623: We Do Not Live In The Land of Close Enough

In Joshua 5, the people of Israel finally step into the land God promised, but before the battles begin, God calls them to stop, remember, and draw near. Circumcision is renewed, the Passover is celebrated, manna ceases, and Joshua comes face to face with the Commander of the Lord’s army. Victory doesn’t start with strategy or strength—it starts with holiness, obedience, and reverence.

In this episode of The Pursuit of Manliness Podcast, we wrestle with a hard truth: many men live close to God, but not close enough. We’re nearby, familiar with the language and the routines, yet distant in obedience, humility, and surrender.
