9-2: Canada's PM Wants Us To Stop Mocking Them With Memes. So Here's More!

0:00Well, you tell us Americans to stop doing something, stop being mean, stop making fun of us. It's in our nature and I think it's in our character to rebel against that and to come back even stronger. So when Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney holds a press conference and says when the Americans mostly mean in the administration, but said when the Americans, and that includes you and me, want to get serious and stop making memes, then we can talk. Well, you know what that means. It's time to meme even harder and I'm going to bring some of the best ones to you this morning on the podcast in the replay. And I know this is most, you know, spoken word format and I get that and this is a visual thing with memes. So I'll try my best to describe them for you audio podcast listeners, but for everybody also pop them up on the screen. Just 10 of the best that I found my personal favorites, but you can literally find tens of thousands of them that are out there right now. 1:02us like that? You know we're going to come back stronger. You just know we are and we'll get to it. Speaking of that, extra finding me welcome to the wicked radio live stream. Money through Friday, 8 AM ish Eastern time on X you. You've been Facebook and the replay on those channels and video clips as well on those. More importantly on the audio podcast uploaded right after the live stream. And again, you audio only listeners. I'll do my best to describe these because they are fantastic. All right, here's what kicked it all off. Just yesterday, this is in record time. This is how quickly this all developed. Mark Carney, the Canadian PM who basically, and this is what started this whole thing, wants to our a neighboring nation to the north and they're in a recession by the way, the only G20 country that is they want to basically become a North American version of the European Union. This is most likely what his piss Trump off so badly in these trade negotiations. And what really led to this was us getting screwed for decades and decades on trade deals. Well, they finally got some pushback by you know who's in the White House right now and they didn't take to that too well.

2:02So we have basically cut off all negotiations with them. Now, being a political leader, Mark Carney turns around and he says, no, we won't talk to them until they're getting serious about things. And this was the statement that kicked the whole thing off just yesterday seemed like a little impromptu press conference outside of I think a government building. I'm not too sure. But this is the clip that everybody grabbed and has made us, yes, meme harder. Now what's a meme? Everybody knows what a meme is, but to put it into words, it's kind of hard to describe. It's a, you know, a visual representation of like a joke that becomes a cultural reference to make a point, right? I've always thought like the memes are, and they've been around forever now. I think memes are kind of like the social media version of a political cartoon, you know, they make a statement. They make a visual and it's a funny and it's a, where are the internet age now? This is a whole new open digital communication platform. So this is, this is the way that humor is expressed these days to make a point, which he apparently has no clue about.

3:04This is what started the whole thing off yesterday. How clueless and tone-deaf would you have to be? And when the Americans stop doing memes, stop throwing shade, stop trying to be tough and start being serious about having those discussions, we can have those discussions, but it's not constructive, but that's, that's their democracy. You know, the first thing I thought when I heard that was, because let's get this out of the way right now. Here's a little caveat here, the Canadian people by and large are a great, strong, independent people that are helped captive by their government, which is going so completely socialist and bending over and bending at the knee for China so badly that all of this is coming to fruition now. So there's a lot of Canadians have a heart for them. They're good people. They heard this too and they're like, oh, God, no, he didn't, oh, because they know what's coming. And they're social media meet. You know, we're going to take a challenge like that and we're going to meme even harder and we're going to come back even stronger.

4:04And oh boy, we did, like I said, it's our responsibility now is proud Americans to bring the memes because that guy doesn't want us to. This is how we rebel. So let's go through some of them. Mostly a visual, I get that. So I'll try to describe them for you audio only listeners, but for everybody else, I'll just kind of like pop them up on the screen. Meme number one. And by the way, these are just the ones that I had cherry picked. These are my favorites. You can find anyone you want. You've probably made your own if you posted anyway, but here's some of the best ones. Meme number one. Here's one. Here's that very same Mark Carney with a eye heart lake. A Marica T shirt. I thought that was cute because that's great and it starts it all off with him and the lake American thing. And by the way, the whole lake America issue, this was an act. We have a president now that understands humor and how it works and how cutting and effective it can be. Otherwise you wouldn't have the PM of the Canada of Canada, his trade negotiation partner,

