Russia unleashed a massive drone and missile barrage on civilian areas of Ukraine today,
while stepping up ground attacks along the front.
Ukrainian officials say the strikes involved nearly 400 long-range drones, 23 cruise missiles
and seven ballistic missiles, hitting at least 10 locations, including Laviv and
Western Ukraine, and its six people were killed dozens injured.
In time, Ukraine's military commanders, as Russian forces, are trying to break through
defensive lines in several strategic areas.
The Institute for the Study of War says it appears Russia's spring-summer offensive is underway.
In his nightly address, President Vladimir Zelensky said the scale of Tuesday's attack
was a strong indication that Russia has no intention of really ending the war.
Ukraine's negotiating team had returned from the U.S. reporting no real progress.
