cart targeting spas in Brooklyn and the NYPD has picks.

Police tell us the first robbery happened Wednesday on King's Highway in Graves End.

At a European body contour spa, they were armed with a knife and kicked in the door before

running off with $500. 15 minutes later, they struck again. This time at a spa on East 15th

Street in Sheep said Bay. I spoke with one employee who was working at the time.

She used a translate app to tell me the damage to her door is going to cost her $1,000,

along with the $200 in cash they stole. Police say while property was damaged,

people were not hurt in either of the two robberies. They have released surveillance photos

of all three suspects that were last seen wearing hoodies, married Lynn Buckley,

A sharp drop in the number of New Yorkers dying from lithium ion battery fires.

Fire commissioner Lillian Monsonure announced the drop during City Council budget

hearings. Deaths resulting from fires that were caused by lithium ion batteries

decreased from a high of 18 in 2023 to only one death last year.

Bonsonure attributes it in part to a social media education blitz.

The public has heard our messaging about safe use of these devices

and where possible is storing and charging a mount sign.

While the department has seen a drop in deaths, they have not seen a drop in lithium ion

battery fires, but a spokesman said more of them are occurring outside.