5:06which is now his adversary reacting to this so badly. We've got a president now that actually will take this and make his own memes, put them on truth social or repost them and it actually gets to the heart and actually affects what's going on here. Here's the other takeaway. You've got a world leader and he is. Mark Carney is the PM of Canada, our neighbor to the North, who's reacting to this, which should tell you and me and everybody else that they see him too, which means these memes, these little modern day political statements, they have an effect. They do. So, meme away. Number two. I thought this was fascinating. This is, and this kind of speaks to Canada and their bizarre new alliances they have with other countries that normally you wouldn't want to associate with. This right here is the Canadian Maple Leaf, three of them over a flag of Syria. So the caption on this meme is maple Syria. I don't know, maybe it was the play on words that got me on that one. I like that one too. I'm trying to describe this for you audio only folks, but the visuals are here for everybody

6:10else. This is Trump with a make geese great again meme and they're not Canadian anymore. Basically, this is following up on the joke that now all the geese in Lake America are now Donald ducks. That was a great meme that happened before. Karna even made his statement there. That was another one there. I thought that was an acute element there. So that was nice. Here's a good one here. You saw a lot of these pop up on the memes that went viral yesterday. This speaks to Canada's association with China. This is the main thing that got Trump all in an uproar because they could have been trading with us, but instead they went right to China. That pissed them off and that pissed us off once we found about it. China da big Canadian flag with the label China da under it. Effective a meme not so much on the funny part, but still effective. Following up on that meme here we go again. Here's another one that went viral. The G 20 countries. Here's a list of all of them, all of them, not in a recession. The one that's in a recession is Canada.

7:13So that's one that's kind of again speaking to the economic thing of this entire thing. This one went to right of the sports fans. This is another meme that went viral yesterday. This is of course referencing what happened in the Olympics. This is our USA hockey playing eagle with a gold medal completely just dominated. A Canadian hockey playing goose. This is the one that probably hurt the feelings of the Canadians most. You can understand what happened there was probably one of the most devastating things that ever happened to Canada. Since they broke away from the UK, them losing to us in the gold medal game in the Olympics. That was massive. This was a great one too. This is one of the best memes that popped up yesterday. This speaks again to the China issue. So this is Xi Jinping, president of China, which kind of insults them as well in a Canadian mountain uniform holding a Canadian flag. A lot of these reference the China thing, a lot of the ones that were some of the most popular and made the most most headway.

8:15This is a good one too. Here's another one I personally like this one. So I put it in my top 10. This is a response of Canadians trying to get back at Americans and you saw this a lot too and this speaks to the lack of humor there. Is the guy in a Canadian t-shirt saying I think Americans are immoral, racist and evil. And then there's a guy in a Canadian t-shirt saying, I don't think about Canada at all. That kind of speak. You saw this as well a lot yesterday. I don't know if you've ever heard this expression that the left can't meme meaning those of the left in liberal mindset. They're not funny. That's why they can't meme. They never come they've tried and you saw this a lot in the comments of a lot of the memes here. They tried to come back with you know a digs their own memes that they're own in America. If you looked at most of them they weren't funny and I think it kind of proves the point that people are trying to make for a long long time. The left aren't funny. That's why their memes kind of suck.

9:15As opposed to something like this, here's another one. Snow Mexico. That's what I'm like favorite once in a while. The snow Mexico reference with of course Mark Carney in his little outfield holding a little flag. It's always the same visuals and this has been going on since the old days in the 1920s of political cartoons or 1800s. Whenever they're trying to disparage somebody when they're holding their own flag it's tiny. It's all visual. It's all persuasion. It all matters. But here's a video meme. That's a version of this too that probably made the most impact yesterday. This was going back again to Mark Carney's original statement. But somebody put a little musical background in this and you'll see here or here here while he's talking Trump comes up and just plays a little mocking flutal. And when the Americans stop doing memes, stop throwing shade, stop trying to be tough and start being serious about having those discussions.

