Hey everybody. See this is why I think you would do well if you had more checklists. But what, paper checklists? You wouldn't have a paper checklist. I'll make you a book of the checklist. You can check it every single time. Yeah, I feel like that would slow me down though. Every time I have to check, I have to do a checklist. Yeah, I think that is just like you in a nutshell. Is that using preparation slows you down. So you just like fumble through the same facility. Making a piece of paper. But making a piece of paper every time you've done. Every time you take a show. No, if you have a, this is the reccein time checklist. It could be a prior race. Should be a mental checklist. No, no, no. So people love writing things down. You can't keep it up here then. What's the point? All the important stuff should be kept right up here. You're somebody who like would benefit from some help, but you're the least receptive to help.
Yeah, but you just like zone. You give such generic advice. Like, what if you made it to do list? No. No, this would be the reccein time checklist. You don't understand how. Why yours? Microphone, headphone. But I got all that done. The only thing I forgot to do is format the card. I did all of this. The one thing you were supposed to do you didn't do. That was the one thing I set up the lights. I put those two there. You put one light on a shadow figurine. Yeah. Anyway, I just think you don't understand how dark and twisted my head. You don't understand what's really going on up here, man. I don't even think you want to know. I don't think you want to know how fucked up I am. I think that's part of the issue. I don't even want to know how screwed up I am inside my head, man. I'm Mark Marin. My head is so screwed up. Right. Yeah. Anyway, welcome to a special episode of reccein time.
We're celebrating something. That's why I have the hat because Deborah made me a podcast wall. Look at this beautiful studio right here. Look at this. This is permanent in our apartment. She did the molding. She did the wallpaper. She did the... All right. Don't knock and wake up the children. She did the wallpaper. She did the paint. She went to Home Depot. She got a... She went to the lumber store for her husband's walk. You sanded the wall. You painted the wall. You put up the wallpaper. You dealt with the guys at the hardware store. Yeah. And you took the children to Dave and Hunter? You got the power tools out. She got the power tools out. I used to hand saw actually. Yes. Sometimes in comedy we exaggerate the circumstances of an event. I used to hand saw. I was like, hand sawing this thing and I was just like, I hope they don't come home right now because this is not going to be good. You know, because both kids would be like, what's that sharp dangerous thing I want to touch it? And so I was like, I need to get this done as fast as possible.
And then your phone died. So I should be given an award for most flexible wife and mother that exists. You best builder. Just best wife builder. Me with our children and with like 2% battery. And never tell me when you're going to get it back. I went and got it. That's actually not true. I feel like every time my battery is low, I do make an effort to tell you. They'll tell me. So I'm like, okay, so moving forward, I will have no. What's the longest you think? Communication with you. Let me ask you this. What's the longest you think you've ever gone without responding to a text message of mine? I guess there's that one time I was in Dominican Republic. Yes. And what was that like 10 hours that you weren't missing? You weren't missing for 10 hours. I was sick on both. You could start a second family in 10 hours. You could start a full blown affair. You could fall in love with another man in 10 hours. We got a pontoon boat and I never got motion sickness before but I don't know if it's because
I was filled with milk and not pumping enough and then also hung over and then on this boat and it was choppy water. But that was the sickest I've ever been on a boat. They were like, well, if you picked the other island, then it would have been a smoother ride. We were like, well, why don't you take us to the other? Why would you? We don't know the difference between. None of the girls you went with were posting in their stories. Because we were all sick on a boat. It was a very bumpy ride. I was like, oh, they all got the virus. They all got the flesh eating bacteria. Anyway. Well, thank you for building me this wall. I really appreciate it. It was such a nice surprise. You could have worn a shirt that complimented the wall a bit better. You're wearing like the complete opposite. This does compliment the wall. I talked about this on Patreon. I feel a little apprehensive about telling stories that I told on Patreon. But long story short, right? Yeah. I went to Goodwill. There was a fight right in front of the building before I walked in.
Almost not right in front of my stroller, but I don't know why you got to bring my kids to all the pours. To all the pours? So they can have stories to tell when they get older, when they're trying to be interesting, when they're trying to write a college essay. Right. They're going to have to say, yeah, it was tough growing up. They're like, in closer to their like hanging out. They're going to go, shot. They're going to go. I want them to go. Yeah, it was really tough. I grew up in Brooklyn. And I survived a fight. And I saw two men almost kill each other in front of them. But you did describe it like when Monday night raw, like the cameras would go behind. A guy picked up a chair. And the other guy was like, come on. They're like going backstage and in the parking lot. And he was like, you want to die today? You F-slur? F-slur out. Yeah. So anyway, so it's crazy because I go in, because it made me think like, man, many poverty is a mindset because they walked in there. And it's like everything is like, first of all, they probably take everything, like there's
board games all over the place. What are the odds at all these board games? They check the pieces. They check the pieces. They check the pieces. They check the pieces. They check the pieces. They check the pieces. They check the pieces. They check the pieces. The neue ball. To the same place in our brains. Maybe some people just be happy to have a game with no pieces. Maybe half the pieces. You got to play clue with no criminal master. And the monopoly has half the bank. Right. Or no five hundredth. Yeah. This boardwalk is scratched out. It's a real road. It's an enterprise rental car. In a checker. We better stop being so silly. We better stop being so damn silly. I'm looking around. There's one shirt I saw that I would wear this. It's like a basketball jersey. You know, summer is winding down anyway.
You know, just a Yorkville on it. That sounds upstady. I'm not anti-thrifting. I got my suit from a thrift store. I mean, you've been desperate to go. Maybe I'll go to goodwill today and get some shorts. You want me to tell you no? I got it out of my system. I brought my two kids in there. They saw a fight. There was a baby onesie in there. I could have bought for $2. But anyway, the point is going in. Everything's picked over. It doesn't smell that good in there. Just because you're a thrift store doesn't mean you have to.
It's because when I met you, you only shopped at J-Crew. Yeah, I would like to get back to that someday. That's one of my goals. That's on my five-year plan. What is it? Don't die. He's a big Zion. Anyway, so I go into after that. There's a long line at the goodwill. It's never like a quick, you know? There's a long line everywhere these days. The lines are getting longer. No one's paying attention to who's in person. It's all online pickup orders. For everyone. Turn this light so it's facing you more. I just stood at Popeyes. First of all, I've never... All I wanted was a soda.
