcastle's win over Spurs after being played off the park in the first half but not considered. Obviously having Bruno is good with a happy candidate assist. But I did take the VC on Harlan. So I did lock in the 20 points. The right decision I think despite the outcome on that one. But yeah, it looked pretty happy. Season ranks sitting at 1200. So yeah, all the trades are in the bank at the moment but probably won't be after we finish talking. No, I tend to agree. Maddie, how did you sit? I forgot you're 168 and around 2500 overall rank. Not too bad.

3:16Yeah, not too bad. Always behind Nicol as usual. I'm just going to try and catch him. But yeah, no, it's the same thing as him. I think I had to say the VC points with Harlan's. You do want to tell that risk, especially with how me and I started the season in the first game. So waking up after the main out of game and seeing that score from Bruno was quite surprising. But yeah, quite happy to have him in my team. So yeah, quite a good score and a couple of other players scored a right for me as well. The Chelsea assets and not many other ones to be honest. So he's like scored 12 for me as well. So by as a few options, I'm looking at trading in and potentially even at boost. So I'm all set. Any questions about your goalkeeper? You went outside the square, you had Allison and let's just say wasn't best week. Is that fair to say? Yeah, he's on the chopping block. Minus five making keeper trades. Yeah, I would have thought

4:23using a first trade on the keeper, but yeah, there's money to be made there and I think I think the whole assets they're looking very nice at the moment. Yeah, we'll see how long that lasts. They're one of interest, but I actually want to start before we get to hull and sort of all these massive break-evens that have got around the place. We've got the resident Newcastle expert on the pods tonight. So let's tap into him. Nico, what have you made of everything that's happened there? Because it was such a weird offseason for Newcastle losing more players than they would have liked. Then you've got these guys who were at the club didn't perform well last year. I've made themselves really good super coach options with two good scores in the first week in a longer whissa. And you can even put the new sign in the defender. I'm a dead itch. Is number three most traded in this week? How are you feeling about all of them as options and Newcastle as a whole? Yeah, a bit of a manager favourite, a dead itch. So he's worked

5:25in the past and he's come straight in and done a job. He's looked really good attacking to assist already. I do think we were a bit lucky against Spurs. So only two shots on target and scored two goals. So that didn't get a last forever. So yeah, look, I think I've actually got a bone to pick with you, Molchie. Because you talked me out of this up when I was on the preview pod with you boys. You were very adamant. You wasn't a good pick and you were nagging me in the in the back of my mind and I went private instead. But that's okay. The Newcastle assets are all cheap. They're on top of the the fixture ticker for the most easiest fixtures for probably for like for the next eight to ten weeks. So yeah, they're right at the very top. So it makes them very interesting assets. I just I don't know. We'll see. But yeah, I think maybe could be a little bit of a false kind of baritale start. I'll see you in the episode. But

6:31for those diving in with the very low breakout, and so all this makes some money with them. Yeah, I think that's it. It's trading them with a purpose, right? He's knowing that this is not going to be an asset that's probably going to take you all the way. I stand by that fist at take. If he'd taken every opportunity that had come his way over the first two weeks, it would be actually a head at a lot higher. I don't think he's looked in incredibly sharp form, but he's got a goal. He's got an assist against Liverpool and Tottenham. So, you know, the proofs in the pudding there. I'm going to say I was unlucky rather than wrong. Then you would say that if you were me, Maddie, they are a couple of the others. So the whole city side of things. You've talked about this already. You're obviously looking at a couple and semi-adjai. I think most people were waiting to see how fit he was out of the first week where he got sub-d early. He sees out the 90 minutes and is the play with the lowest break even in the game heading into to Gameweek 3. Seems

7:32a straightforward option and you sound like you're keen to jump on. Yeah, I'm actually looking at him and the goalkeeper as well. Could be a double-how player in coming. Just with the money they're making and the players that I sort of started with, I think there's a big difference in the swing of prices. So I'm happy to make those changes and even make a boost with someone else who's not a whole player. So where are you seeing the upside in terms of goalkeeping? Because there's been a thought process out there that you want to stay away from spending too much on your goalkeeper. I look at it the other way where I started with David Raya. He's got two clinch sheets. I think Arsenal are the only sure bets there. How difficult is it going to be to upgrade to an Arsenal goalkeeper, for example, Niko? Or is it just safer to build your way there through Zalakas, for example?

