I'm Marcela Sanchez with an AP News Minute. A channel affiliated with Iranian State Television has claimed that a U.S. fighter pilot ejected from their aircraft over southwestern Iran. It's not clear what may have happened to the plane, including whether Iran was claiming it was shot down, or if there was another issue. The anchor on the Iranian channel urged residents to hand over any enemy pilot to police and promised a reward for anyone who did. The U.S. did not respond immediately to requests for comment. The White House released details of President Trump's 2027 budget, including a $1.5 trillion defense spending request. He's also calling for a 10% cut and non-defense discretionary spending. Trump had indicated even before the war against Iran that he wanted to increase defense spending to modernize the military. Christians are celebrating holy week with processions and reenactments across the globe. For more information at APNews.com, I'm Marcela Sanchez.
