We did have ourselves a fun day of baseball Wednesday. Let's take a look back at it. Try to find some trends in, try to get to know these things a little bit better. A game through yesterday is Greg Buzin about. Here is the Routing Recap. 15 to 14 is how the Metz versus Marlins game wraps up. The Metz got up 8 to 0. They completely blow that 8 to 0 lead. But then the Marlins bullpen was the Marlins bullpen. As Janssen junk lived up to his name, it runs a lot over course of three endings. Robert Stock was a tanking stock. Three runs a lot in four endings. Awesome. More from there is Squirrel saying Chris Ivinsky five runs a lot in the third of an angle. Take it deep by own Casey 14th on my season. Joe Mac 13th on my season comes off a day and a war day gives up that one run. In one and two thirds angst, Jonathan Pintaro gives up two runs at an ending. 8-1-2. K-3 runs in the ninth before Tobias Myers puts out the fire and gets a final two outs of

2:02the game. Meanwhile for the Marlins bullpen, Gay Gibson, Michael Peterson, Calvin Fosher, they're all he would give you a squirrel saying, Josh Hechtness gives up three runs. But talking a single out of the bullpen, Tyler Zuber gives up three runs in his ending work. Take it deep by Francisco Lendor. It's 18th on my season. Brandon's broke four runs allowed in one and a third angst, Emory Uribe, Fairfoughts out of the bullpen. He gives up run and Kevin Goss been well. He got Gossed in this one. Three home runs allowed. Chris Yehlch 11th home run campaign. William Catarras is 15th and then Jackson Trio is 23rd as he gives up seven runs. Six of which were in him for any. Trent Thornton killed the O'Barkall and Ray L.C. Ippippa, eight to Squatle, setting senior, Polencia gives up an under run in his

3:04ending work as the Cubs were down 8 to 1. They put up a five-spon in the ninth ending, but two little too late out there for the Phillies. They had a slug fest against the use of an answer. One to seven, both teams were opening giving up runs. The Phillies get the job down here. Goodness for Sanchez gets a win despite giving up six runs over the course of six endings. He was taking deep twice as Yadisak Greatis gives 19th home run season. Same goes for Kim Smith. 11:25two thirds of an ending of work two runs and you'll see no boy on mo moto he was definitely on his game in this one he allows one run over the courts and seven angst that one run being a soul run led the cruise was able to get his 26th home run the campaign but south over simb like trinon may clean up their ending a piece scrolls so nice demanding win for the Dodgers and if you're taking a look at trend wise we're getting image league baseball right now it has been now an underwhelming season as the underrated is right around about 50.5 percent one thousand seventy seven one thousand fifty seven over zan if i'm not mistaken we are now up to about fifty seven pushes along the way and if you're looking at favorites on the money line they're hitting at 56.1 percent one thousand one hundred and ninety eight and nine thirty six but among those favorites we are up to a whopping three hundred and seven that have failed to cover the run line meanwhile if you look at the last eight days image league baseball favorites two twenty one and one seventy six on the money line but among those favorites we have seen sixty three failed to cover the run line the over eight is about fifty point nine percent two hundred one over one hundred ninety four

12:27hundred and on the way we have had thirteen pushes and over the last seventies image league baseball over eight is right around about fifty two point two percent forty eight over is forty four hundred and if had four pushes along the way meanwhile the money line favorites hitting at only about fifty four and a percent fifty one and forty three with a whopping nineteen of those favorites being unable to cover the run line so that's where we're seeing a baseball right now and that's where we're getting trend wise coming back south of what if we do chat it up with a good friend William Bore over at action now we're writing on the baseball but in search of myself right Peter Simnuff for the recent day late by guess breaking down every game every day in major league baseball this is the baseball betting show here is your host Greg Peterson and we're right give all the boss Vegas for the baseball betting show with myself great Peterson now part of the Vison family podcast always great to be joined by this band as we've got William Bore aboard he's doing such great work over at action network today you gotta look at this great game that we all know and love of baseball but

13:28early is breaking out a little bit of everything if it's football that you need he's got you covered I know that they do some work with regards to soccer this side of the year as EPL and all those leagues out there in the continent of Europe they are very big right now and additionally I know that they're getting stuff for basketball season as well which is going to be here sooner rather than later you're about to fall on the little Twitter side shikes at the letter w last same Bore B O O R all together and William always pleasure my friend thank you of course Greg always happy to hop on talk betting with you really fun time year-round right now that all the sports going oh it certainly is and with regards to baseball we are getting closer and closer to the playoffs things are going to be set with that playoff picture in the next few weeks and just hi do you take a look at the American League a question that I've asked you so much on this podcast I wish I wasn't asking you it so much but it feels like it's still one of the most murky landscapes I can ever remember yeah it's very murky but I mean that's what makes it fun it'll be nice going into October with kind of a wide open slate as opposed to what's starting to look like more and more

