A teenager appears in adult court in connection with an alleged sexual
assault of a classmate. We have the latest. Thanks for joining us on seven at seven
tonight. I'm Linda Blitz. We begin with top stories brought to you by Apex
Armory, the Valley's premier firearm dealer.
A summerland private school student facing charges in connection with an alleged
sexual assault appeared in adult court on Tuesday.
15-year-old Dominic Kim is one of the boys accused in connection with the alleged
assault of another student at the Alexander Dawson school while on a trip to
Costa Rica. He faces a count of possession of child sex abuse material
and two counts of child abuse or neglect. Last week a judge ordered Kim to be
tried as an adult. His defense attorney said Kim has posted his $30,000 bail
but was still in custody on Tuesday while waiting to be fitted with an
electronic monitor. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 5th.
Another suspect 15-year-old Vaughn Griffith has already been certified as an
adult and faces a count of possession of child sexual abuse material.
A new project is designed to help Nevada and get faster, more precise
information about what to expect from nearby wildfires.
Officials gathered Monday to celebrate a $1 million grant for the project.
The Desert Research Institute and the Western Regional Climate Center
will use the money to improve wildfire modeling by pairing observations on
the ground with data from NASA satellites.
Wildfire itself is not going away. It's been here for a very long time.
But what we can do is mitigate the impacts of that.
Representative Dina Titus, who advocated for the grant in Congress,
called the money an investment in the health of Nevada's.
Last year, the Las Vegas Valley had the 12 worst air quality of any U.S.
metropolitan area, according to the American Long Association.
In weather sponsored by Star Nursery, your garden's partner for every
blooming thing. A big heat wave is headed for the Las Vegas Valley,
bringing with it record high temperatures exceeding 90 degrees.
The National Weather Service says the early season heat could be dangerous as we are not
acclimated yet. The average first 90 degree day of the year doesn't usually happen until
sometime in April. However, the heat is not here just yet.
Tonight temperatures will drop through the 60s before reaching an overnight low of 54.
We'll see a high of 80 on Wednesday climb to 85 on Thursday and reach 88 on Friday.
We'll see plenty of sun and no chances of rain with overnight lows in the upper 50s and
lower 60s. And as for those 90s, they'll arrive just in time for the weekend.
Make sure you stay hydrated and remain in the shade when you're outdoors.
Now for Vegas Nation and the latest on the Raiders.
I'm Tom McIvoy, huge news regarding the Max Crosby trade breaking late Tuesday evening.
The Raiders announcing that the Ravens have backed out of the deal that would have
set the start of offensive end to Baltimore in exchange for the 14th overall pick this draft
and a first round pick in 2027. The Raiders said they would not have a comment at this time.
This is the developing story. Visit Vegasation.com for more details.
Also breaking Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports, the Raiders are trading Geno Smith
back to the team that drafted him. The New York Jets, the silver and black, would get a sixth round
pick in the deal and send a seventh round pick to New York. The Raiders also agreed to pay the
bulk of Smith's salary to help the deal along, while Smith agreed to a restructured contract.
Smith threw 19 touchdowns in a league leading 17 interceptions this past season.
The Raiders hold the first overall pick in this year's draft and are expected to take
Indiana QB for Nando Bendosa.

One of the top events for food and drink in Las Vegas returns next month,
and neon has the first list of chefs taking part.
This seventh annual Vegas Unstripped is scheduled for April 26th at the pool deck at the palms.
Participating chefs include James Trees, one of the organizers of the festival,

Our Jonathan Wright tells us what separates this foodie festival from the rest.
What sets Vegasun stripped apart from many other food and drink festivals in Las Vegas
is that top Vegas chefs create a dish especially for the event and they serve it
personally so they can talk to the guests and discuss the food and people can get to know
the people behind some of their favorite restaurants.
Tickets are on sale now at Vegasun stripped.com and to date, at least 25 chefs have been confirmed
for the event. To see the list of participating chefs, visit neon.lbrj.com

officially received their white coats marking the next phase of their education.
This is the class of 2028 at the Kirk-Cocorean School of Medicine.
The white coat ceremony represents the transition from classroom-based learning
to hands-on clinical training during the last two years of medical school.
What an amazing opportunity it is. It's just such a unique experience and I'm so filled with
gratitude for everything I've been given. I want to be able to make a difference in the world,
even if it's just teaching one student down the line or maybe encouraging one student to choose
medicine or being able to change the life of someone that maybe thought they didn't have that
opportunity. That's why I want to do medicine. 19 of the white coat recipients got their
undergraduate degrees from UNLV. Sports, Ratsima, Cichicitos, Estee and Sports. Download the app today.
Well, the lady rebels fall in the Mountain West tournament. Colorado State taking down UNLV
on Monday night 66 to 59 in the semi-final of the tournament off the back of Brooke Carlson's 19

in this game but as I told them we're sad because the possibility of it being over but I'm hopeful
that it's not and I'm going to try my hardest to make that happen in some postseason play
in whatever tournament that is. Oh yeah, Alex Interpaced to UNLV on the night scoring 22 points.

Go to Arizona Charleys.com to see who's playing. As he gets ready to take the stage again,
a Vegas headliner is recalling a prediction he made five decades ago. John Katsumidas has that
story. In 1977, Sammy Hagar predicted what is happening today. This was in a song called
Crack in the World where Sammy saying, let's all have a good time before the great divide because
things will start separating from 2025. Hagar said last week that the prophetic song has been given
new life and he plans to sing it one night at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Hagar and his best of all
World's Band returns Wednesday night to go back in time with some Van Hagar classics.
