Debbie Critchfield is the State Superintendent of Public Instruction and came on to talk about the public-private partnership that has developed in Idaho around AI and education. There has been a huge backlash as people envision young students hooked up to screens all day, but as Superintendent Critchfield pointed out, that is not what is happening in Idaho nor is that the direction she is advocating for with public education. The school systems in the area are also quite diverse. Boise school district and West Ada School District, though right next to each other, are quite different. Ada County is also home to our state capital and many of our elected officials.
