I'm Ed Donahue with an AP News Minute. Billionaire investor Leon Black refused to appear for a deposition in a House panel's Jeffrey Epstein investigation and then took an unprecedented step. Black is suing the House Oversight Committee to block its subpoenas of him. This is unacceptable. Chairman James Comer says the suit is a first of the Epstein probe. Of all the powerful billionaires and political people we brought in for interviews and deposition. This is the first time anyone's filed suit. Black is repeatedly mentioned in the publicly released Epstein files. Lawmakers alleged he paid Epstein $180 million during their years long relationship. Black says it was all for legitimate purposes. His lawyer accuses the House panel of a fishing expedition aimed at destroying Black. Saga, Megani, Washington.
