A P sports. I'm Jennifer King. Sunday was a big day for college football and division races in Major League baseball. We hear from correspondent Mike Reeves. The Braves lead over the Phillies in the NLE East is now five games after Atlanta's five four win over Philadelphia. The White Sox and Guardians both win keeping Chicago's AL Central lead at two and a half games. The race in Yankees both lose as Tampa Bay remains four games in front of New York in the AL East. In C.W.A. football number four Notre Dame beats Wisconsin 41 to 13 and number nine old Miss gets a 48 yard field goal to defeat Louisville 41 38. Washington beat Washington State 21 to 10 at the Apple Cup and LSU coach Lane Kiffin matches the hype with a 51 to 10 victory over Clemson. Kiffin did not use two players who spent part of the offseason within NFL teams. In US open tennis Arena Sub-Alenca and Carlos Alcarez and five Americans advanced to the quarter finals.
