0:00I'm Ed Donahue with an AP News Minute at the White House press briefing Vice President J.D. Vance was asked about recent U.S. strikes on Iran. Major combat operations are currently not ongoing, and they haven't been ongoing in a very long time. In fact, what we did just a couple of days ago is that we made it harder for the Iranians to shoot at commercial shipping, again, in order to ensure the flow of oil and gas into world energy markets. So, Vance says the U.S. is not talking to Iran. He says the message to Iranians is simple. It's been the same for the very beginning is you've got to stop shooting at commercial shipping. They've got to stop. It's that simple. And your point about negotiations, the President has been very clear. We're not talking to them. And we're not going to talk to them unless they stop shooting at commercial shipping. Iran has fired at Kuwait as part of its retaliation for U.S. bombardment.
