69. Staying Awake + Keeping an Open Heart in a World of Numbness & Disassociation

“Greet the piece of you that is longing to unravel. Hold it. Move the furniture out of the way so that it can collapse onto the floor like a puddle. 

Let it simmer in the space between your breath and let yourself taste the salt from the tears you may have never gotten to cry. 

Fold into your bones. 

Allow the whispers of what’s left to come through you. 

Don’t rush to rebury that hatchet. 

Learn to feel pain and then learn to feel joy.

Learn to feel them both fully and boldly,

because you cannot have one without the other.

Learn to feel. 

Learn to feel as though one day, you may fall asleep & never wake up — 

because one day, you will.”  - Words jotted in my December 2024 journal