And this woman was just packing bags in front of me. She waited like... No, because they probably get like a dimer if they don't take care of the online orders right away. We live in this technocratic hellscape. Technocratic capitalist hellscape. Right, oh my gosh, you were like so... You were run by technocrats. You're so like dammed a man. But anyway, so I leave goodwill. And then I go, guess where I go right after goodwill? Old Navy. I go in old Navy. What does it, you know? I don't know. But I go in old Navy. They got men shirts on sale for $8 a piece. They got men shirts for $32. What a bargain! For the price of $1. There were $8 a goodwill. We don't need to do this. We don't have to subject ourselves. I walked in and said, oh, you got two kids.
Are they sleeping? I got one sleeping one's wide awake. She goes, let me know if you need anything. That lady is going to get fired from her job if she doesn't greet me within five seconds. I feel like I fill out that survey that says you did not get fired. Because everybody has a ton of surveys nowadays. It's all surveys. And somebody's got it. I don't know. It kind of sucks. But you don't have the story that you got this shirt from the goodwill. No. But I got this shirt from old Navy after going to goodwill. And almost getting a chair thrown at my fucking head. Was it a metal chair? Oh, my God. It was padded, I think. It was padded at the top of my head. And then so we just like, so I had to like walk. And there was nowhere to really for me to go. Because I was like right in front of me. Not too, not too. So I had to go through the fight. I had to push my stroller. Yeah. I could do the fight.
Please gentlemen, please, I have two children. Gentlemen, I have two white children over here that I want to. I had to put the stroller into the street. I had to go into the street and go around them. To go around the fight. Yeah. Yeah. And then there were other kids right behind us. And some girl was like, and then he picked up the chair. And I thought he was going to throw it. So I was like, you know, anyway, whatever. My point is that you don't have to shop at goodwill. You could shop at old Navy. You have some dignity. And have some new clothes. There was some brand new clothes. Yeah. Without somebody else's armpit stains in them. Yes. Yeah. Goodwill is... And I just think that you should only thrift in... like the suburbs. But we've been through this, but it's like downtown Brooklyn. Yeah, but it is scary outside. And when you go to drop things off, you get all of the people on the street asking
for you to give them your stuff instead of goodwill so that they can sell it. And then that's why there's just stuff all over the sidewalk. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They do deserve to get here with a chair. So I want you to get here with it here. All right. So I didn't really do much. Because I didn't know we were recording tonight. So we're going to do a dead lead episode today. Well, I guess like so the first thing I wanted to do was... Tell me what's going on. Tell me what's on your mind. Yeah. What's... I mean... How's life going? It's actually like really great. I mean, it's hard, but sometimes I have, you know, I have little moments where I go. This is awesome. Like when my video gets uploaded. When I figure out how to log into the YouTube. And I don't need Michelle. Right. Yeah. And she was supposed to do one more episode with us. And she just like... I don't want to say she ghosted me. I think that's why she made you a cake. It was a good buy cake. So you can just keep her tougherware.
I am going to keep your tougherware Michelle. It was a big one. Yeah. It's glass. Yeah. I bet she wants a back. Yeah, well, you have to... That could be how you could... You're going to have to come over here and do the pod if you want your stuff in there. If you want your stuff over your back. If you want your stuff over your back. Yeah, take an Uber over here. Oh, you mean Eagle. Sorry. Yeah. So, oh, thanks for asking things. You're good with me too. Oh, well, I just assumed they were. Because you married me. Right. Because you married to a really hot guy. Right. Yes, I know. I've been hearing all day about how hot you are from you. Straight from the horse's mouth. Yeah. Things are good. I feel a little bit more stressed than ever. But I just got to lay down the law. I think this is making me feel like I'm an alone star. Yeah, I'm going to start being the sheriff in this town. Yeah. I'm going to make some more work. You're going to be like Gene Hackman and Unforgiven.
I don't even know that move, but yes. That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to have rules. And I'm going to have checklists. Yeah. And you're going to do what I say. Because you're done. We both. I think the party is over on the scene. Mike, we're seeing running things in this household. You're done. You're saying I'm kind of like Neville Chamberlain and your Churchill. Who was that? Who was that? I don't know. But the thing is like, you do know who these things are. You're saying that I'm Chiang Kai-Shak and your, your, your, your, your mouth. You too much freedom. You're saying you're Stalin? And you don't deserve it because like, I don't pretend to be an expert in like things you know. But have you ever read a single book about like child development or parenting? You did have me read that book about pregnancy that I read. Yeah. One. Okay. You read that pregnancy book. I said, it said, um, well, I remember about that is there's some cultures where when a woman's giving birth,
she ties a rope through her husband's testicles and she yanks on the rope when she's feeling pain so he can share the pain with her. And that's like the only thing you could take from that book because you're like, I don't know what this book's talking about. Yeah. You can definitely yank my phone. Oh, man. There we go. I hope I don't do that. I don't want to have to do like all this thinking and prepping. Yeah. And like, I hope I never get my balls yanked on. But maybe I want it. That would suck if I got a little bit. Yeah. Maybe a little bit. Maybe a little bit. A little bit. Maybe when you're really old and you're better at it and you tie a rope to my long rope to my balls when you need something you can pull on them. You'll be dead. Me? Probably. You really think you're going to outlive me? I think. What makes you so confident about that? I don't know. I just think that maybe. Is it my heart? I don't know. I don't know what I'm sending you to the doctor soon. You want a bad eye, Olivia? I'm the one who knows about executive functioning, child development, I behavior—
But you haven't read a single book in your life. Yes, I have. I've read lots of books. I've never seen really a book. I just saw the wait time reading books about like, I don't know, war? History's a road map for the future. Yes, and you're a fool. Here's an example. Go ahead. Mike is tricked by our five-year-old daily. I wouldn't say tricked. I know I'm being tricked when he's trying to. You're just always being tricked. Like, there's a thing many children, when it's bedtime, their needs will increase. I need a water. I'm still hungry. I didn't get enough of a story or a hug or a kiss. Sorry, I just need to go to the bathroom again. I want to play chess. I want to learn about World War II. Mike's like, do you have really great? OK, let's sit down and talk about the war. And I'm like, he's fooling you. Yeah, I guess he's not actually into World War II.