8:37Yeah, well I think that's going to be my plan on getting the whole keeper, negative 14 break even. Got asked in the villa at home this week. They haven't here a shot on target this season. So far. That's been the quote this guy's been to start this swing. They hit the cross bar against Arsenal and I thought we were. Yeah, I'm lucky for the first half hour. Correct. Yeah, they did look okay. So look, I'm not saying it's a lock or anything for them to keep it clean obviously, but if they can do it, we're going to see some monster price changes for these whole assets. And I'm hoping that's my ticket to Raya in one move. Are you thinking of a double up as well? Is that entering your thinking at all at the moment? No, now I'm happy to keep the likes of Buskabeech and Polestro who's going to be back for the whole game in game week four. And Frimpong, I'm also going to hold. I'm going to wait for an attacking return with him. It's going to come. He's putting some

9:38crosses in. He's getting up the field. He's getting subbed, which isn't great, but there will be a point where he gets the goal on the back of the net or he gets an assistant that he's priced with jump. So I'm just going to play a little bit, I guess, more conservative with one trade this time around than I did last year. Maddie, how are you feeling in terms of that? Because that was, you know, you and Nico, if you had anything common last year, it was the trade process. I guess you're looking at this week as the place to make a first big move and then perhaps put the queue in the rack for a little bit longer if you can afford to. Yeah, I think the Busk is purely because of the price jumps to try and jump on that, where the players that I am trading out there, the ones that are going to either not go up in value or they're going down actually. So yeah, so they haven't started the season very well and looking to get those price rises to be

10:40able to get me to some keepers and then hopefully once I get those guys, yeah, sit comfortably and not make any trades for a little bit. Hopefully. Yeah, there it is. Hopefully. Hopefully, that look into the future that we all do. Nico, I'm going to take you up the price chart a little bit because you've mentioned both these guys in your article this week and rightly so off their performance is Col Parmer, Ryan Chaukey, both playing in midfield, both very low negative break evans, which is fantastic. Parmer in this Chelsea team that have such an exciting attack with Hay Rogers and Pedro, Cherokee who looks a bit of a minute's risk but is playing so well that I don't know, can that be, can that be sort of put to the side because these forms going to demand that he gets selected with a striker in Holland ahead of him who's going to take as many opportunities as he did on the weekend when Cherokee awarded them to him. Can you give us a ranking between those two and which, so idea you further with speaking of course with Parmer in your team

11:45from the start of the season which was a very good move on your path. Yeah, Parmer, my boy, I held him pretty much all season last year. I think I might have actually held him all season so I like guys who are on penalties that are explosive and I've got high ceiling so look that's the way I'm attacking it. That's why as in my team he started really good. It's the Parmer of Old again, the goal is scored. You know, it was, you know, what we were seeing from him two seasons ago, you know, which is what we want. So he's obviously overall his injury stuff, which is great. He's only playing, you know, the one time a week as well with Chelsea out of Europe. So yeah, look, even with Arsenal, I think it'll be silly not to try and get him in this week if you're an on-on-off. His price is going to go very high as is Cherokee. With Cherokee, I think that's a short-term play. I think Parmer's a long-term play. Cherokee, I'm worried about Enzo's in the club now. How's that going to affect things? They're just, they're so stacked

12:49across every position. There's going to be a lot of competition for place, for places, a lot of minutes, you know, getting shared around trying to keep people happy. So I think whilst as in this form, I'm happy to bring Cherokee in this week. But then maybe in two or three weeks time, I'll be looking just to cash in. Just on that point that you spoke to about the Chelsea assets, and taking on Arsenal this week, there's the, the neck, this is a real supercoachy question that, you know, if you're playing FBL and you experience FBL, FBL play, you haven't really had to worry about this sort of thing. You look at that Arsenal featuring, you go, oh, I'll probably wait a week and just wait for them to get past that one. With supercoach jumping on this price rise now. How important is that if you're looking at a Pedro, a Parmer, a Rodgers, for example, if you can't get to Pedro, which is part of the conundrum I'm selfishly in this week, and part of the reason I'm asking this question. Is there any reason for me to wait post Arsenal, or is that just going to affect

13:51how much money that I'm actually earning out of these guys and bringing them in in the first place? Yeah, look, we are making a lot of money elsewhere, so I don't think it's the end of the world if you're going to wait for Arsenal to pass. Having said, like if you can, you know, look, you know, Parmer on, or something like that, or have a look at a score, then all means go for it. But I mean, what's Parmer projected to go up? He's, he's price over a million. Yeah. Yeah. Two point two. Yeah, well, I'm holding off with J.P.D.R.O.G. I'm going to wait for the ESAC matchup against Somswitch to pass, and then I'm going to have a look at J.P.D.R.O.G. to hold City Home if I can make it work. Hopefully that's only going to be a one-year price rise or something, but ESAC's going to probably go up a mill anyway, so it kind of evens itself out. I wouldn't, yeah, I wouldn't tell you team up to try and get these guys in. There's no issue with waiting, but if you can do it easily and you see them as a long-term hole,

