"My son, my husband and I (both blindfolded) would be brought to a common visiting room for a supposedly 'two-hour' visit, but somehow the military guards always reduced this to one-hour or less.... On several occasions, although my son had a high fever, he forced himself to visit us because if he did not come, I and my husband will not be able to meet," reads this affidavit of a woman who was imprisoned with her husband from 1974 to 1977, under the Marcos dictatorship.