He's like, I would sleep, Daddy, but I'm really wondering about Nazi Germany. And you're like, mm-hmm. All right, let's hang. He knows exactly what better use of my time. Out, too. Get you to do whatever he wants. Sure. Mm-hmm. He's constantly pickpocketing you. I really don't like that, but I don't know see, like, I don't know what to do besides yell at him. He is going into my phone and taking, yeah, he's taking the tape or not. I would get down on his, oh my god. I would get down on his level and be like, I understand you want the phone, but it's not a choice right now. And you're not allowed to take phones out of Daddy's pocket. Something like. But you don't really like ever stop and confront you're just like, oh, angry birds, that's cool game. Yeah.
No, then once he takes the phone, I feel bad taking it away because I already into it. Because I know, I mean, imagine if I was watching YouTube. I mean, imagine if I was watching. Right. Imagine if I was watching. Your Thomas the Train video gets interrupted or ripped out of your hands. Right. Imagine if I was watching a come town compilation, you just came and ripped the phone out of my hand. You have a big, ah! Fuck you, I don't know. This is what my life was supposed to be. Did he say that? Yeah. He said that to me the other day too, when I was washing his hair, because he's like, I got a haircut for this. And I'm like, that doesn't mean you never wash it again. It just means I don't yell at you every day about not brushing it. Yeah. Anyway, I don't want to be Ellen, because I'm cool. I'm chill. Are you? I am. You've been a little yelling lately though. I know, because you guys are driving me insane. I don't feel like you work with me at all,
and so I had to make rules. That's bullshit, because every time he's like, I always try to back you up. No, you always pile on. And you think you're backing up. So I'll be like, Benjamin, don't do that. And you'll be like, yeah, man, because you want to act like a real baby, because no one's going to like you. You're going to be such a pansy illusory. Yeah, I'm doing bad cop. No, no, you're not. It's called good cop bad cop. It's a classic. Parenting. It's a classic parenting technique. Making everything worse. OK. You're right. Yeah, like I would rather that if I'm like, OK, well, you're kind of a buzzkill. I am. Oh, yeah. I ruined the party. Yeah. When at 11 p.m. Well, I said, Tiddy milk. And that was, he laughed at that. We were both having a nice, nice, nice meeting each other. Yeah, I know you're ruining our fine. I don't want him having, I don't want him. You were like, you were like, don't say Tiddy milk. Don't say penis. I'm like, so what? You're not in to science. These are scientific words. I guess Tiddy milk is not technically, but.
No, I am actually a certified breastfeeding specialist. And that was never a vocab. I feel very worried or were phrased or. But it's funny. It's see whether you're five or. This is what the problem is of being married to a comedian is that nothing you care about matters more than the punch line. So he will come on, guys. Be serious. No, idiot. You will capitalize on every opportunity to bother me. And you won't even care that I'm hurting or upset or anything you'll be like, mm-hmm. I do kind of enjoy when you get pissed off. It gives me a sense of power a little bit. It does give me a little bit of ease. That's a power that I can. You love to talk about women being evil, but you're probably a slither in. I'm a Ravenclaw. Get out of here.
You know I'm a Ravenclaw. This has been established for 11 years we've been together. You're not a slither. It's all about the choice. Slither in's all the house. Well, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw's are compatible, I think. I would have imagined. Because someone's got to be smart and someone's got to be kind. We both sort of fill those roles. Right. Yeah. But yeah, so. Slither in though, why do they have an evil wizard house? Why don't they just eliminate Slither in? Because a lot of great people came out of Slither in. I don't know because I'm asked to name one. I don't remember. Yeah, I mean, Snape was Slither in, right? It's a big, yeah, it's a real thing. But it seems like all the evil people were in Slither in. That is the other point. And it's about choice. So Harry could have done great things in Slither in, but he asked for Gryffindor, which shows you the power of free will.
But, okay, but if there's a group of, if, if there's a group of people that commit all the crimes, right? Why can't we just lock all those people up? Because I guess it's not always all the people in that one group. Sure. Yeah, they might be hiding behind the group. Okay. Yeah. Right, maybe they're hiding behind that. I mean, but what a radical idea, Mike. I don't think anyone's ever thought of that. Well, it's never been implemented properly, but I think I would. You know what I would do is if I was, if I was in power, I would just label people Slither in. Mm. I would just go, all the Slither in must report to the trains this afternoon. Okay. And would they all have to wear like the same green tie? Yeah. Mm. Yeah. Okay. Mm-hmm. Great. And I'm going to, I'm going to have a final solution for all the Slither in. Oh my God. Yeah. Yeah. So, interesting stuff there. I wanted to play two games.
Great. Love it. The first game is, we're not going to get a divorce, but if we got a divorce, it would be because. Mm-hmm. I know. I really, I can't see any world where we get divorced. I know everybody probably says that, but I think it would like take a lot. Yeah. I mean, I already put up with so much. I can't imagine what else you would do, but I guess like if you made it public. Like, if it was too public, I'm not going to be Hillary. Uh-huh. Like, I don't know. So like if you get like, in court questions about blow jobs. That wasn't court. That was a congressional inquiry. Right. If I'm in front of Congress, asking questions about getting my dick sucked, then that means I've gone pretty far in life. If AOC is asking me about it, if I got my dick sucked. If AOC is like- Right. And if that- Mr. Racine. I mean, I don't have to answer that. And I'm wearing the cowboy hat. Right. Yeah. All right.
So I'd be- That would be- Go ahead. Sorry. One of the things. Okay. Sure. All right. Now you're a term. We're going to go back. All right. But what's this game? If we got divorced, what? It would be because. So from your perspective, what I do. Oh. Like if you keep putting toilet paper in the garbage can. What? If you keep putting your poopy underwear on the floor. Nah, she doesn't do that, folks. I made that up. I don't know if you like, you know, embarrassed me or something. You know? If you carried on a very public affair, here's what I think about sometimes. You know, I think I'm okay. It's sex. I'm not the best. I'm not the worst. But do you ever think about how like there's 8 billion people in the world? So like there's the chances are there is someone who is not only better at sex than me, but more tuned into your needs and your body. And it doesn't leave their poopy underwear on the floor.