10:18Again, I can't, the thing that stuns me the most is you've got a guy here who, here's the first takeaway. He obviously sees a lot of the memes. He obviously sees and was mostly talking about Trump who is posting his own memes. I mean, you know, to make a statement here to mock them to death. This is what he started. It's the whole reason why he called Lake Ontario, you know, Lake America and God, Google Maps and Apple Maps to actually follow through and you go on your phone and that's what it's actually called now. That's, I mean, that's, that's a meme in action here. Which tells you that world leaders, not just Canada, all of them see the mean, they actually are affected by this kind of stuff, which is why it's been so great for almost all of our country to respond this with more memes. You saw it almost immediately where you had this guy. When as soon as this guy made a statement and it went viral, it was about two, three o'clock Eastern time yesterday afternoon. It was almost immediate and everybody said it all at once. Oh, where'd you pick up your phones and response. I did too. I said, Oh, that just means we're going to meme harder.

11:21I guess it's a lack of understanding of the American mindset. I think is what this comes down to that that guy doesn't have a bunch of Canadian regular, good, honest Canadian citizens who can't stand that guy. They get it. They understand it too. They're funny people. They're strong. They're independent, but they're held captive because they don't have an electoral college. They're held captive by that guy and that kind of government, which is just going further and further left. Globalist, snobbish, not funny, elitist that is not working. Like I said, maybe the most important meme of the entire thing of all the ones we just went through is that one showing all the G20 nations, all of them, not in a recession. The one that is Canada, how's that working out? But instead of focusing on that, he wants us to stop being meme. Stop meaming. Stop doing this and get serious with the real negotiations. The big takeaway on this obviously, and the more serious part of this whole thing is that

12:23early part of that press conference he held yesterday that's getting mocked to death with more memes. The early part of that, which he said partly in French, because he has to speak to his French Canadians, and partly in English, was where it's possible to have an equitable trade relationship between our two nations, but they have to get serious. It's possible if they want to come to the table with it. Here's the problem, Mark. It hasn't been equitable. It hasn't been fair at all because we, as Americans, and this does affect every day, hardworking Americans, had been getting screwed by your country for decades now. We have an administration now that looked at this and they said, you're not a fair trade partner at all. Once we wanted to make fair trade deals, you walked away from the table for political points. That's what you did. See that? And I think this, everybody, I think this gets to the heart of the issue. I think this is what truly, personally, pissed off the Trump administration and him himself so deeply. And you saw it in the memes there. Not only did they walk away from us as a trade partner, as their neighbors, that were

13:23a share of border to the North, they went right to China to try to make their deals with them. I think that was the main issue that pissed them off so much, which is why this morning, yesterday afternoon, you saw so many of these memes come back in full force, calling them China's puppet. And there you go. I don't know if I don't know if countries like Canada, I'll say administrations, they're administrations because the people of Canada understand this, but their administrations don't. I don't think they'll ever truly understand the American mindset. If you piss us off, we'll just dig down deeper and push back even further. And again, and I kind of made this point, I think it was early this week or late last week about the whole Lake, Lake America thing, the whole deal. It's a funny, it's a ha ha. There's an important message behind this. The reason why Trump does that and sends out these memes and all this other stuff. And now even further now, because we were responding so strongly, is because it gets people to wake up to the issue. The reason why Trump named calls all the time, the reason why he makes fun of things, the

14:29reason why he says certain things and has catch names. And yeah, repost on truth, social his own memes or somebody else's memes is because it gets most Americans who are busy in their lives to pay attention to an issue. Before the Lake America thing happened last week. And now with the meme war that we're sending across the border, most of us had absolutely no idea how badly we were getting screwed in our trade deals, especially our American dairy farmers with Canada. No idea. And why would you? It's not most exciting thing. You have everything else going on in your life with your business and your job and your family and your career and all this other stuff. Not a lot of us were actually paying attention daily to the trade deals we're making with Canada. But here's the take away. We are now. Now because of all of this, people are aware of what needed to get fixed. And it's most likely going to. That's why you started a meme war with these people. And that's why we're winning. Telling Americans not to send memes anymore.