14:32like a two team race in the NL I mean the raise of clearly established themselves as the best team in this league it's just really hard to buy into the raise as a true world series contender because of everything we've seen from them over the past several years where there always a team that's good over the 162 but they never have what it takes to get over the hump and win in the postseason is this year different I don't know but this team does look different this team is playing really well I still think you probably deferred of the Yankees but I know I'm higher on Tampa Bay going into this postseason than I have been on Tampa Bay going into years past part of that is the rest of the A.L. as a whole but part of it's definitely the race yeah certainly what do we make out of the Yankees right now because they are getting here in judge back that should be about them out now we've only seen two nights of air and judge you figure they be Rossi and he has been Rossi for the New York Yankees but I think that that's a big deal for them because in my opinion there's no

15:33team that has a bigger show we say drop off in production than the Yankees and when they're without air and judge exactly and I think that's something that you've got to keep in mind when you're looking to the playoffs and looking to October and whether and you know who you want to bet on to win the American league or anything like that your right air and judge has looked to put resty but I don't care what air and judge looks on looks like on September 8 September 9th I want to know what he looks like on October 3rd and October 4th and if we get you know peak prime air and judge in early October for the Yankees that team becomes very dangerous in the American league. Yep I'm right there with you it's you knew that there was going to be some Rossi as well you didn't think that after being off for like two and a half three plus months that it's like oh he's just going to be back to being normal it's going to be a few weeks so honestly the fact that he's getting the rush shake and off right now in my opinion is a very good thing as we've got William Borough of action network judge me right here on the baseball betting show and no doubt about it the American league it's still about as murky as mud out there but for the National League it feels like things

16:35are sort of crystallized a little bit more the biggest question mark is whether or not it's going to be the Padres or the Erzen Dima Bex who get that final wild card spot and how do you take a look at that race because that's another one that's a fun one and just the more that I look at this Padres team the more that I think that they can really be lethal here in October with the way that that offense as take it off in the second half of the season. Yeah I mean when I look at that final wild card spot you definitely lean the Padres they've been playing better of late expected winloss is better than the Diamondbacks or run differentials better than the Diamondbacks plus they're the hotter team in the second half so you've got to like everything you see there from San Diego I think the NL as a whole is probably a two horse race if you told me you know the Padres really start hitting and put a scare into some I mean I can definitely buy that the path is there it's just really hard to see people competing with the Brewers and the Dodgers right now. Yeah Ben I'm so glad that you mentioned the Brewers because they did make the NLCS last year but they fell a little bit short and I do still have some concerns about the team in October I'm not

17:39sure how you're taking a look at them but I absolutely love the pitching when you've got Jacob Mizraowski when you've got Kyle Eris and Logan Anderson in my opinion does there's more love than what he's getting it's amazing but that said I really would have loved to have seen them get a bet at the trade deadline and I think that that could be ultimately what costs and perhaps from being able to make a world series. Yeah I don't blame you I think those fears those concerns are a very real especially when you look at what say they're in the NLCS against the Dodgers again you've got a rotation that if the Dodgers are fully healthy by then or even if they only have three healthy I mean that's the loaded rotation with elite pitching big names it's gonna be tough to string together you know three four hits in and in to put up a crooked number you're gonna need someone to hit a three run bomb obviously Churios there but an extra bat an additional threat certainly would be nice but it's not throughout they took so you got to see what happens. Yep we certainly do and it's gonna be a lot of fun to see what we get in the baseball you're

18:41moving forward and we've got a small slate that's gonna be happening on Thursday but one game that really does stand out to me is this race versus Braves game because you talked about it at the outset the race they currently have the top record in the American League it's really hard to bank on Nick Martinez it's like a big time postseason server but I'd he's been great here for the race and for the Atlanta Braves Martine Perez I don't know how he saw his sub 330 year A but he does total of eight and a half am I wrong for thinking we might see some regression to a pair of guys that just been pitching to a lot of contact because it just feels like these guys have been getting incredibly lucky dancing through the rain drops this year and sooner rather than later I think that regression is gonna bite them and I fear it might be at the absolute worst time. Yeah I'm with you I think like you you open that way it is like Nick Martinez and Martin Perez both these guys have ERA's you know 304 325 they're you know very very good but neither of them are wait call it what household names aces of staffs anything like that Martinez has given up

