6:14Miss. EcoLink is the strongest incentive still open to virtually every Ohio homeowner in 2026. Run by the Ohio treasurer, it isn't a rebate. It's a 3% interest rate reduction on a home improvement loan up to $50,000 over a five or seven year term. How it works. Get pre-approved at a participating bank, send the treasurer your quote and application, and once approve the state deposits funds with your bank to lower your rate by up to 3%. At least half the loan must fund the improvement, and there are no fees. Apply at ecolink.ohio.gov. Federal here and homes rebates, promising but still being set up. The inflation reduction act set aside about $249 million for Ohio in point of sale rebates. Here in homes, including up to $8,000 toward a heat pump for households under 150% of area median income. 7:15If it's live and you qualify, $8,000 dwarfs every other option. Utility, co-op, and local rebates. Check but don't count on the big utilities. Ohio's investor-owned utility rebates, AEP Ohio, first energy, and AES Ohio, were largely scaled back after House Bill 6 passed in 2019.
