DAY 17: USING YOUR GIFTScripture: 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."Powerful Intro:Imagine a world where each person fully embraced their talents and used them—unashamedly, unapologetically—for good. Picture the transformation in your family, your community, your church, even the world if everyone stepped into their unique calling. What if today you realized that your gifts—no matter how ordinary they may seem—are extraordinary tools in the hands of God? Today is the day to unwrap what God has given you and let the world be blessed by your divine fingerprint.Backstory of the Scripture:The apostle Peter wrote this letter to encourage believers who were experiencing hardship, reminding them of their purpose and responsibility as members of God’s family. With persecution looming, Peter insists that the church use its gifts to serve one another selflessly. In doing so, they would reveal God’s grace in practical, powerful ways. He wanted Christians not to hide their talents, but to steward them faithfully for the strength and unity of the body of Christ.Lesson: Demonstrating 1 Peter 4:10You are uniquely created, intentionally gifted, and purposefully placed. 1 Peter 4:10 is not just a suggestion—it’s a calling. - Go Deep: Begin each morning inviting God into your discovery. Ask, “Lord, reveal the gifts You have placed in me. Show me how I am uniquely equipped to serve.” God promises to give wisdom generously to those who seek Him. You won’t have to guess—He delights in making your purpose clear!
- Journal: Take 5-10 quiet minutes to list what comes naturally. What do others thank you for? What activities make you lose track of time? When have you felt most energized in helping others? These themes often point to your spiritual gifts or natural talents.
- Ask Trusted Friends: Sometimes, others see your strengths more clearly. Invite a mentor or a praying friend to share what gifts they see in you.
2. Serve Someone TodayApply Galatians 5:13—“Serve one another humbly in love.”
- Go Deep: Service isn’t always grand gestures; often, it's simple, Spirit-led acts of kindness. Your gift can be a gentle word to someone discouraged, sharing a meal, lending your creativity to a community need, or simply pausing your busyness to truly listen to a friend.

- Divine Appointments: Pray, “God, help me see the needs around me. Lead me to opportunities to use my gifts for Your glory.” Stay sensitive throughout the day—needs and moments to serve might be subtle!
- Stay Alert: As you go about your day—at home, work, school, or errands—keep your spiritual “antenna” up. Pay attention to moments when someone seems troubled or when a solution is needed. That prompting in your spirit is often the Holy Spirit inviting you to step out and serve.