14:52then go for it and make it happen. How long term do you, do you see this happening for Chelsea, Matty? I'll ask you the more general question about them. Can this hold, they've got no European football this year, which is part of the reason these assets are so attractive at the moment? And then you look at a guy like Parmer who's had some injury issues in the past, Rodgers who had a really good start to the season with Villa and then sort of tailed off towards the end of last year, Andrew Aupedra, who's never been trusted as a nine before for the entirety of a season. So there's question marks over all of them, but the proof might just be in the pudding that we've seen so far is that they all seem to fit really beautifully together. It's an interesting question from a footballing perspective as well as a super coach one. Yeah, I think those three players that really jelled so far under Alonzo as well and new coach. So maybe they do one different things, training, maybe Cole Palmer's got a different rehab program.

15:55Got a new S&C for it. Yeah, you never know. So that could be something to be positive about with Cole Palmer. It maybe keeps his body right all year. You just don't really know. So I think those Chelsea assets, for me, they're comfortable to own them maybe the whole season. But you sort of need to get them in before their prices go up too much and you can't fit them in because there's so many other players that you want to try and get in as well. So I'll probably wouldn't go for three, but if you've got probably at least one, but maybe two, I think that's a good balance of the Chelsea attack and I probably wouldn't really go towards their defense at the moment, but although saying that, they've got a new keeper. I think they would have caught more goals than maybe if he didn't play. No, it's a good point. It's a good point. And spoken to someone who got on early, the Chelsea bus, Palmer and Pedro owned by one mate, Yermen, at this stage of the

17:00season, saved them well, they're my friend getting ahead of the game. Well, and truly go on the way. Take away the whole fixture. Yeah. Their fixtures aren't brilliant. So Arsenal away, Brentford away, Bournemouth home, Everton away, Tottenham home, who knows they might be there in four weeks time. So look, it's not brilliant outside of Holland. It's the only real easy matchup. So you might be able to get away with fading for a little bit. How big a, how big are your co-hunters? Do as you wish. Doing that. Exactly. Exactly. This sounds like a guy who's just fed himself into the Chelsea narrative and then go, well, actually, don't follow me in, guys. Don't follow me in. Just wait. Just wait. Who knows what's going to happen. No, I tend to agree. It's interesting. So I've got a long yeah, yeah, I know what you meant. So, whole interesting at home, at Stanford Bridge. I don't think Hull have come up against a real test yet. United Word was so poor on the opening day.

18:03And we're very poor for a lot of the gaming and step switch as well before they turn the switch there. So I'm not putting that out as a marker. What else they got there? Brentford away. They've been interesting and are going to go through a tough run of themselves around that point. So how far down the line are they going to be? Form within a similar position. I don't think they've they're going to make a particularly hot start to the season, given what we've seen so far. Everything, yes, a particularly away that's tricky. And I mean, Tottenham, let's wait and see there. One of my big predictions with us that they were going to have two or three big scorers at the start of the season. That is looking like absolute garbage at the moment. Rank A absolute solid goal poo. So let's see how next few weeks play out for Tottenham, Hotspur. I reckon we can get into some of the most traded in most traded out this week. We've talked through a couple of the

19:04whole city options here is the list loads up for me. There we go. A J.E. Cherokee, Dettich, the top three, Alunga Zalakis, who we've already talked about. Ricardo Calafuri at number six. I mean, I can understand why this is there. I think you're a little bit late if you're moving now, but this is still the cheapest high value, rude into the Arsenal defense at the moment. And it's only going to get worse if you move later right, Nico. There's no other consistent starters outside Gabrielle and his 13 mil is not going anywhere very quickly. If you've been late to move on, ask for it now that time. He's so attacking Calafuri. As long as he's fit, I want to be my team, the best offense in the league. And you've got someone who's, you know, bobbing down the wings and getting in like really good attacking positions in the box nearly as well, like that assisted you go on the weekend. He was right there. So yeah, I love him. I've got it mean, but once again, yeah, I don't

20:05know if I'd be tearing my team up to get him in, especially with Chelsea at home. We could see a lot of goals in that in that kind of matchup. Arsenal aren't going to clean forever. So we'll see his cross is going to go up pretty big though, isn't it? Well, that's a thing you might not even be looking at a clean sheet with him this week. The way Chelsea have been so poor defending down their flanks for the day. They've seriously looked at loose defending their own goal. So who knows? Who knows what might happen there? Maddie, how are you sitting in terms of your Arsenal defenders? And I want to get onto Tommosler's Skelly in a moment as well. But are you of a similar mind regarding should be stacking there if you haven't already? Yeah. So one of my tradeouts is a hard no hang on. Here we go. Sorry. I've just got your up. No Arsenal defenders at the moment. Yes, that's correct. So not ideal. Like you do want to have

