Afghan Asylum Seeker Jailed for Raping Girl

On March 27, a 23-year-old Afghan asylum-seeker named Ahmad Mullahkil, has been sentenced

to 16 years in jail for abducting and raping.

A 12-year-old girl last summer, jurors convicted him last month on charges of rape, abduction,

sexual assault, and making an indecent video while he admitted to another count of, raping

a child under 13 before the trial even started at War of Crown Court.

The attack happened in Nunt Eaton, Workshire, and sparked angry protests from locals who

were outraged by the crime.

During sentencing, the judge highlighted the deep psychological damage to the girl, including

lasting trauma and health problems, noting how Mullahkil had deliberately targeted her

on July 22nd.

He will serve 15 years behind bars, followed by 12 months on license, as authorities continue

to monitor the case amid community concerns.