Yeah. Sorry. I made that up. You ever think about that? There might be a guy in like Senegal or something. Uh-huh. Or Indonesia. No, I don't think so. It's perfect for you. Okay. All right. I'm not sure. Yeah. But no, not right now. I'm like, when people are so obsessed with sex, I'm like, learn how to knit. What's wrong with you? It's a little much, yeah. I mean, like, come on, man. Yeah, yeah. You're in your 40s. You don't know how to like make that happen for yourself. Right. Like at this point, you just need like the physical equipment there and, you know, just think happy thoughts and move your hips around like what's the drama? Yeah. Um, so I don't know. Okay. So what about you if we got the word? Um, yeah, like I wouldn't be a hillering. So I wouldn't be like, cool with that. I'd be like, yeah, he's done. Um, over that. I'm leaving. Um, if you got caught shoplifting with both of our children and then I had like a child
protective services problem because of you, I would kill you. I don't know. I don't know. I would probably have to divorce you, but like, I would be so mad at you. Would you? If you committed a crime and got arrested in front of my children and then my children had to get taken to the police station and then I had to get investigated. And then you explained class consciousness to them? No. No, that would be, that would be bad for me. So why is, why do you so much concern with shoplifting? No, I just mean like, it's not about the shoplifting. It's about you getting arrested in front of my children and then my kids waiting at a police station and then I have to go. Fine, but it's so much easier to shop when you have two kids with you. See, this is why my life is so, you and the mental gymnastics that you play. Um, and all your life. Why don't we do a little trial separation? Why don't we get divorced?
Why don't we get divorced for a couple of weeks? Get back out there, both see how we do. Great. Yeah, I'm not saying you would do poorly. I'm saying you'd probably do fine. But you know, yeah, if you want to see what's out there, go ahead. No, that was never the point, but let yourself, you're so obsessed with like, so I don't think that getting divorced at the main reason for getting divorced is because you want something better. You're just sick of that person. Mm-hmm. Like you're like, I'd rather do this on my own. Yeah. I wouldn't really divorce you very easily, mostly because, um, I mean, the idea of shared custody, it just seems like a complete nightmare. Really? Yeah. She I kind of like it. Yeah, you want like free time and no rules. Oh, yeah. I want to drop the kids off. Yeah. So you're like, that'd be sweet. Yeah. Um, yeah, and I don't want you to take them. Mm-hmm. I want to drop the kids off to you and then go ride go-carts by myself.
Right. Yeah. Yeah. Um, I want to, I want to take the kids of Dave and Busters, bring them home, say, all right, guys, have a great week with your mom and then go back to Dave and Busters by myself so I can play all the games that I want. Right. And that is why I think divorce does work for some many families. Yeah. Because it is too hard to share the mental load and physical load. If you don't have an equal partner, it's probably easier. I think if you're a woman and your husband doesn't do stuff around the house. Right. It's probably easier to just say, all right, I'm done with this. Get out of here. Right. Yeah, yeah, for sure. But luckily I have my homemaker recene as my husband. You know, you're laughing, but it's, I feel like a lot of guys don't do that. He does, he makes like a nice ITT. He does the laundry. Yeah, I put like my curlers in my hair and I hang the clothes up. He drapes his wet clothes all over the apartment. I'm like, what is it, my day gown or whatever it's called?
I yell at the neighborhood kids. I have getting ready. You keep pushing this light. I don't know how it's happened. I don't know. Well, because you lost the proof for it. I did. Yeah. All right. Sorry. Maybe if you had a checklist. Yeah. Okay. So then earlier today, Mike and I were arguing a little bit and I was like, I don't know, man, things are hard. I guess I got to figure this out more. And Mike's like, we could always get some exercise bands. And I was like, oh, I would never try to kill you with exercise bands. That wouldn't work. Even though I know what you were getting at, like you're going before my kids are, for sure. But we're not going to kill each other. But if we did, this is how we do it. And I want Mike and Deb to take turns detailing how they'd kill each other, like three responses. So do you want to? I'd shoot you in the back of the head when you wouldn't even see it. But like how are you going to get a gun? You would just shoot me in the head with a gun.
I mean, that's the most humane way to do it. But like, how would you do that without me seeing the charge? I'd pay cash. You don't think I have money hidden from you? And then how are you going to make sure like our kids don't see you shooting me in that? It would be date night. Oh, okay. I'll say I'll take you, I'll take care for a nice date. And then probably in like the parking lot or something, I'd just put a bullet in the back of your head. But why am I killing you though? I don't see why. I mean, like just wondering. So I think like, why would I take the life of my kids' mother? If it were me. Yeah. I think I would get like, like a bear drop. Come on. Oh, some sort. And then just put like some hummus and pita chip in the middle and I'd back he would like think you were agile enough to get it. Because it looks really... And I think I was like doing myself a favor, like sticking up my diet.
Yeah. And he'll be like, this bitch thinks she's going to kill you. The bear trap doesn't kill you. Yeah, but I would get like a life size. Like a net on my neck. Yeah, like a... No, like I picture like the teeth claw thing. Like something that would get a person's angle, but like... And what, it closes on my neck? Your whole body just gets Ian. I don't know if that word... Oh, but okay. It's very messy. Yeah. All right, what's another way you might? I can't imagine anything but shooting you in the back of the head. I mean, maybe I could like, if we went on a cruise or something. We would push you off the cruise. That's a common thing. I think a lot of guys do that. Both you, you really watch boats with people. You don't know if they want you alive or not. Because get rid of someone on a boat. Yeah. You push me off the cruise. Yeah. But what about, I mean, but... I was thinking... That he embarrassing if they, if you don't fall off the boat. Right. And they... But there's got to be security cameras on the boat, right?
There's got to be security cameras everywhere. I mean, probably. But I mean, it happens still. I don't know. Yeah. Make it look like an accident. Yeah. Lock out the camera. Mm-hmm. I was thinking I'd also, like, I could get, like, a pile of bricks. Mm-hmm. Um, like, on the ceiling, like in a big load of bricks, like attached to it, a trip wire. And then maybe... So you're like, your wily coyote? Underneath, that would be, like, that hell of a good onion. Yeah. Like, with chips. And I bet that would get you. Yeah. Well, you do know what my favorite snacks are. I guess you know me really well. And that's when I realized I couldn't kill him because who else... I know him so well, and I know all the snacks that he likes. I know all the snacks that would lure him to his death.
