I'm Ed Donahue with an AP News Minute.

Artemis Chu is broken Apollo 13's distance record,

the three Americans in one Canadian journeyed farther

from Earth than any other humans.

We will continue our journey even further into space

before Mother Earth succeeds in pulling us back

to everything that we hold here.

But we most importantly choose this moment to challenge

this generation in the next to make sure this record

is not long-lived.

The Apollo 13 crew logged a maximum distance of 248,655 miles

from Earth in 1970.

Iran rejected a 45-day ceasefire proposal

and instead wanted a permanent end of the war.

We have a active willing participant on the other side.

They would like to be able to make a deal.

I can't say any more than that.

The president has said a deadline for Iran

to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to all ship traffic.