19:43three runs in each of his past two starts he's given a 12 runs total of his past four starts I mean you're starting to see a little bit of slippage there and again still very very good but I mean he went through the whole first half with an ERA around two we're just starting we're starting to slip a little bit Perez gave up four runs in his last outing yes that's against a very good Philadelphia team but I mean these two pictures regression seems like it's starting to hit and I wouldn't necessarily be shocked if we go if we go over on Thursday. Yeah and then there's concern with the pitcher that is going to be going for the white socks on Thursday this should be Luis Castillo it could be a little bit mix of match because Luis Castillo's up and good since he got our acquired from the Seattle Mariners he has a 752 ERA with two points having all bruts a lot of pertinings for the white socks this is not the Luis Castillo that we all know loving I know that Jared Jones doesn't have a great ERA but he's a guy with upside he's getting a lot of strikeouts it's a pick him game I want to get your thoughts here because I think

20:45Luis Castillo has a chance to get a little bit better as the season goes along but I just think that might be all gone for him and I think that this could be a nice table insert here for Jared Jones leading into next season Castillo I mean it's hard to imagine him getting worse so on that front yes he's got to get a little bit better as the season winds down but I mean if you can get the pirates here at plus money I think with like you said Jared Jones statement star I think it's worth taking a stab the white socks have obviously been good this year so it's hard to find time to sit necessarily go against them but I think anytime Castillo's on the mound might be a good time to fade Chicago so I don't mind taking a stab at this right here at all yep and with the white socks and the pirates both of these seems to have been top seven offenses turns for recreation that total seven half just feels really low and the low total on the board is out there in Seattle because yeah Logan Gilbert going against Jacob to Graham but I feel like six and a half to seven is just too low for to Graham he's been great at home he's really struggled away from him and Logan Gilbert is giving up over two ohm runs for Dianne and he said Seattle like I don't know how he's

21:49been significantly better on the road rather than at home but somehow some way he has want to get your thoughts here because for the Rangers and the Mariners are really sliding in that aOS race both teams need this game both teams sending pictures and have big names but they just haven't performed necessarily up to their names as far this year completely agree with everything you said there it's hard to look at these two names and say I want to bet the over you know that's so counterintuitive to everything we think when we think Logan Gilbert when we think Jacob to Graham but I think that's exactly where I'm going to be on this game I'm probably going to be over and if we're talking about a side I'm probably going to be on the Rangers the Mariners are a team that has drastically disappointed me all season they were team I was high on they when I go back at the end of my notes at the end of the season the Mariners are probably going to be the baseball team I lost the most money on this year I've been too slow to get off the band wagon with them but give me Texas tomorrow for sure yep I'm right there with you and I'm also right there with you thinking that the Mariners would be quite a bit better this year they have not been like every single time they're out there

22:51picture where it's like oh this should be a good start for them and the offense is not bad they're all season long so I'm a total agreement with you there and then this one I think is going to be very fascinating we've got the Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies or you mentioned the World Series from a few years ago with Zach Wheeler against Christian obvious right now the Phillies minus 170 favorites little Vain F anything that you might be able to extract from this game because for Christian obvious he's just become a big giant fade and he's not what he was a few years ago fading hobby I like fading have here I like back in Zach Wheeler to me this is Phillies or bus is not that complicated don't ever think it if you don't want to play the 170 I totally get that I don't know take Phillies money line throw in the Yankees or the Rockies or we've got Thursday night football take you know take the Phillies and grab someone to score a touchdown grab the Rams whatever you want I totally understand not wanting to lay the 170 with the Phillies but if I'm betting this game it's Philadelphia all the way yeah Ben with this one I'm going to be looking at the run line myself getting in on plus money because I think that they could win this game on multiple

23:54runs even though it's a home game and then we've got one last game on the board to look at I'm sure that you much like myself not George said delay minus 340 here on the Yankees the total say in the half I can't bring myself to betting the Rockies any sort of an angle for this water is this one of the games where you just say hey I just want to kick back and see if Aaron judges back to being the Aaron judge that we all know and love did you say 340 340 I had not seen that that is insane I'm just realizing that the run mind for the Yankees is 1 and a half minus 150 I am seeing a minus 2 and a half plus 110 I guess that's the way to go that's a really tough number to weigh in baseball yeah this is a pass none of these numbers make sense you could again you could use this as a parlay piece if you want or you could try and do a prop out of it if you want to go with freed strikeouts or you know maybe Aaron judge gets back on track you want to bet Yankees money line and a judge Homer or something like that but as far as the straight game there's just no way
