And we've been down here in spring training for almost a full week.

I mean, first off, who will ask, how's it been for you?

It's been good.

It's been good to reconnect with some people to see the team in action,

to hang out with the door-short eye crew.

It's been a fun week.

It has been a good time.

And so I'm bringing you on today because, I mean,

if everyone's listening to this right now,

may or may not know, we made our special announcement.

And that announcement is, well, Alex,

why don't you tell everyone what are you going to be doing?

I am bringing my talent to the North Shore Nine Airwaves.

Oh, boy.

That's not good.

That's what is the world coming to.

But actually, yeah, that's going to happen.

So Alex, you're being podcasting with us.

And I felt like maybe bringing you on to just talk a little bit.

Maybe you can tell everyone what to expect.

So again, you're coming on to the North Shore Nine.

Going to be giving us like a daily podcast, right?

What's your plan with it?

Yeah, like you said, it's going to be a daily show.

It's going to be reactions from the ballpark.

It's going to be insights that I have around the team.

Sometimes it's going to be a calm format.

Some of it's going to be informative.

Some of it, I mean, hopefully they're all informative

in some way.

But yeah, I want this to be just kind of part of a Pirates fan.

It's a regular routine of how they get ready for the day.

Yeah.

And that's that's you hit it on the nail right there.

Going to be a forum.

That's why I thought we'd bring you on to change some things

up with the North Shore Nine podcast.

You know, actually bringing some real insight.

But no, for I mean, that's why we're excited

because obviously, you know, we do a lot.

We bring a lot of perspectives from like a fan aspect.

We have the post games.

We have these other podcasts.

You know, we are here in spring training and whatnot.

But like bringing you on gives a whole nother fresh perspective.

I mean, you are up there.

You're watching the games.

You're live.

You're seeing a pleasure interacting.

You have your sources.

You know, so having the other fresh insight.

And I mean, we go back Alex, we really do.

I mean, it's been nice to see you grow up in the game,

get to where you are right now.

And again, like I'm super happy to see

that you're still in the game and having you on.

So so again, like you've had this whole week.

I know you haven't been and it's kind of funny

because I thought about it last night.

I thought about it on Amazon live.

And I was like, any last words and you kind of stayed silent

afterwards, like, you know what?

This guy's really not going to give us anything right now

because he's saving it all for next week.

Is that what kind of happened last night?

Oh, a little, a little.

Yeah, yeah, but no, go ahead.

Yeah, I mean, there was some stuff even about Callahan

that, you know, I'm like, I could share it right now,

but you know, we could just save it for next week.

That's what I've decided to deal with.

because that's what's called a teaser.

someone would say a tea, someone, you know.

Yeah, yeah.

So so again, this is going to start.

But you know, probably also incorrectly used.

But yeah, so it's nice that you have your columns.

But to come on here and maybe kind of give it to a different

audience, explain it a different way in a manner.

You know, again, I love this opportunity.

I love what we're doing, you know, both of us.

And like I said, we know you would go way back.

I remember you.

We talk a lot of times about like the old school Twitter days.

You know, how fun it was coming up in there.

So, you know, having you come on here, talk some more.

You know, we've had some good relationships over the years.

But I'm truly excited about what's coming forward here, Alex.

Me too.

I mean, like you said, the old school Twitter days and everything.

Like we were, I was freelancing doing nothing.

You guys were podcasting to about 11.

Doing nothing.

Yeah.

No, no, we came up together.

So this feels good.

This feels right.

So again, I'm super excited.

And we think they're going to be like how long?

About 15 minutes.

Well, we're shooting for about 15.

Maybe a little wiggle room either way, but yeah.

So also like shorter form to some level.

I know we have a hard time, especially when there's three of us.

You know, I like to talk.

Jim likes to talk.

Tyler.

So, you know, sometimes these 45 minutes to hour long shows

can tend to get an hour and a half.

And we can have content or comments, I should say.

And people saying like, I love you guys to show.

But like, is there maybe like a 15 minute show you guys can do?

So I think this helps out in that sense as well.

You know, we are going to have, and as we mentioned as well,

you know, permanease is back sponsoring the post game shows.

We'll have that every after every game.

But then Alex drops his like 15 minute.

And there's a different insight, different perspective show as well.

So I think this is going to be really good for a lot of people

listening in.

And again, this is a way to connect with Alex even further, I feel.