Spanish and artichoke dip. Who's the weight you have to say one more way that you would kill me? One more way that I would kill you? Um, I don't know because I wouldn't want you to, like, feel pain or anything. I don't know. I mean, you're like, you really are, like, a great wife. Like, like, you build me this wall. You know, you're a great mom. You do all the mom stuff that I don't want to do, like, yell at my children that I can't do. But I don't have it in me to do because I'm too much of a, you know, a little pussy boy cock. You know, I'm too much of a little bitch. Right. Little bitch boy. Little bitch. F. Right. Right. P. Uh-huh. So, and then it's like poisoning. That's kind of like cliche. I thought of poison, but like, you are so annoying. You would taste it. Yeah. You would smell it. You'd be like, this is off. Yeah. You would stop eating it. I'd be like, did you use generic? You. It's the Trader Joe's brand. You know, I don't, I'm not really into it. You know Trader Joe's quality.
You know Trader Joe's butter. You know Trader Joe's. Yeah. You know Trader Joe's butter is kind of flat. It is. Yeah. Uh-huh. So yeah, you would, you just add ideas on how to kill me now. Hmm. I mean, I don't want you to feel pain. Mm-hmm. I mean, and then, and then, um, yeah, I just feel like shooting you in the head is the best. That's the only way I would do it. Right. The only way. You'd probably overpower me. You'd probably see it coming and you'd wrestle me to the ground and I feel really embarrassed. Um, I don't, I wouldn't like want to push you off a building or anything because then you'd be scared, I don't want you to be scared or feel pain, you know. Okay. I'm sorry. There's a scene in the wire where these two, these like teenagers have to kill their friend because he was talking to the cops. Hmm. He's brat. Yeah. Maybe it'd be like that. I would, I would maybe lure you to an abandoned crack house. And I'd go, I'm sorry. Well, I would definitely have tears in my eyes before I shot you.
Oh, that's sweet. Yeah. Um, maybe like a car jack, I don't know, like a botched car jacking. Like I would tell you to go, I would tell you to go get the chips I like over in the ghetto. Right. In the ghetto, see them in the place. I would be higher a hit on me. I guess they've higher a hit man. Yeah. I go not in the face, please. Right. So I can have a wake. We have, yeah, we have kids. Yeah. Um, I mean, I'm trying to think, I mean, you were playing the game Hitman. No. Um, but I saw you play it. You're like a musician. Yeah, it's fun. It's really like an assassin. Um, let's see. I mean, yeah, I don't know. I can't think of anything. What's quick and painless? I don't know. Well, I heard that, um, drownings are very peaceful. That's what they say. I don't think that's true. Right. Have you ever stuck your head under the pool? No, it's terrifying. Yeah, it's like under, I'm stuck under a pool. Why do people even say that? Drowning in the abyss. People say stuff that's like, yeah, I mean, you can't even know that. You're not dead. People just lie. Like, they're just, they're just lies out there that are circulating.
People say, um, depression is a chemical imbalance. What does that even mean? But there's chemicals in your brain. I don't, I'm not buying it. Right. Yeah, I mean, there are chemicals. It's like, yeah, it's like, sure, but, sure. Yeah. Um, but yeah, like chemical reactions. So my last way, yeah, but I might, um, kill you. Uh huh. And is that like, maybe, uh, I have like a bunch of knives that will fly from, oh, and I got one when you're done. Okay. The wall, okay. In the wall. Okay. And then like, but I need like your back turn to the wall, I guess, so that you didn't see the knives coming in like duck or move. Mm hmm. Maybe on the other side of the room, there'd be like, um, a seven layer tip. Mm hmm. Okay. So I'm tasty. Okay. Ooh. Oh, you're just being, ooh. Speaking of which, you think Taco Bell is open right now?
It's like a full eight to earth, a seven layer tip. Uh huh. Knives are coming hit me. And then you would hit the trip wire on the floor. Uh huh. And the perks would fall on me. No, this is the knives. Uh huh. Mm hmm. I mean, I guess I could do all the time. Wouldn't you want me to have an open casket or no? I didn't thought that through. I was just trying to be like, because you know how this like Lindsey Clancy case is going on in that guy. I think he tried to kill her. I mean, she's a nurse. You would think she'd been more successful and efficient at killing herself, but actually, but then why is she not saying my, my, my, I think she was like drugged and crazy. Didn't understand. No one. But also though, when we went to that suicide exhibit with Colin, yeah, remember, yes, we learned that women are often unsuccessful at killing themselves because they think about how they'll be found and they don't want to look like ugly.
So it's usually like, where is manner, where is manner like, where is manner like, let me make everybody late for work today. I know what I'm going to do. Let me make. I haven't been fucking with me for too long. Let me make literally 12,000 people have a bad day. I'm going to stop traffic from here to 57th Street. Right. I mean, you guys are like so dramatic. We are dramatic. Yeah. You know, also, dramatic was Jesus. Yeah. You know, well, I mean, he could like turn clays into like birds and stuff when he was just a baby. Yeah, but we have to celebrate his birthday for a whole month. And like centuries. Yeah. Yeah, they're going to stop celebrating. Yeah, I hope so. It's enough for me. It's giving drama queen. Right. Yeah. All right. And I guess the last, I guess what I did think of one more.
Okay. And I cut off your head with a samurai sword. Right. But where do you get samurai sword? How do you know I don't have one right now? Yeah, maybe. You're just walking to have a good well. And by the way. So in this hypothetical scenario where you're putting bricks up in the wall and knives coming out of the, up in the ceiling and knives coming out of the wall, I, what's stopping me is I just can't get a samurai sword. I can't go on eBay. Well, you don't have the same sense of determination. It's my evolution that I have. So I think you would give up where I would. Oh, you want to hear something interesting? I was, I said, I thought I sent you this Instagram. You're like, I guess I didn't. But this guy was saying that Leonardo and Raphael, the painters. Mm-hmm. I was like the Ninja Turtles. I know. At first it was actually. No, sweetheart. Not the Ninja Turtles. They were actually painters.
They were Renaissance painters. Yeah, I know that too. They were all named after her. They were Renaissance painters. Do you know what that is? I do. Okay. So the Renaissance. So why are you saying it like that? As I'm trying to do a bit. Oh. I'm trying to be like a condescending. Because it's, okay. I think the Renaissance. The Renaissance. Yeah. What are you saying? Say it again. It's the Renaissance. Do you know what that is? I'm not a teenager. Leonardo would never finish drawings. And Raphael was making this great living, just like painting, cathedrals, and doing work for the Pope. And the Pope tried to hire Leonardo, but he just wouldn't finish anything. But Raphael's paintings were more flat and one-dimensional than he learned from Leonardo like how to paint the human form with lighting and everything. So. Kind of like Micraseen, you know. One of the best podcasters out there. No one's listening to his show. He doesn't have a checklist.
