I'm Marcela Sanchez with an AP News Minute. Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband says the UK government is banning trade with Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, where it says settler terrorists are carrying out ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. The legislation I have announced today will be in place within six to nine months, and we will also take more immediate steps. Today we are sanctioning a further set of extremist settlers who have supported or incited acts of violence against Palestinian communities. The Foreign Secretary also added that Canada and France will also announce a ban on goods from Israeli settlements while Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Poland, Portugal and Sweden have pledged to support further action. Hurricane Lowell is expected to pass near Hawaii's westernmost islands, bringing damaging winds, possible tornadoes dangerous rip currents, and as much as 24 inches of rain to some areas on Kauai, US stocks are drifting lower. Rising oil prices are raising the pressure following the latest fighting in the war with Iran and Marcella Sanchez.
