The Trump administration has imposed sanctions on a Turkish financial institution as part of its latest effort to sever critical financial lifelines for the Iranian government. The action comes after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent launched Operation Economic Outcast. It's the new administration effort to isolate already heavily sanctioned Iran from its remaining trading partners. Israel has released four Lebanese prisoners to the international Red Cross. In exchange for the four Lebanese captives, Beirut agreed to search for the bodies of Jewish Lebanese citizens, missing since the Civil War. The release, which includes a total of five civilians, follows US mediated negotiations. The first prisoner, Malik Ghazi, was handed over on Thursday.