Because I want a checklist. That's what's called to be back. A little post-it note with squares on it that I can check off. Well I made. I made you all these brainstorming checklists too. Okay. Why don't we stick to your notes? Well, we're going to fuck something up. These are part of my notes too. Relax. I'm not you. All right. Okay. So I was also thinking, well, my last part I wanted to end with this note here. Okay. But so this is like a one-pager that I made for you that I wanted you to do to organize your show. Okay. So I'm going to ask you those questions now. Is there an idea that's being pushed this week that you don't agree with, like a popular opinion or a media or internet narrative or something people keep saying? Yeah. There's an idea that cops can just kill people. There's also an idea that there's also this idea that I've seen about uncomfortable truths.
People go like, well, deportations are necessary. That's an uncomfortable truth or mentally ill people have to be institutionalized. That's an uncomfortable truth. And I think that the truth is not always harsh. Like this woman, right? Okay. She died. Okay. Yes. She was carrying, she was holding two knives in Times Square, stabbing people in the cop shot or okay. But aren't you a little bit curious about what was going on with her? Why that happened? Why did you stab people? You're very like if a flower isn't blooming, change the environment, not the flower. Yeah. I don't think that's bleeding heart. I'm just saying like don't we want to have the knowledge to make this like not happen again? And the same thing with the Lindsey Clancy thing. People are so, people are so short-sighted and ignorant that they go like, why are you defending a woman who killed her kids? Well, because those kids should be alive. They should be. Yeah. So like what happened? What happened? What happened? What happened? Yeah. And you've told me this when we started dating. You said Albert Einstein said the most important thing you figure out is the universe, a
hostile place or a kind place. Yeah. And I think despite all of the horrors in the world, there's still light. There's light and darkness everywhere. So why are you saying that the truth is darkness? Why in your mind? Yeah, because that's how you're going to see the world. Yeah. That's the world that you will see. Yeah. Whatever one you choose. Yeah. Yeah. I was also thinking like what about that financial guy that's been aggravating you? Oh, how much time you got? Well, you know, just wrap it up safe. Yeah. So I saw this. I've been seeing some like, you know, finance, personal finance content. It's like this like a, you know, dad, responsible dad content or whatever. And this one guy had his video. And the video wasn't even like that good. It was like kind of, it was just whatever. It looked very like amateur, like amateur content. Mm-hmm. You know, some people look good at making content. Some people are amateurs. Right, right, right. This guy just had this video is like how I, how I, what I do is as a financially responsible
dad. Right. First of all, this guy had a baby. Yeah. Oh, wow. Oh, wow, pal, you got a baby. Mm-hmm. Good for you. Oh, he had like a four-month-old baby. That's like, I like to put back on. I'm f**king off. These are so easy. Good luck. They're easy. Shut up. They're easy. Shut up. They turned into people. Wait till they turn, get turned into people. They start telling you that you're fat. You have a big fat belly. And you go, you go, no one speaks to me that way. Maybe you're perhaps your right son. Perhaps we should. Or when he makes popcorn and he tells you to slow down and that eats. Perhaps you're right, my friend. But the guy, but the first thing in this video, the guy goes, I keep 65K in an emergency fund. You know, just in case. Well, okay. So like, how is that advice that you're giving? Right. Like you have 65K. Mm-hmm. That's 65K. Sure, you're bragging. Yeah, it's like, it's not invested. It's not, it's just what it's just sitting there in a, in a savings account.
What, where is it? Right, you can't even like, like if it's that much of an emergency, like, every ATM has like a $2,000 limit. Right, like what is the $65,000 emergency that you're having? Maybe it's like what, I got, you get laid off from work and your dumb ass is out of work for 10 months. Right. You know, six to 10 months, which does happen people understand. It does, yeah. But, um, yeah. But I just feel like, so the fact that, like, the privilege to do that, like not most Americans can do that. And, but the fact that he was presenting that as like sound advice, like, is there somebody out there with like, with 65K to spare, just being like, I don't know what to do. Oh, thank God, I saw this video. You did good. So in this real, I was gonna, I was gonna burn this actually. Yeah. Oh, I was gonna, you know what? I was actually going to, um, I almost bought Apple stock. I was actually gonna recreate the bedroom from Clarissa explains it all with my, with
my $200,000. Oh, I was actually gonna get surgery. So I looked like Stimpy. Right. From Brandon Stimpy. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I was actually gonna hire the cast of Doug and paint them blue and purple and green and have them come to my birthday party. And that's $65. Right. You know? Oh, I was actually gonna like, um, buy a giraffe. I wonder what your giraffe would cost. I guess probably rescued it in like, I get, yeah. We just fed a giraffe at the white post farms. Nice. And then, there's a giraffe at a farm. Well, it's like, I guess like a rescue too, because there's a camel and a zebra too. Yeah. But then, I posted only a couple pictures and my Instagram algorithm figured it out that we went to a petting zoo. And then I got three reels in my algorithm about kids getting e-coli and dying.
Yeah. After visiting a petting zoo. Oh, the fear mongering stuff is so crazy. And there's just like a political guy that I follow who's like always doing, he's always like yelling at his, and I wanna say his name. The guy's name is, he goes by Valenti videos on Instagram. And this fucking asshole is always like screaming about nuclear war. And he's got like over 700,000 followers. But he's always doing videos where he's like, if you're not scared right now, he's a nuclear fucking war is coming. He wears like aviators too. Sometimes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, crazy. I wanna be like, you're fat. Be quiet. Slow down. Buddy. You're overweight. Listen, I just got a podcast wall. So not in the mood for it. Be quiet. You're overweight. Nuclear war. Yeah, right. No, my life is going well actually. No, I will not be scared. Yeah. I will be happy when I'm getting vaporized. Yeah, I heard that if there's new people, you know, I'll be doing. You know, I'll be doing. You just have to stay inside. Yeah. You know what I'll be doing?
