A man accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend and her two children is being held without bail. 29 year old Juan Carlos Arona appeared in court Thursday. His public defender asked for the bail hearing to be delayed. The judge ordered Arona be held for now and said she found probable cause for his arrest. Police have said Arona drove to a police substation Tuesday evening with a gunshot wound to his stomach and confessed to the killings. He faces three counts of open murder and multiple counts of discharging a gun into an occupied structure. The Department of Homeland Security is launching a surge of voter fraud investigations in Nevada and eight other states according to a CNN report

Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar said in his own statement the federal effort will likely disenfranchise voters. And experts say that it's a complex issue that touches a lot of things such as affordability, housing, homelessness, drug use, certain things that can make you more susceptible to succumbing to the heat. The Stadium Commission Authority agreed Wednesday to give the Raiders 75 million in public funds to help pay for the $158 million project. Upgrades would include a public plaza, event space, an area for rideshare operations, and eventually a Vegas Loop Station. Planed editions will run along Hustyenda Avenue between Dean Martin Drive and Polaris Avenue. A tentative timeline shows construction beginning in August next year, with completion expected by January 2029. Just before Las Vegas hosts Super Bowl 63, that February.