21:09some some Arsenal players, especially in the back end of the team, the formation. And yeah, there's none in there at the moment. I actually got quite cheap in the whole backline apart from Mirama Gwaya. So that's um, I don't know what happened there. But uh, yeah, I'm looking at bringing Califiori in maybe if I don't go with other way with the Mithywood option that I'm looking at as well. So, uh, yeah, I agree. You do definitely need some of those Arsenal defenders in. And if you have Raya like you do, I think that's a good good shout and probably a hold for the rest of the season. If you if you want to do that, um, you know, obviously, if you get some injury or some of it, you can, yeah, my wife's trading me up. But for now, I think he's he's a hold for the whole season. Let's move down to my first six is interesting. Yeah. Oh, okay. There we go, particularly if you start this week, which I think is likely given my scares. He's got all hopes of injury. Supposing he's got a one in his and his price cycle. So we'll see a couple of

22:09drops from him as well. So I think even more affordable if Chelsea put one past him this weekend. Well, what would your advice be to Maddie Danica? Shoot it away. For consa. Yeah. Yeah. I'll read you this. I'll read you this back. I'll read you this backline. Maguire Murrow M.E.V. Vuskovys Polestra and Levi Cole. You're going to double up on the Chelsea backline. I think it's more worrying to me than the fact you don't have any Arsenal players there. Two two at the back. Maguire. That's the one. We could see it in four goals to promote it teams in the first two weeks. Yeah. I think I can move Maguire on that. Yeah. He's definitely out. I just don't know who Yeah. Well, we'll have that discussion as we get deeper into this. I do want to touch on Lewis Kelly a bit as well. He and Nico because you've written about him this week. He's in a really interesting position. I think he could be a regular starter if not an every week starter for them in

23:13a midfield position where he's getting forward and they're playing against set defenses. Hanseys opportunity to provide a CC's a negative nine break even he's 3.9 mill at the moment. That price is projected to go about a mill but Bruno Kumaris has come in. How long is he going to be there that for is it just a cash grab or is it just a wait and see for the moment? Yeah. To be honest, I reckon that ones don't hold don't buy situation. If you've got him sorry hold and don't buy. So if you don't sell or buy. Yeah. Yeah. So I wouldn't be trading into him. I just feel like Bruno Kumaris is the one you know brought in big money. So I feel like he's going to be the main man especially for the important matchups. The the tough games against Chelsea for instance. So I feel like he's probably going to start and we might see a little scale in the bench this week but obviously wait and have a look at the

24:13teams. If he's named it might be worth that cash grab if you've got some like a polester there and you're fed up with him you know not playing might be worth using a boost just to cash in. Yeah. I think boost any week you are trading you're not going to get I don't think anyone got through six boosts. A lot for the majority of last year. It is a lot that feeling like you you shouldn't use one of them at least one of those at this early stage of the season I think is for what thinking because there are just going to be so few occasions where you're going to feel like making free trades in a single week. It'll be none or three at different times none or two just because of the way prices moving this game is so unique compared to FPL that if you've come across from you'll be so familiar with last trade in player I want to get to is Malik Yal Kuyye the worst hairline of a 20 year old I've ever seen. Brighton and Hove Albee

25:15and taking on the leads this week he's 3.5 mil. I've spoken highly of trying to build some value through your midfield as well as your backline but even I would be hard pressed to make a case for him the only thing I could say is leads in Coventry not the most diabolical of a couple of fixtures this just looks like a guy who scored and plenty of jumped on here right Nico or am I looking at a little bit too simply. Yeah now I think you're probably right there he's at the basement price he scored a goal so he's going to go up to five mil pretty quick and then he might be looking to move off after that very very short term play I think for the guy who's looking like he's 50 years old Maddie have you played with a teammate who had a worse hairline at 20 years of age? Angus Tergate. Absolutely. Yeah he had to shave quite early in his career and yeah

26:19he's people thought he was older than him at any once but yeah no apart from that I think he's probably the main one but yeah can't score a volley though oh boy we're all blessed with the three of us that's right we're not too bad we're not too in too bad I'll tell you what third game came through 1920 and looked like the experienced head in the center of midfield that you casted just mate what a player though what a player still is right let's go to the traded out side of things because there's a couple here Nico Riley I think speaks for himself Christos Zollis Maddie this is interest me because Arsenal obviously paid the money for him in the transfer window he plays limited minutes in this second game and everybody's jumping off suddenly because every as a has been brought on how you're feeling about him if you've spent 5.5 mil on the replacement for Leandro Trotha I think I think Westy went that direction yeah I think he did instead of Jarl Pedro so I mean