We always have beans. You know what I'll be doing? I'll be successfully editing my videos on DaVinci Resolve and uploading them without the help of, without the help of, you know. Right. Maybe we should get more. Some fair-weather producer who abandoned me. Oh my God. Right. It was not sustainable for the podcast to continue happening from like six to 12 at night. No, it's fine. No, it is what it is. I mean, it was a good setup because, you know, but it's fine. We were sure we were sure the best. Of course. But I, but she was hit by a car earlier today. Oh, shoot. She was hit by a school bus. Oh, no. Yeah. And she's trapped under the school bus. Did you call for help? What's that? Did you, was, was there help? I heard about it. Third hand. Yeah, but she's okay. Yeah. Did you learn anything interesting this week, like history, where in the fact, topic, or
something new? Yeah, I'm always learning stuff. That's good. Always learning. So what's one thing you learned this week? I learned, oh, I mean, how much time you got. I mean, I learned that I learned a little bit about science. I'm reading the science book. I'm also reading. I also learned that. Would you learn about science? That Darwinism suggests that being kind, they're actually more suited for humanities survival, like kindness and cooperation and love. Love is more important than, you know, yeah, that's actually what helps people survive, even though Hitler probably wouldn't like, wouldn't agree with that. Right, right, right. You know, I think it's important to do stuff in Hitler with people. I like loving hope, people. People are moving forward. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I learned, I guess I had like three pretty successful feeding therapy sessions. So like all this stuff I've been preaching, which is like no pressure, exposure,
yeah. Inspired, don't require. Yeah. Let them play with the food, let them hold the bottle. Don't shove it down their throat. Because so many people like they equate success with eating, swallowing whatever, how much amount, ounces, but yeah, I got all three of these kids to do. Do you ever have like a really, do you ever have like a really overweight baby and you have to get them to stop eating food? Nope. Nope. I'm not afraid of you like for my life. We've been and can I say we've been in a couple fist fights me and you and I'm afraid of you. Yeah. I'm not afraid of you like physically. I'm just like, yeah, I'm afraid of you physically and I thought, and let me tell you this.
Oh god. I love when you bring up me. Those handful of times when we were physically fighting, I was like, I think I have to hit her back and I don't want to do that because I'm not going to hit her hard enough and she's going to think that I'm like a queer who can't hit a woman hard enough. You're going to be like, oh, that's all you got you. You fucking sissy. You're going to be like, my jaw really. I did. I could know my mouth the next day. I'm trying to eat a croissant the next morning. I'm trying to eat a croissant the next morning and it hurts. I can't even have breakfast. I can't even consume any protein for our next foot for our next for round two. I need to tell you. It's so funny.
Oh yeah, ha, ha, ha, I beat the shit out of my husband. Oh yeah, you go girl. It's so funny. Okay, so that's another thing that makes me with the Lindsey Clancy case. It's just like, you know, people are hard to go down. Like even kids, like my sister was talking about like she's a nurse. She's taking 45 minutes to get like a IV in a child. They'll fight people want to live. They want to live. Yeah. And like, it's a terrible thought. It's like, I've never had any like terrible thoughts as a mother. But like this, I've thought about this a couple times that like, it is so hard to wash our kids hair. And it's so hard for me to like, I'm so I'm trying to like wash the baby's hair. And I'm trying to like tilt him back to put his hair in the tub. And he is like fighting me to go down. I'm like, even to drown a baby would not be like. Yeah. You think about drowning babies a lot.
I don't drink. Think about drowning babies. You brought this up to me before. Well, because this is the game. I knew it would resist. Yeah, you would fight. Yeah. Yeah, like he's like, like I'm trying to rinse his hair and he's like, bracing the sides of the tub, like not like going down. Yeah. So it's like weird, like how did she kill three kids in 45 minutes with the exercise bands. But then people think the husband did it. I don't know. I do it. You think he hired you to get outsourced it? Or maybe it happened to earlier. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe he was cheating on her and she was like going crazy because of that. Yeah. And then she was on like all these drugs that like he drugged her with because they were crushed up and like, you know, shooting up them that she's a nurse. And I don't know. Like she took the drugs and then she believed like they were working together. Yeah. For like it was a mutual goal. Like he did. I don't know. Yeah. I don't know. We don't really know what happened. It doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense.
I've never, but like. But men are very quick to be like, oh, look at this guilty bitch. Right. Right. Yeah. And so it's not again, Jesse. Sure. Yeah. And I'm like, these police, the police did not do their job. They didn't even listen to this 911 call and. What does it cost them police not doing their job? I know. And then she's like, they did their job. And I was like, what are you talking about? They didn't even listen to the tape. He just said she said they're in the basement. And nobody else reported her ability to speak. And she had a smashed larynx. Mm-hmm. Her thyroid cartilage was shattered. Who smashed it? Well, there's saying she tried to kill herself by first slitting her wrist, her neck. Yeah. And then closing a window on her neck and breaking her. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like, so she tried to kill herself first by you guys put a trigger warning on this. Okay. By slitting her wrist. And then that didn't work, I guess. And then she tried to slit her throat, but it wasn't the right, like, right to left.
Mm-hmm. Or something. And then she tried to like close her head in the window to. Push her left handed. I don't know something like that. You know what I mean? Yeah. I don't know. And then jumped out the window. And then her body temperature was so low, whatever he like, they, people are saying they think that he hosed her off in the snow. Mm-hmm. And she was attached to the apple watch. Mm-hmm. And her temperature was like 87 degrees, which like, emergency responders have mentioned antics talking in his room. Isn't she bleeding guilty, though? Yeah. And they're not even, that's not even up for, so the trial is about, did she do it like manslaughter or insanity? Yeah. Mm-hmm. They're not even like fighting, whether or not she did it. All right, the end of my outline. Yeah. So we got to wrap it that way. What did you say you learned?
What I learned. That Andrew Carnegie was anti-imperialist for some reason. And that Teddy Roosevelt didn't fight in the Civil War. His father hired a substitute to fight for him. So he was like, that was his kind of like, he really wanted to fight in a war was like his thing. And what fictional piece of literature did you read this week? A book or not all short story poetry player, either. I got two holds from the library they were ready. So one was in Russian. I didn't realize it was in Russian. So I checked it out and then I threw it back in the book return. Oh, we got it. Kind of sheepishly. Yeah. And then this other one is up. So you didn't like try to learn Russian so you can read this book? No, it's a different alphabet. Yeah. I don't think I have that kind of time. Right, right, right. And the other one is a novel by Susan Albojawa. She's a Palestinian author. A lot of times she's on Twitter and she, people like kind of hate her.
