I'm Ed Donahue with an AP News Minute Stocks Finish Lower, the Dow down 316 points. There are still a lot of questions, including whether congressional approval is needed, if President Trump carries through on a pledge to give every American $5,000 if Republicans maintain the majority in Congress. The Committee for Responsible Federal Budget's Mark Goldwine says the country is some $40 trillion in debt and has no money to simply give away. To give away dividends when you sort of have extra dividends when you, you know, have extra surpluses and we have quite the opposite. We're deeply in debt. Michigan Democratic voter Debbie Roseman is not expecting a check in the mail. It sure sounds like a bribe. Second of all, I don't believe a word. He says, I'm wondering where's my $5,000 doge check or the $2,000 tariff refund. None of those came through and I doubt this will.
