Mine's back to the Sixers, did take a rather large L-115-101.

And for people that are looking at it, they'd be like, hey, for not having Tyree's back,

should you want to be Paul George and everyone ever, hey, 14 point loss to the cabs ain't

so bad.

Yes, it was.

It was terrible.

The cabs just dictated play throughout the entire game.

And if you watched it, it was clearly a college team versus a high school freshman team.

That's what it looked like.

Like, hey, we don't want to take their soul tonight.

Let's just, you know, not destroy them, but let's just make sure we win still handily.

And that's exactly what they did tonight.

Now this is what it comes down to for this loss.

I even found a way to rip a Nick nursing all of this and I'm not one to really go after

coaches.

I tend to blame players, but when you have a game like this and you find a way as a coach

to mess it up somehow, oh, Nick nurses in the cross here.

So we're going to get into that.

We're going to get into the number one thing as to other than talent, why the 76ers lost

this game.

We're also going to talk about the player of the game and what you'll be talking about

tomorrow.

And let's just get right to that.

Okay.

When it comes to that, this is what you'll be talking about.

Here's what you'll be talking about.

The starting five of campaign, Quentin Grimes, Kelly Ubrei, Dominic Barlow at a DEM

Bona.

That's what you had to roll out tonight for the 76ers to take on the now 40 win Cleveland

Cavaliers unit that only added James Harden at the trade deadline.

Tyrese Maxx is going to be okay for tomorrow night against Memphis, Grizzlies.

I don't think so.

BJ Edge come.

Oh, he was out tonight.

He was a glimmer of hope before the game, but we found out early on.

He was not going to be a participant in this game.

Joel and B did it.

They're probably not either.

It's not a great feeling going forward for the 76ers, even if you're, I mean, if you're

taking on the calves, obviously not.

If you're going to take on the Memphis, Grizzlies, still not a great feeling for this 76ers

squad.

So then you look to the talent that you have.

You look to the team that you have assembled right now campaign going to get it done for

you.

Quentin Grimes.

Oh, I am glad I didn't take out like a guaranteed 20 point game for Quentin Grimes because I really

thought pretty confident going into this one.

He would at least be able to get to 20 being that nobody else was going to be able to

score for this basketball team.

I didn't have confidence in Kelly Ubrei.

He only played 14 minutes.

He had six points and he got himself in an early foul trouble.

And that was another thing.

Not only did you know you're going to be down your regular starters in this one, Kelly Ubrei,

who only just made his game first game back from an illness after missing a couple of games

there, gotten to immediate foul trouble and had to be taken out of the game.

This is fun.

So right away, you know, you're going to be shorthanded and now you're going to be even

more shorthanded.

Yeah, this is fun.

So that was a huge problem for the Sixers as well tonight.

But you knew you weren't going to get much from Ubrei or you thought you weren't going

to get much from Ubrei.

Maybe campaign gets hot from beyond the arc.

That didn't happen.

Grimes was the one guy I thought would be able to knock down some big shots for the Sixers

and that did not happen.

He did have a team high 17 points and off the bench, Justin Edwards was able to contribute

14 points for the Sixers off the bench.

But if I had to go with one thing tonight, it's a new feature here on Locked On Postcast

and I think you guys might like this.

Uh oh, somebody messed up and it's time to let them know with who fudged up.

Look, again, you're looking at this game.

The Sixers aren't beating the caps.

I think the Postcast thumbnail prior to starting was, well, here goes nothing.

We all knew this game was going to be dominated, dictated by the Cleveland Cavalry.

And that's exactly what happened.

But here's how I find a way to just question Nick Nurse's ability to coach basketball team.

Okay, here it is.

How does it make any sense?

And let me just interrupt myself again for a second.

This isn't why the Sixers lost the game, all right?

So it's just something that really grinds my gears watching this game tonight.

How is the hell on a night like tonight where everybody's hurt?

How does Jabari Walker only play five minutes going into the fourth quarter?

How does that make any sense whatsoever?

Galen Terries in this game.

Justin Edwards gave you 28 minutes.

Okay, fun.

I'll find with that.

Trened Watford, I know you can bring the ball up.

You can play the point four and all that stuff.

He had four turnovers and like the blink of an eye.

Jabari Walker would actually been playing well for you, put a couple of good games together.

First time in his career, he's able to put back to back 20 point performances together

just a couple of days ago.

And in a game like this, you don't lean on him at all.

And like there was no foul trouble for him in this game.

What are you saving him for Memphis?

It's all hands on deck, babe.

You got to get everybody out there.

I went into it.

He knocked out a three in the fourth quarter and I went, oh, hey, that's right, Jabari.

Did Nick Nurse forget he's on the squad?

I'm like, how many minutes is he locked tonight?

Oh, five?

I think it was a little, a little over four and a half that he logged going into this fourth

quarter tonight.

Can you believe that?

I can't believe that, but a life of me for this squad.

Excuse me, little issue, there we go.

Of all things, I know it's how they lost the game, but it's just, of all the guys you

had available, he's the guy that you, you slight minutes that makes zero sense to me

tonight.

Now, as for a bigger reason, other than talent as to why the 76ers lost this basketball

game, I think it comes down to turnovers above all else.

And there's one point in particular we can get into it.

It's certainly a turning point in this.

I'm the reveal where the game was once or lost.

It's the turning point.

Sixers actually only trailed by six out of the first quarter.

So other than tip off as to why the sixers lost this game tonight, they were just destined

to do it.

I would say it came around the early portion of the, yeah, early portion of the second quarter.

The sixers had three, well, first I'll just start with the good.

Edwards knocked down a three to make it a three point game, he made it 28, 25.

Sixers were certainly hanging with the Cavaliers up into this point.

When Tyree Smartin newly minted 76er, the pride of William Allen High School in Allentown,

two turnovers back to back.

Then Bo-Champ overthrew Martin, I think it was at the top of the key.

That was a turnover.

Three consecutive turnovers led to seven points and a ten point lead by the Cleveland

Cavaliers.

And look, it was destined to happen.

There was going to be some point in which the Sixers just lost control of the game.

And that was the moment they lost control of it.

So if you really had to identify anything other than the injury report coming out earlier

today, this is why the 76ers lost this game.

I mean, there's that outman outman and guys who just inexperienced playing with one another.

I mean, there was one fast break that Sixers led.

I think it was a Dem Bona slam on the offense of anything.

The fast break that the Sixers ran was like the most hesitant fast break I've ever seen.

It was like, okay, we're on the same page.

We're going to run with this.

Everyone good.

And it was walked for leading it.

And he was like, looking around to make sure everyone was on the same page.

Okay, good.

Easy dish to Bona.

He slammed it down.

You were, you were good to go at that, at that point.

But everything else was just guys playing very tentative basketball.

And you saw this unfortunately with Tyree Smartin as well.

The first turnover that he had, he just kind of lost control.

The basketball had it later stolen.

Then he had a bad pass.

That led to the turnover.

And then Bo Champ had the really bad pass worry over through Martin on the opposite end

of the floor or across the court on a skip pass that just sailed way over his head.

That was, that was pretty much a wrap from that point on.

Not saying the Sixers would ever get to win this game, but from that point on, it was pretty

much a wrap, unfortunately.

And also you're probably not surprised to know that it is James Harden as the player of

the game today.

Yes, just 21 points for James Harden, but it was a game high and the only player in tonight's

basketball game that made it into the 20 point marker.

In total though, the Cleveland Cavaliers had six players finish in double figures in

scoring, including Keon Ellis who came off the bench, dropped in 19 points and Jalen

Tyson dropped in 11 off the bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