27:27last game was wasn't a good one for him I think you know confidence wise not not great as well getting subbed at half time but yeah like I said he's a big sign for them in the summer he's someone that they're brought in to improve their attack and I think there's so many good options as well the Arteta can use so he could end up starting off the bench this week you know just from from last weekend but you know insane that he could start again so I think it's one of those ones you want to sort of see what the lineups are and if he is on the bench it could be a trade out Westy could potentially be be looking at that so yeah see what options are out there and what he can afford but I do think he will improve and he's possible go up but it's just about the patient with him but it just seems like a such a straightforward one given the ones we've talked about in terms of the the new castle attackers you can bring in there's a switch to our premium mid attacking plot

28:31sorry a premium forward and you can shift some of that money down through your midfield like there there seems to be a few different options you can go there Nico you want to expand sorry before you're wrong yeah there is some reasons to hold him so I've got him as a trade out here we go however they didn't sign anyone on deadline date which they were looking at for the left wing spot so his competition is only as they which is a good thing and he was on a yellow when he got sub-data as well and could have been sent off before that so probably our tits are playing it safe probably doesn't want to go down to ten men you know early in early in a match and maybe lose a couple points early in the season as well so I feel like he could be a good hold but I understand why people are on Nico and Riley I'll be holding him as well right okay can you talk us through that because I think he's one who's a real rotation risk even though he's playing that that position further forward

29:31similar to Lewis Kelly yeah he's not going to be playing the 10 with with Cherokee yeah with Cherokee starting he's not going to be up there he's going to be he's going to be playing left back I just feel like there's a clean sheet there against commentary at home and you know an attacking return potentially from across or something so break even a bay den I'd be I'd be holding him this week I only have the match up if it was anyone else other than a relegated team sorry a promoted team coming up you know to their home ground I probably sell but in this instance I'll be holding and a promoted team that have probably looked the weakest of the three that have come up so far and their two performances commentary I'd say just one question more generally about how you making up your team at the moment I wrote this week that it looks as though we're going to have a season where there are a lot of goal scored and we're going to have more players further forward scoring higher versus where Maddie jumped on the defensive band we're going to early last year

30:35and he wrote it right into a very high finish we've seen something similar here we've had 10 more goals in the first two weeks than we had in the first two weeks of last season there seemed to be forwards a bound and can you afford to hold someone like a solace or a wide player in those forward positions when there is so much high scoring firepower out there longer term I guess this is a question about Nico but are you getting that sense about the shape of your team or am I drawing conclusions too early and it really is too early to tell I feel like it probably is too early to tell but I've played a two five three formation last week and I'm going to be doing the same again this week I don't yeah I don't see a lot of clean sheets early days just while you know everyone's got new managers basically and yeah I'll play like I'm a river mitch I'll play you're pretty close

31:36yeah like he scored an 11 and they you know they can see it's I'm quite happy to have him on for you but I'll be leaving you know let's give it and for him pong on the bench I think and just yeah just it seems a little bit open I think you're right a little bit there mulch you I think yeah things have been open at the moment there's a lot of goals so I'll just yeah I'll stick with more attackers on field matter you feel insane and and is your spend gonna change there as you go forward in the season yeah I think the two they can play each week you want them to be like good matchups so I think yeah I think the the better formation the play is probably the two five two or three whatever whatever whichever one you're gonna go towards having more upfront or the whole me field and yeah I think I mean as hard as the season goes on there could be a lot of nil nil draws or you know the the fences might start jelling together because there's a lot of new signings as well

32:37around the league as well so you've got to take that into consideration they're taking a bit longer to to get used to each other as back falls and goalkeeper sometimes takes a bit longer so yeah I mean the main ones that you want to get in there are the same ones probably from last year the Arsenal defense man city and you know then you got you know players like Tarkowski and Van Dyke those type of guys that you you want to get in your team as soon as possible and then your formation can change because you sort of back those guys to get points at both ends indeed indeed beautiful for punches thank you for just flattening me out a bit now back to the tough questions and Jeremy Frimpong Niko how how long are you going to keep on to a fullback who can't defend or be it is very exciting when it gets forward well he's close enough to the bargain basement price so he's not going to drop that much money you know if you if you yeah he's 4.1 the lowest he can get to is