She's on Twitter a lot. She's novelist. This is supposed to be really good novel. And a lot of times she'll be like, yeah, these Jewish demons won't stop. Right. Palestinian children. Little rough. Some people get it. Yeah, but it's like, she's like, what am I supposed to be nice to the people who are killing us? You know, right. So yeah, so go Susan. And I read some, I read the short story. I read the short story collection by Raymond Carver. I've talked about, I talk about him a lot, but I told you about this one story that I read. It was really sad, but it was sad in a way where it's like they don't, they don't like beat you over the head with it. Like it was a story where it's like, you read it and then you finish it and you go, oh, okay, that was interesting. The next day you're like thinking about, yeah. Because you know, it's like, I like, I like sad stuff, but if, when sad stuff is overdone, it's kind of like, it's like, if I see that you're trying to manipulate my emotions. Yeah. Too much. But Carver, Carver's great. So yeah, Benny and I read the cat and the skeleton or the skeleton and the cat.
It was like a short story collection at Bookstore Magic. It's a picture book. Yeah. And it was really good. I liked the little stories and I think you'd like this book. And definitely very like fall themed. It's like, you know, a nice pairing the skeleton and cat. I liked that. And then today I bought him a book, which is the pizza and the taco. So I guess I'm like into friends. And this is like a graphic novel. Are you sure it's not the pepperoni and the taco? Why no, what is that? You know, like a penis and a vagina. No. Okay. Pizza and the taco. Okay. And they're boys. And it's like a graphic novel. Of course they are. And word bubbles are really achievable. Uh-huh. Actually, when I get something to show it to you, I was telling, where'd you get that? At Target. I was telling Benny that you were. You went to Target today? Oh, yeah. That you were going to think this was so funny.
So they're going to be wrestlers. Okay. And. Oh, I like that art style. These are the favorite wrestlers. Yeah. It looks like Gumball. Who is that? Is that like Jason Momoa? Romain Reigns, that's fun. Hahaha. No way. I'm going to go to the war. The beef braising eyebrow raising people's champ. Wayne the talk Johnson. Okay, that's good. Hahaha. Hahaha. Whole Kogi. Hahaha. Whole Kogi. That's good. Hahaha. Yeah, I like it. And yeah, that was right. So fun. But yeah, like if you look at it, it's like super achievable to read. So I'm excited for that for us to read that with any. I had a really fun riff on stage, you know, that I was talking about, like how there's
con. I was at the library. And they were at somebody was like, yeah, that's probably that's some, that's a Zora on policy. And I was like, no, I think that's an Eric Adams policy. And I was like, New Yorkers love to have sex at the library. Hahaha. And I did that, I did that like in the moment. You know, nice. Yeah, you're so witty. I think you're probably the best comedian in the world. Thanks. I probably am the best comedian in the world. Mm hmm. All right. We done. This other graphic organize we could talk about next time. Let's see the next time. And yeah, the last thing I wanted to do is, um, can you tell me three best things to do with kids in NYC? Space club. Big indoor playground. Yeah, space club's got, and there's many locations. There's Fort Green. There's, uh, Green Point and there is Dumbau. There's a lot of park. It's pretty cool. Mm hmm. Any park. I mean, Brooklyn Bridge. I mean, there's a lot of great parks. I love battery park. And there's the sea glass carousel and a little small.
There's, I like that it's small. Yeah. And it's nice. And, um, I mean, off the dome, I guess I got to go, where is the beach? There's Brighton Beach and whatever beach you want to go to. Mm hmm. But I guess off the dome, I got to go like Chuckie Cheese, Dave and Busters. Yeah, you do that a lot, yeah. And I think I'm more Chuckie Cheese than Dave and Busters because Chuckie Cheese makes you take a family selfie when you walk in. Yeah. You have to show this picture of your family on the way out. You can't steal my kids. There's no abducting. Dave and Busters, that door is, both doors are like wide open. Oh, no, yeah. We lost Vera for a little bit. Oh, no, scary. She didn't really care that. Her mom didn't really care that much. But yeah. Right. Yeah. So, um, yeah, I always worry about Dave and Busters. Yeah. I try not to worry when you leave the house with the children though. So, don't, don't plant the ideas on my head. No, it's okay. And Benny knows to say, not my dad. Right, right, right. Good. Oh my gosh.
Yeah, so if you're coming to the city and you want to do free stuff, I would say, um, here 26 Hudson River Park. Yeah. Which is the, it's not a whale park. Those are surgeons. They're fish. No, I know. We just call it the whale park. Yes. Um, to that one. And then I would also say battery park. And then I would also say Brooklyn Bridge Park. These are all parks though. So, like, what else is good? Yeah. I don't know. Check back. So, in trick maybe. Yeah, but I wanted to be, people get pissed off when you talk about New York City. I wanted to cut something up. We had to make videos of like things to do in Jersey, things to do at the beach, things to do in New York, so that we can get more of these local people following us. Okay. So, that I can produce shows here and sell them out. Should we go to LBI? I guess we should go to all beach. Yeah. Maybe we could do another show at the stand. No. I don't pay me for any shows that I do.
Yeah. We have a waiting on our money. Yeah. Well, thanks for having me on your show and let me do it. You're welcome. Thanks for doing it. I just remembered that there's Pad Thai in the fridge. Yeah. I am not going to be able to podcast. I'm not going to be able to podcast anymore. You have to do more. I thought you're done after this. No, I'm definitely done after this. Oh, okay. Because I'm going to eat that Pad Thai. Oh, yeah. I'm not going to be able to podcast. Well, don't get excited. It wasn't very good. Yeah, both kids would not eat it. You spent like 22 bucks on it? Yeah. It was a lot. It was expensive. I know. Why I just love to be like, yeah, it was expensive. I know how to get many two orders of fries because he dropped the first on the floor. Yeah. There's some things you can keep secret from me. Yeah. There's something you don't have to tell me everything. You know? What was I going to do? Not give him fries when he wouldn't eat the noodles. Like he was hungry. Right. He did do really good eating dinner. So, baby. Yeah. Okay. It's going down the lunchroom. Sometimes it's got to be done about these lights, huh?
