I'm Ed Donahue with an AP News Minute. Efforts to reach an agreement to end the war in Iran
are tentative at best. President Trump's talks are going on.
The AP's John Gambral reports Iran has denied there are talks.
In the last day, we have seen an increased flurry of activity that involves Iranian foreign
minister Abbas Arachi, calling a series of countries around the region. And officials that have
spoken to the Associated Press describe Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey really leading the charge
in trying to get some forward momentum on what Trump said.
President Trump extended his deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Air strikes battered Iran and Iranian missiles and drones targeted Israel's Tel Aviv.
At least three people were injured in an Iranian missile attack on Southern Israel.
The price of oil has moved higher. Some of the optimism that sent stocks rallying the day before
